I never thought I would be one of those people who went back to the same place - if you look at the variety of places my wife and I go, you can see that we don't have many repeats! However, after our first recommendation to this place 4 years ago, we came back again last year - we would have been back the year before that but I had to have surgery and needed to cancel. Anyway, getting back to the point of this review, it is difficult to fault them: the rooms are lovely, all with balconys, and the views of the mountains from the terrace are superb - I describe it as being like the "4k" TVs you see in department stores! The prices seem quite high, but bear in mind that this includes breakfast (almost unlimited range and they encourage you to take food for lunch), a buffet lunch, a 5-course evening meal (with free substitutions from the a la carte menu), 6 walks/excursions a week, free mountain bikes and all sorts of kit like poles and backpacks.... and then there's the spa. If you think you have been to a great spa, I'd be surprised if it matched this one: 2 different types of steam room, 4 9or maybe 5) different saunas, a cold pool, a hot infinity salt pool, a hot infinity pool with jets.... The "infinity" bit means views out to the amazing mountains and over the valley. Every day they have 2 special sauna/aufgus experiences, which are rates as 1, 2 or 3. I should add that this is the "textile off" area, but you quickly get used to that. There is a "textile on" area, which is smaller, as well as a huge indoor/outdoor pool and a large infinity pool. And aside from all this, the staff and service and unequaled, they can't do enough for you. Whether it is food requirements, wine tasting, advice for walks, crushed ice for my wife's swollen knee, or whatever.…
The Alpen Tesitin is situated on a hill the faces a beautiful view of the mountains. After traveling for a very long time to get there from New York, we entered the hotel and were graciously greeted by the staff. Our room faced the mountains and was large and meticulous. The bed was very comfortable. The dining area at the Tesitin is roomy and beautiful. Our waiter, Max was so knowledgeable and friendly. His wine suggestions were spot on. There was always a vast selection of fresh salads, breads, cheeses, meats, and other wonderful foods at the buffet. The owner of the hotel greeted us daily and asked if everything was alright. This is such a personal touch that meant so much to my wife and I. The morning breakfast is very well varied and one can always get a freshly made omelette of any choice of ingredients. The lunch buffet was also plentiful with a large selection of cakes. Dinner is very special at the Tesitin. We loved every dish, everyday. We never ate outside the hotel. The spa is spotless and large. Every conceivable pool and room is at the spa. We had 2 massages in our stay and they were excellent. The hotel offers a complete week of activities for their guests. It's like a week of adult camp if one chooses to indulge. We spent most of the week hiking the various trails that are in close proximity to the hotel. Walking sticks, backpacks, and snowshoes were always available, free of charge. The concierge was always so helpful in suggesting walking paths for us. In a world that is filled with stress, the Hotel Alpen Tesitin gave us a week of peaceful coexistence and harmony with the natural surroundings. We have found a place that made us so sad to leave, but so happy to return to.…
I spent 3 days with my family in this marvelous hotel on a short vacation. we have been given a truly fabulous suite. Equipped with every possible thing to make our stay enjoyable. A breathtaking view on the tops of the Dolomites. The personal of an infinite cordiality and kindness. The wellness area with swimming pools and saunas of all kinds with well-balanced atmosphere of aromas and sounds of pure relaxation. Excellent quality of food and very wide choice. We would have stayed there forever!
Amazing hotel with a great view to the Dolomites from the terrace. Spacious, clean and cozy bedrooms. The staff is friendly and always smiling. The guy responsible for our table at night was Max, if you need advise about local wines, look for him, he knows a lot!
Run by a lovely family, with great service, daily walks and superb facilities. The one thing I would say - especially to Brits even shier than us - is that 75% of the spa facilities are only available if you aren't wearing a swimming costume. All shapes and sizes of bodies so didn't bother me but worth bearing in mind. Fantastic views both from the rooms and on the amazing terrace.
