Detailed Reviews
From the outset the owners of Carrmoor Guest House were sharp on communications and efficient. I was lucky to find space available for accommodation during my week's climbing. Soon after their rooms were fully booked for the entire season. The guest house has up to date decor; is maintained spotlessly and in working order; is warm throughout including a wonderful coal fire in the guest lounge; the breakfast is out of this world (vegetarian options are available and meats/fish are locally sourced); the evening menus and meals are a triumph and there is little reason to go out for supper as you'll find nothing to beat; the owners are very friendly. Highly recommended

Staying at Carrmore is like your staying with family members. Christine & Michael both greet you on arrival and you get a cuppa and shortbread. There living room area is so homily and a great meeting place with guests. Michael is a trained chef and the food is excellent you certainly don't leave hungry. The rooms are large and of high quality and spotless. The couple knowledge of the area is excellent and give you advice on places to visit. First class accommodation can't fault whatsoever. Worth more than 5 stars.

For the first time I understood the the difference between a guest house and a B&B. What a welcome from Christine and Michael. We felt that we really were being welcomed into their home as their guests. Greeted with the warmest smile and a welcoming pot of tea and a chance to chat to our hosts. Rooms perfect but best of all was the fantastic menu on offer. Michael is a true chef and it shows. Generosity abounds both in the welcome received and the food. Nothing was too much trouble- even to having my blouse hung up to dry outside while I went walking! Highly recommended and we felt we found new friends. We will return not just because of the great value for money but for the wonderful hosting by Christine and Michael.

We stayed at Carmoor Guesthouse as the base for our week of golf on the Moray coast and in the Spey Valley. This ideal establishment is run by Michael and Christine who have proved to be the most friendly, welcoming and accommodating of hosts. Our ensuite rooms are spotlessly clean and ideal for freshening up and/or resting after a days golf. The excellent choice of breakfast menu with cereals, hot cooked food and endless tea/coffee and toast sets us up for the day and Michael's variety of three course evening meals served by Christine are enough to satisfy any appetite. All this at a price that represents excellent value for money means Carmoor Guesthouse is the ideal base for anyone wanting to spend their leisure time in the Highlands, be it for sport/leisure activities or general rest, relaxation and sightseeing.

We stayed for two nights in February 2017 whilst visiting the Highlands. The location of the hotel was perfectly placed to explore the Cairngorms and on to Inverness.
The property is spotlessly clean, and the room was very comfortable. The hosts were on hand to cater for your every need. Breakfast was fantastic on both mornings, and there is an option to have an evening meal, which we did on one occasion. This was also excellent.
We would strongly recommend this guest house, and very much hope to stay here again in the future.

This is without a doubt the best B&B we have ever stayed at. From the moment you walk in to the time you leave the service, food, room are all way above standard. I could not recommend this place highly enough. I would fly from Australia just to stay there. Thank you Christine and Michael. Outstanding!!!

Christine and Micheal were fantastic from arrival to departure. I arrived late at night after a 8 hour drive and was immediately offered a hot drink and a sandwich, I was then shown up to an extremely well looked after on suit room. The level of service that I received was more than I had hoped for. Micheal cooks some fantastic food which is in my opinion a few notches above the price and Christine is on hand from the moment you get up until late in the evening. The building its self is very aesthetically pleasing and there has clearly been a lot of thought and work gone into interior and fixtures and fitting. Over all I thought that Carrmoor guesthouse was extremely good value for money and I will most definitely be staying there on my next trip up to the Cairngorms Even if its just to ring the beer bell :)

Another wonderful holiday spent at Carrmoor Guest House. A warm welcome always awaits at this friendly family run establishment no matter what nationality you are. Bedrooms are tastefully decorated, very comfortable and spotlessly clean. There is a wide choice of food on offer both for Breakfast and Dinner and nothing is too much bother for Christine and Michael to help choose something which suits your requirements. It is very well presented and helpings are more than adequate.
WIFI facility is available which allows new and the many returning guests keep in contact with family and friends whether it be at home or abroad.
Once again many thanks to our hosts for making our holiday so memorable
Roll on 2015 for a return visit.. ( S & I Glasgow)

Have recently returned from another very enjoyable week's holiday at Carrmoor Guest House. This was our sixteenth visit and we treat it as our second home. Christine and Michael always make you very welcome and they are the perfect hosts. Nothing is too much trouble for them. The bedrooms are very comfortable and well equipped. The food is of a high standard with great variety and very well presented. A very well run family establishment and my wife and I would have no hesitation in recommending a visit if you are planning to be in the area.
In closing, needless to say, we have already booked a return visit for next year.

I cannot say more about the kindness shown to myself and my husband by Christine and Michael and the Carmoor. We spent a lovely evening there - the house is beautiful and the rooms are so comfortable. We also had an amazing evening meal cooked for us by Michael who is an outstanding chef! Breakfast in the morning was similarly gorgeous and the hosts couldn't do enough to make us feel welcome to the area.
We had planned to stay for a long weekend but unfortunately on the Saturday morning I was taken ill and we had to suddenly return home. They were so kind and concerned, and made a difficult situation much more bearable. I hadn't even realised in my anxiety to get home that I'd left a top and an earring in the room, but Christine quickly contacted me with a lovely email and posted them to me which was really kind of her. They also refunded us for the night we were unable to stay which was a very honest and kind gesture.
I would definitely recommend this guest house as a true home-from-home.
