This is a scam, DO NOT BOOK. This hotel does not exist in Sperlonga. The listing is set up to look like it is located in Sperlonga, but it is not. The owner of the property did not acknowledge that the site shows an incorrect location and refused to give a refund.

Response from paola beltrano, Proprietario at Farmhouse Villa Prato
Responded 6 Aug 2023

We stayed for four nights at Villa Prato, in the blue room. We simply adored it. The town itself is great -- easily walkable, picturesque, excellent beaches (protip: get fresh mozzarella at Luigi's on the main road, goes great with the breeze off the water!). The B&B is even better. It's very secluded-feeling, with a lovely garden/yard for guests to lounge in, but a quick stroll to the beach or into town. The room was very comfortable and impeccably clean. The hosts, Paola and Alberto, make the experience a true delight. They're extremely conscientious and generous towards their guests -- they even picked us up and dropped us off at the train station. Breakfast at Villa Prato comes with preserves made by Paola from fruit grown on their farm. We had dinner at the inn two nights of our stay -- we had planned only one but the food was SO good that we changed our plans for our last night!! Paola's cooking is really a highlight, our fellow guest described the experience as if your Italian grandmother was cooking for you and it's exactly true, really delicious and authentic food that's impossible to find in a restaurant. Truly a great stay, can't wait to come back!

Paola and Alberto were as always pleasant handsome imaginative hospitable and generous. We liked our "Blue"room and enjoyed the night breeze thanks to the subtle and well engineered mosquito shield ! Food healthy and delicious. And the highly subsidized La Nave beach ! was equally a nice treat ( imagine we pay18 euro a day where as the cost of double tenda in this very crowded children safe beach is 38 Euro a day! We have been frequenting both Villa Prato and La Nave for over the past 15 years . We will come back. Gerd Noah and Ahmed

We had such a wonderful stay at beautiful Villa Prato. The view out of our bedroom window was very pretty, over their well maintained garden and to the green hills behind. Paola and her husband were very accommodating to my families needs (we have a 5 year old and a 2 year old). They were happy to serve the children dinner early so that we could put them to bed and enjoy the delicious Italian meals they made in peace. Great location, not far from the town or beach. Fabulous!

We spent a fantastic week at Villa Prato. Here are some reasons to go there: * Sperlonga is a charming, small seaside town with fantastic beaches and good restaurants. Villa Prato is located just 10 mins stroll from the nearest beach and an easy walk into town, but is still very quiet and peaceful. Only noise at night are the frogs! (There are no TVs in rooms so no noise from other guests either.) *The rooms are a good size, and very comfortable and immaculate. Paola and Alberto are lovely, friendly hosts who go out of their way to put you at ease and give good local information. * The food is great. * Ample parking, easy to find, only about an hour an a half from Rome airport. * The garden is beautiful. * There are only five rooms, and guests all eat together at a long table in the dining room which has a fantastic picture window onto the garden. We had interesting and entertaining conversations with other guests in spite of our lousy Italian. (And Paola speaks English too.) * Excellent value for money. * There are fireflies (seasonal)!

We had a fabulous stay at this Agriturismo, rooms are very clean with views of the garden and mountain side. Breakfasts and dinners were a treat as our hosts provided various home cooked and baked Italian dishes. Short walk to a very nice beach and super market. Paula also had lots of good advice for restaurants and tourist attractions in the area. Would highly recommend staying here as the agriturismo and hosts are both wonderful.

Everything was really good! The garden is beautiful, the location is quite close to the beach. You can visit a few historical ruins from the Roman times. The food in the evening was good too. I suggest you to eat at Grotta dei Delfini at lunch, if you are on the other side of sperlonga.

My friend and I have just spent a wonderful 6 days at Villa Prato. From start to finish, it more than lived up to our expectations. Our bedroom was a decent size, clean and comfortable and, since we were two friends travelling together rather than a couple, Paola kindly made up a second bed in our room so we did not have to share. The evening meals were excellent - fresh, delicious, home-made, often vegetarian, imaginative and with enormous portions. We soon learned to have a light lunch to save room for Paola and Alberto's wonderful dinners! The breakfasts (which are often disappointing in Italy) were a real highlight - delicious coffee with hot milk, yoghurt, fresh fruit, bread and home made jam and cake. And the setting is perfect: the villa is surrounded by beautiful gardens in the shadow of a mountain and the (blue flag) beach is a ten minute walk away. Sperlonga is cheap and easy to get to from Rome by train and bus and Paola kindly picked us up and dropped us off at the bus stop. Last time I was in Sperlonga I stayed in a more expensive hotel, but next time I go I will try to get a room at Villa Prato. It was really nice that all the guests ate dinner together as it gave us the chance to meet some lovely and very interesting people. All the other guests were Italian during our stay and one couple had been coming for 11 years. They said they often meet other regulars from around the world, which tells you all you need to know. So if you manage to get a room here, you are lucky!

We stayed at Villa Prato for a week to enjoy the beaches of Sperlonga and explore the area. It is a beautiful property not too far from the beach (about a 10 min walk) in a country setting about 1 km from the town. From the dining room you have a lovely view of the extensive garden where one can find areas to sit and relax. Paola and Alberto (the owners) are excellent cooks and prepared great meals with fresh ingredients. They were also very hospitable and informative. The room we had was rather small and so was the bathroom, but there were other slightly larger ones which had been already booked. However we had a nice view of the countryside and mountain from our window. We really enjoyed our stay there and highly recommend Villa Prato if you are looking for a place in that area away from the summer crowds. Villa Prato definitely met our expectations and we will definitely return!

I cannot praise Paola & Alberto enough for their wonderful agriturismo! We visited from 16th-20th June 2013 and wished we could stay longer. Paola met us from the bus in Sperlonga, greeted us warmly and brought us to Villa Prato which was instantly impressive. Out room was perfectly clean and very tastefully decorated. The fresh coffee Paola made with breakfast has totally spoiled me and coffee in the UK will never taste as good! The meals we were given every evening were stunningly tasty - the ingredients tasted so fresh and the wine which always accompanied our meals was beautiful! Meals were made even more enjoyable by eating with the other guests - we were lucky to have a lovely Irish family staying at the same time who were very good company. The house was an easy 10-15min walk from the beach where we spent a lot of time. It is a beautiful beach and loungers are reasonably priced. The town centre is a pleasant 20-30min walk away. You could not wish for a better location. Thank you Paola and Alberto for making our trip to Italy even more magical! Cameron & Fiona Scotland, UK
