On arrival at the Airman we had to go to Bar to get someone to check us in as reception was unmanned .As we were only staying for one night to attend a function locally we were informed that the Hotel would be locked at 11pm and we were given a code to re-enter via side entrance as we would...

Booked this as a last minute accommodation choice as needed somewhere quickly and price friendly. The hotel itself is very tired and needs refurbishing, The room we had was a family room which was ok but the beds themselves were not that comfortable. What made up for a few things was the food, which was just lovely. The homemade pie...

This was our first visit to the Airman Hotel and we had been advised to book a table in advance for the restaurant, although we had no need to. On arrival we went into the bar and were asked by a pleasant young lady if we would like to have our lunch in the bar area or the restaurant, and...

We never stayed here as we are local, but we fancied pub food one Friday evening and several of the local country pubs have either stopped food in the evenings... Or it's not worth the visit. The manager, or head waiter was charming, polite and knowledge of the menu. He was really helpful and we felt welcomed. I went for...

Stayed here despite lukewarm Tripadvisor reviews due to good location. Hotel is run by a young Nepali who is charming, but apparently hasn't the dosh to fix it up. Clean rooms, good simple food, relatively quiet for a place so near the highway. No air conditioning and no fans. My TV was from about 1975 and didn't work. No lift,...

When we arrived I was presently surprised by the décor of the reception as it looked fresh & modern as the reviews I had read were quite harsh! We were given the bridal suite at no extra charge...although once seeing the room I thought I'd hate to spend my first night as a married couple in this room!! Although the...

On August 12th 2016 we held our wedding reception at The Airman. Gemma was fantastic throughout the whole process of arranging, organising and booking our reception. No request was too much, whether it be simple questions about the day, or ordering buffet items outside of their menu of options. She took the time to show us the restaurant area ahead...

Attended a wedding reception at this hotel. In February booked a double room for 2 people for 2 nights so that we could attend the wedding and then the reception. Discount on room for wedding guests. When we arrived the owner/manager, not sure which, said the room was for 1 person for 1 night and no discounted price. Length of...
