This hotel is a stones throw from the airport, literally a 1 min walk over the road. Even with it's proximity to the airport I didn't find noise an issue.

Excellent location. We used the train and metro services to get to the airport and the stop was very close by. The airport is a minute walk if that.Lovely clean rooms and a good breakfast. All in all an excellent way to end our holiday.

kettle fualty no bar service late at night shower/bath controls difficult to use the location for Newcastle airport is excellent the package of staying overnight and mfacilities is very good using the parking

They definitely have a sports channel on but I'm not sure if it's Sky Sports or BT Sports. I'm actually staying there next Friday if you're not staying there until after Friday 3rd February I can definitely tell you on the friday night.
The metro system is inside the airport terminal,a short walk from the doubletree,and only a few stops into the city,so your access to the stadium should be very easy.
