I didn't stay at the hotel, but the pub is great!! The staff is over the top nice and the food was WAY better than I expected from a pub. Killer whiskey selection at decent prices and an awesome place to hang out with locals. A must if you are staying in the area.

Was looking for a last minute one night in Aviemore, nothing available. Found this lovely little hotel in Carrbridge, just 5 miles away. Quite glad now that Aviemore was fully booked, as this was just perfect. Great location, fantastic food, really good prices and our Dog was allowed to sleep in our room. Will definitely be back.

Walked into the bar area about half an hour before the food service started. Locals and a dog at the bar. Ordered drinks and settled into a couple of games of pool while staff kindly prepared a table for us even though we were early. Good highland hospitality and the food was lovely. Decor was a bit dated but that...

Arrived, only to find out I had somehow cancelled my booking (totally my fault). The manager was able to find us a small double room, apologising for its size, but well priced to compensate this. He could not have been more helpful. The hotel does look a little tired, but is not dirty or unclean. We ate in the bar...

We stayed in the b&b next door for 5 nights and ate in the Cairn Hotel every evening. The food was amazing, the staff very friendly and the service excellent every evening. We wouldn't dream of eating anywhere else while staying in the Highlands, and look forward to the next opportunity that we will be able to come back!

Popped into the Cairn Hotel on Friday 1st August, without reservation looking for a table for 4 for a meal. The barman was very accommodating even thou the place was so busy, he got us a table within 20 mins and the meal and service was superb.
