This was the 23rd time we have stayed here, every year since 1998! As always everything was to a high standard, a comfortable stay and a warm welcome from Carole and family. The cottage is situated in some really lovely countryside, good for walks. There are also so many places of interest in the area that we are never short of things to do and places to see. All booked for another stay in 2021!

We've just returned from a perfect stay at The Old Stables, West Marden Farms, feeling very happy and rested. Carole and Gaynor responded promptly to any pre-stay queries and checked in with us after arrival, proividing very helpful local knowledge on walks. West Marden is perfectly situated for some beautiful walks without the need for driving. We could have spent the whole week here without using the car, although many other places in the South Downs were within any reach, so we did venture out. The Old Stables was the perfect place to rest our legs on return, sitting in the sunny, secluded courtyard with tea (or beer) and a slice of Gaynor's delicious cake. We were lucky with the weather this week, but had it been less favourable we are sure we'd still have enjoyed our stay; The Old Stables was so comfortably furnished, with high quality furniture, fittings and linens we wouldn't have been disappointed if it had rained! We hope to return soon.

Just returned home after a long weekend at Barley Cottage, wish we could have stayed there longer! Carole was a warm, welcoming host, who made sure we had everything we needed for our stay. The cottage is soo comfortable and very well equipped, I’d struggle to find any way to improve it! The little touches were really lovely; fresh flowers, a bottle of wine and a sponge cake, which was incredible, one of the nicest I’ve ever had! Also before our arrival on a cold and wet February afternoon, Carole had very kindly put the heating on, which was much appreciated! I will be recommending Barley Cottage to my friends and family and will hopefully return myself one day!

We have just returned from a superb week at the Old Stables.Carole, Gaynor and Martin were superb hosts and the accommodation is superb. We enjoyed long walks across the farm with access being directly from the cottage. We also found the location excellent for visiting the coast, Chichester, Southsea and many other coastal towns between the Witterings and Brighton. The cottage is superbly equipped and we highly recommend the property, as we will return. Thank you Carole, Gaynor and Martin for an absolutely superb week. Kay & Harko

Once again the stay at West Marden Farm was superb and the attention to detail in the cottage was exceptional. This is the third time we have been back to stay and Carole Martin and Gaynor make you feel at home and nothing is too much trouble for them. Will be be back again next year and cannot praise the quality location and attention to detail enough.
