While biking the medieval villages we stayed here for two nights. The dinners were very good. The large rooms have a patio near the unique pool. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The scenery with large grassy areas, trees and the medieval village was peaceful.

Had a couple of days stay in the midst of a Catalan cycling tour. Pretty village. Very well set up hotel. Great staff, really good food and wines and an AMAZING 13th century town Centre. There are at least 5 other beautiful old villages in the area and the Dali Castle is just up the road. This is a great... More

We had a darn near perfect 3 night stay! The small village is close to Girona so those that want nightlife, a variety of restaurants can get there quickly. The one compliant is the air conditioning did not work in our room on the second floor.

We wife and I spent two nights here in May during a cycle touring trip and absolutely loved it. The owners are incredible and can paint a history of the Catalonia region. The food was incredible and the rooms are clean, really well done. Don't miss this spot, it is incredible.

Sandra and her husband run this gorgeous hotel. The main part of the hotel is in a 19th century hospital with beautiful arches. Most of the rooms are in a new structure that is eco-friendly with gorgeous lawns. The rooms were, by far, the largest and most comfortable we had in Spain. Super comfortable beds. Modern with high ceilings, sweeping... More

It's not often one gets to stay in an inn that's several centuries old. Aside from its great character, comfortable environment and great location, what makes this hotel truly outstanding is the service offered. Joseph speaks excellent English and provided information requested.Sandra is gracious in every way. The two of them assisted us with every inquiry. The food at the... More

I absolutely loved Arcs de Monells. I stayed here with a group of eight and the hotel was arranged by Creative Catolonia bicycling tours so I did not have much in the way of advance expectations. I am so glad to have experienced this gem of a hotel. The owner and staff are engaging, gracious and welcoming, and provide 5... More

We stayed here two nights and loved the hotel, their restaurant and the owners. The mix of modern and new is done perfect and our back sitting area overlooking the yard and pool was lovely.. This is a great destination if you want to treat yourself to something special and get away from the crowds of Barcelona.

This cute little hotel in the quiet and very small town on Monells in Catalanya is a real piece of medieval history. Located about 40 minutes drive from Girona it is a great place to stay if you want somewhere quiet. Built around a mediaeval marketplace of stone buildigs, Arc de Monells is a delightful little village of narrow, cobblestone... More
