We stayed at the hotel as a stop over to the Lake District. Early communication was fantastic and we were greeted by a clean and safe environment. The staff asked us to clean our hands with sanitiser at the main door and there was a clear, separate entry and exit door.

Our roof large, comfortable and clean. The beds were very comfy and we had adequate space to move, especially with two small dogs.

The shower was spot on. Powerful and hot with plenty of space to move.

We had a good selection of teas and coffees in the room and even though the restaurant was closed (because of the current climate) we were told about the many places to eat locally and the hotel provided crockery and cutlery to eat in the restaurant.

We will certainly stop here again.

As a site field service visit base, it was the second time we have stayed there and what a difference a year makes! Covid 19 restrictions, No Tourists! No full English! No Restaurant! No drinks in the bar before dinner! Social distancing to be maintained. Patch was stressed tighter than a size 10 G string on a size 30 bum when we arrived, wondering what type of people would be first through the door! It could have been a really stressful week for everyone...not just Patch!
Craig and his staff, Emma, Kate Jimmy and Elliot et all, could not have been more helpful and friendly. It made our week as relaxed as it was. We were given enough towels, Coffee, Tea and toilet rolls to open a stall on the weekly market! All the information was at hand to ensure we could order our obligatory takeaway meals in the evening (Big thanks to Bron for the meals she brought to us!) The El Toro Tapas restaurant in town takeaway menu is really good too.
It really was like being part of the family and can't wait to go back next year. A lovely Hotel and a fantastic team running the show!

Went as a treat for a nice night out was really disappointed with the state of the room that was £120 a night, mainly the bathroom, there was a full length see through glass door which didn’t even close properly never mind lock and opposite this door there is a full mirror, the shower was over a very old looking bath tub what needed a good bleach with parts of its metal work missing. We were booked in as two people but the room only supplied one coffee mug to share in the morning. I’m sorry but you get better in a £60 a night travel lodge for a £120 a night I expect to be able to go to the toilet with privacy.

I have stayed at The Crown several times in the last year as I work for a company based in Doncaster. Myself and my colleagues had previously struggled to find a hotel and location we were happy with but staying at the Crown changed that totally and I wouldn't go anywhere else now.

Parking is simple with a large car park behind the hotel. The bar and reception area is very pleasant to have a drink in, the rooms and breakfast are excellent and the breakfast staff will be flexible if you have an early start whch is appreciated.

Bawtry has so many options to dine in, within 5 minutes of the Hotel there are excellent Italian, Indian and Chinese restuarants with many other options locally, you are spoiled for choice.

The staff at The Crown could not be more friendly, Holly and her colleagues on reception go out of there way to help and I would recommend it to anyone who needs to stay in the Doncaster area.

Nice clean hotel with good atmosphere around bar area. The evening food was very nice with good options. Breakfast was ok, cooked breakfast was to order, I personally prefer buffet style, having said that though, once the food arrived it was to a high standard.

One slightly old fashioned objected was the key to the room, it was a traditional key with an extremely large key ring not the normal electronic card.

Good stay overall and would be very happy to stay there again.

We visited the Crown hotel as a treat to ourselves and had one of their executive suites. The room was modern, clean, very spacious and comfortable, and despite the heating being temperamental, we were sorted out very quickly and easily. Many thanks to the reception staff for their quick response.

Breakfast was amazing. I can recommend the Great Yorkshire Crown breakfast, as it was very tasty, well presented and you got a very well sized portion. I’m a person who likes his food, and it was with regret that I had to leave a little! Our server Lesley was incredibly friendly, courteous and nothing was too much trouble. If you get any sort of recognition for excellent customer service Lesley, I would say yours was second to none and I work in customer service, so I know what excellent customer service looks like.

We would definitely come back again, and I would recommend you go for the executive suite. I had one of the best night’s sleep’s in a hotel, I have ever had.

Thank you so much to you all 😁

This is the 4th time we have stayed at the Crown and was by far the most disappointing stay. On arrival we were in the main hotel we have always been in the annexe before. Once upstairs the corridors are tired and in need on some refurbishment. The woodwork looks like its got 4 coats of paint on paint, there were holes in the carpet and ceilings where there has been an old leak. The standard of the room is excellent but we found the quilt was wet and although we booked a double room only one towel was left out. The shower gel dispenser did not work and worst of all the room was freezing cold as was the rest of the hotel. We went for a drink in the bar and like everyone else had to keep our coats on. The drinks are well over priced paying £13.50 for a pint and single gin and tonic. We arrived for breakfast and was greeted by 2 of the staff who looked frightened I think for one of them it was their first day but due to a lack of experience we were left bemused as to what the procedure was and had to ask a older member of staff to clarify. Unusually we had to help our self to coffee and toast which ended up being 10 mins waiting in a queue.
One massive positive the lady running the service was brilliant under difficult circumstances with such a young team under her. She always knew what stage every table was at and was constantly telling her team what to do and where to go with a smile and positive attitude. She was everywhere making sure everyone was happy. At £150.00 for the room for the night we have paid less at other hotels and had better quality and service if I was on 4 in a bed I would have offered £95.00

As Covid restrictions were still in place, upon arrival the staff were thorough and attentive providing a wealth of information to make our stay pleasant. Arming us with an extensive range of take away options to help us source a meal. Good recommendation by Sam.

Sam was particularly helpful in getting us settled and looking after us, apparently, Jimmi trained him! Well, that's what told me to say if the feedback was good.

The bedrooms definitely had the 'wow' factor and were fitted out to a high standard, great decor and the mattress was ridiculously comfortable!

Would recommend staying here, the staff have fantastic personalities and really make you feel welcome and comfortable.

Our stay was completely faultless. Room was bigger than expected, with a nice bathroom and complimentary facilities, a large & comfortable bed, we stayed on the ground floor which the receptionist arranged for us when we requested it.

The cocktails at the bar were fairly priced and tasted delicious!

The night staff were very friendly and made us feel welcome and relaxed.

Same can be said about the morning staff, smiley, friendly & helpful. Breakfast was very nice and set us up for a busy day of shopping around the nearby shops in Bawtry which is a very pretty village.

Would highly recommend The Crown Hotel to anyone visiting the area
