Friendly down to earth helpful staff, clean and tidy place, not posh, good simple food and drink, nothing extravagant. Useful location for myself, I would visit again without hesitation. Thank you very much.

An enjoyable meal as always. Helpful and friendly barmaid/waitress. For starter I had garlic bread (a whole baguette with a small side salad) it was very nice and the right mix of cooked but not crusty. For main I had Steak & Guinness pie and chips, it was served as I'd requested (no veg, extra gravy). I love this pie,...

Attended for a family function which was ok, if a little basic on the catering side. We had planned to stay over but talking to some that had booked to stay the night before made us decide to travel down the road. Basic ?damp rooms, missing basic stuff in the rooms, dubious showers. We moved on.

I'm not a fussy eater.. when food isn't great I don't moan either. I ordered the chicken deluxe sandwich and my fella ordered a pasta dish but asked for no pepper in it as it makes him sick. The pasta came with (very minimal) but pepper in it.. he was starving so ate it anyway. The sandwich came.. soggy bun.....

We stayed here for one night - we didn't arrive until 9pm. Checked in at reception - staff were obviously just waiting for us as the pub then closed. Room was large and clean and very comfortable. Got a great night's sleep. Only us and two other people checked in that night. Breakfast was from 7am to 9am. We arrived...

It might be cheap, but the whole place is understaffed, the rooms are filthy, the shower in my room leaked all over the bathroom which, coincidentally, needed completely ripping out and replacing sometime around 1986, the food is awful, the service is dire, and to top it all off, they didn't have any record of my reservation, despite booking through...

My Wife & I plus another couple decided to call for lunch at Arties Mill on the way to Scunthorpe from Grimsby. This was a Thursday so there was no problem in getting a table. We ordered drinks & set about deciding our main meal. There was a special board with offers of the day but after discussing with Steve...

The fact that (at the time of writing) this establishment has collected more "Terrible" reviews than any other category should tell you all you need to know. I've only ever had breakfast here when attending network meetings. In the end I stopped attending the meetings because the place is so depressing and the staff are about as friendly as the...
