I've stayed here several times now and I love it. The owner Tony is lovely and really helpful. Beautiful little old pub hidden away with gorgeous clean rooms with so many lovely and homely touches and to top it all the home cooked food is fab. Really close to Glastonbury, Wells, Shepton, Frome and other great places to Walk or...

Booked a meal for 30 but got a table of 26, prawn cocktails had a lot of mayonnaise in it, the bread that come with it was the only thing that soaked up most of it and made it better. The other choice of starter was a soup which contained either the dogs hair in, or jakes (the very big...

Me & my friend arrived at 2pm on Friday the 16th of December 2016, we went in & walked around & rang the bell for over 20 mins when all of a sudden this man appeared with his flies open, dirty clothes & unbrushed hair. He showed us to our chalets that we're in the garden & left us. We...

When travelling around the country I always look for the combination of a good place, reasonably priced and a decent room. The dusthole promised to be just that. A king size en suite at £90 in a place boasting history and good food. We arrived late evening and were greeted by a nice and quirky place, we were taken to...

I stay here several times a year when visiting family and it never disappoints! The staff are so welcoming, the food is divine and, from someone who dislikes dogs, the dog is adorable! My rooms have always been clean, well themed and comfortable. As I'm sure others have said, location is not amazing but thats not the hotel's fault in...

We were upgraded to a suite but no dressing table and mirror, two in the bedroom but too high! The bathroom was large, lovely bath and shower but no shelf for toiletries and no door!! Lots of lovely pictures and lamps but so cluttered. The barmaid was very brusque, she was taking orders, serving drinks and food clearing tables, I...

My husband and I did an overnight stay here on our fleeting trip to England. We really enjoyed our stay here! The room had everything we needed, comfortable bed, ensuite, plus quirky extras like the staircase to nowhere in a cupboard! (used to go to upstairs) Tony is a great host, willing to have a chat and answer the many...

Poor decoration - very dusty - cracked sink - grotty shower - welcome to room 2 - Tony the landlord asked me " what do you expect in a building this age?" I expect the website to show true pictures of my room and the staff to be helpful - not a happy customer

This was a trip of two experiences, one awful and one very good. The awful is that it is in a state of disrepair, windows not shutting properly, poor finish as in bathroom door did not close plug sockets coming away from the wall. The owner did try and put this down to the charm of its age, however my...
