Argyll House is a small bed and breakfast set in the beautiful, coastal village of Westleton. Westleton benefits from two pubs, a well-stocked village shop, tea rooms, an art gallery, book shop, garage and a post office; all within easy walking distance. We are close to the world renowned Minsmere nature reserve and the legendary town of Dunwich. We are also in the middle of one of the few dark sky areas in the UK, making for some magical star gazing evenings. Nearby are the lovely sandy beaches of Walberswick, the bustling towns of Southwold and Aldeburgh, and the wonderful Snape Maltings. We look forward to greeting you from May 21st when we open our doors. We are only 2.2 miles from Darsham Train station which has direct links to London Liverpool Street and beyond. All our rooms are en-suite and equipped with WiFi, tea and coffee making facilities, USB charging points and TVs. There is a guest lounge (currently unavailable due to covid restrictions), and our breakfasts are freshly prepared from locally sourced ingredients, where possible, served in the guest dining room.

Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

We enjoyed our 3 night stay in this tidy, clean and well decorated B & B, sleeping in the spacious twin bedded Siskin room with the excellent en suite walk in shower and almost instantaneous hot water. We had a windy and invigorating walk at RSPB Minsmere, with the highlight of our break being our visit to the Henstead Exotic Garden, chosen by Alan Titchmarsh as his favourite "Flights of Fancy" Garden on his ITV programme a few years back, in contrast to East Ruston Old Vicarage Garden which he relegated to third place. Thank you Kate and Oliver for your hospitality, and for looking after us so well with your tasty, filling breakfasts. We'll be back.

Lovely rooms with all needs met. Comfortable and well equipped. Everything has been well thought out and presented. Hosts very friendly and welcoming. Great choice for breakfast and possibly the best cooked breakfast I've ever eaten. (Perfect for Minsmere RSPB)

Hubby & I booked Siskin room for 3 nights. We were greeted by Oliver who showed us to our beautiful, spacious and spotless room, the en suite was good size to. The shower is great, didn't want to get out of it. The full English breakfasts were huge, and kept us going all day. There is a very good choice for breakfast which is chosen the night before. Kate & Oliver were excellent, friendly and helpful hosts. Within the village there are two pubs, The White Horse & the Westleton Crown, there's also a village shop with a post office. Opposite that is a second hand bookshop within an old chapel. Unfortunately we didn't get to go into the gallery that is in the village. We would highly recommend this great B&B, which is not far from RSPB Minsmere.

Really lovely stay here … us and friends’ rooms were beautiful and spotlessly clean. Friendly owners were great, too, and served a wonderful breakfast! Absolutely no complaints about Argyle House itself and would highly recommend it! Only slight snag was parking - none at the guest house, so had to find space in village.

We stayed at Argyll House for 3 nights in Siskin room. Oliver was a great host, Kate was away on our visit, nothing was too much trouble. The room is beautifully decorated, spacious with a lovely en suite. The shower was too die for!! The breakfast was of superb quality and variety. Kate's cobbler was particularly outstanding! The house is situated in a peaceful village and well situated for visits to local attractions. Highly recommended for a stay. We shall certainly return and continue our Suffolk adventures.

We've stayed at Argyll House on 3 occasions now and we have a further 2 visits booked in the coming months. Kate and Oliver are wonderful hosts, the Kingfisher and Siskin rooms are spacious, comfortable and beautifully decorated. The cooked breakfast is one of the best we've had. We can't recommend a stay here highly enough, particularly if you're visiting Minsmere Nature Reserve, which is a short drive from here

I don't usually believe it when a place has only 5 star reviews but on this occasion, it's justified. This is an exemplary B&B - very clean and comfortable bedroom and excellent breakfast. Everything is run with impeccable efficiency by Oliver and Kate who on top of everything else are very helpful on local knowledge such as suggesting places for dinner.

We stayed one night in downstairs room, Kingfisher I think it was called. Beautifully renovated bedroom with all facilities needed and I enjoyed a relaxing soak in the huge bath. Lovely hosts, very helpful and made us feel like we were visiting friends. Bed was comfy. Easy walk to either pub in the village. Good breakfast where you can just order what you would like (pre-order night before). We will definitely return and stay longer! No pics of Argyll House, sorry, we went walking at Dunwich Heath and Minsmere during our stay.

We stayed here whilst attending a wedding at nearby Theberton and it’s perfect! We stayed in the upstairs double room - the bed was super comfortable and the shower was great too. Fabulous choice for breakfast (ordered the night before) I can thoroughly recommend the blueberry cobbler! The owners were lovely and made us feel extremely welcome. We will definitely be back!
