Travellers' Choice
Glencoe House offers 5-star luxury suite accommodation in the heart of the Scottish Highlands. The hotel comprises fourteen generous private suites (from 75-148 sq. metres) and contains two distinctive concepts. Firstly, The Glencoe House Suites that are located in the mansion house and have a wealth of period features together with sea or mountain views. Secondly, The Bell Tower Suites which are located 50m from the mansion and are more modern in look and feel and garden views; all have private walled gardens with hot tubs. Regardless of your choice, Glencoe House offers elegant but relaxed and sumptuous suites, with the space and privacy to really kick your shoes off and unwind.

We booked this hotel directly with the house. We stayed in both suite 7 and suite 4 between 4 nights. Both suites are decorated beautifully and you get a lot more floor space than any 5 stars hotel nearby. The suites are really spacious and the bed are really comfortable. Situated in the best locations within the Scottish Highlands, it was just a little over an hour drive to Loch Ness, Glenfinnan Viaduct. Nearby about 20 mins away, is the Glencoe Mountain Resort, we went sledging one day and the kids absolutely love it. The staffs are amazing, especially head chef Sebastian, who came every night and take our orders. There is no fixed menu and we had 2 amazing seafood platter for 2 nights. Our kids loves the mussels and hand cooked chips, literally cleared all 3 kg between them. The in room minibars items are all extremely reasonable priced. Last but not least is the amazing view you get from each room. Suite 4 has one side facing Loch Leven and the other side facing the peak of Glencoe. We love this hotel and will definitely come again.

Dear AlicecR5360BZ, How wonderful to read that you and your family enjoyed your 4 nights at Glencoe House. I am pleased that you found us to be well located and you were able to explore the West Highlands and create some special memories (including finding the Loch Ness Monster!). Chef enjoys speaking with our guests and preparing the dishes tailored to your needs. It was fantastic to see the boys enjoy their local Mussels and Hand Cut Chips on your last evening. I was pleased to hear that you are hoping to come back later in the year, and I look forward to welcoming you back. Kind regards, Graham Steven On Behalf of the team at Glencoe House

We have just returned from a wonderful three night break celebrating my wife's birthday in this beautiful, unique hotel. From the moment we arrived and welcomed on the forecourt we were treated regally. A chilled, complimentary bottle of Champagne was warmly appreciated. Our suite (6) was very cosy and spacious. Huge bathroom with walk in shower, his and her sinks and a lovely roll top, free standing bath. The lounge had comfortable seating, a well equipped bar and a dining table which looked onto the Pap of Glencoe. The surrounding area and walks around The Lochan are breathtaking during Autumn and show mother nature at her finest. Breakfast and dinner was taken each day in our room and was always served timeously but never hurried. Finally we must give thanks to all the members of staff whom we engaged with and made our stay special. General manager Graham, Bertie, Angela, Robbie and John-Michael you are all a credit to the Hotel and your profession.

We booked two nights at Glencoe House as a little mini honeymoon. Glencoe is utterly beautiful, even in the rain (of which there was plenty!). The staff at Glencoe House were friendly, professional & full of local information. Our suite (suite 8) was on the ground floor and had a lovely private hot tub facing into the garden, beautiful, and a private terrace area. The suite had a roll top bath in the bedroom, a Japanese style bath in the bathroom and a large shower. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. We ate in the hotel both nights, the steak was to die for.....best steak I've eaten. I highly recommend dinner at Glencoe House (and hats off to the chef!). The only negatives were the bread in the morning, sorry to say but it was very uninspired and boring bread for a 5 star hotel and had asked for rolls each morning and couldn't get any either. Also as it is suites, you have breakfast and dinner in your own suite. I'm not sure if there was any communal space in Glencoe House but I think we missed a bar or some communal space. Also, we were really disappointed that we couldn't use the fire....such a shame to have a beautiful fireplace there which couldn't be used (due to Cameron House fire) - understandable but still. The walks nearby are stunning and obviously Glencoe itself. There is lots to do in the local area. I would highly recommend Glencoe House for a little luxurious get away. It's an unusual style of accommodation which is relaxing, luxurious and indulgent.

Dear Miss_Kitten, I am absolutely delighted to read that you enjoyed your stay in suite 8 with it's private terrace and hot tub, as well as our private in suite dining. I am sure that Chef will be as equally delighted regarding your comments on dinner. Of course, I am disappointed that you had issues with your bakery items at breakfast, and I shall investigate these with the team. The main house consists of 8 large private suites where guests can enjoy dinner and breakfast served course by course in the comfort of their suite, and the convenience of our Maxi bar which operates on an honesty basis which is provided at the equivalent of retail pricing rather than the usual hotel pricing. This does make us different to other hotels and we make it clear on all of our literature that we do not provide a public bar or restaurant. Our guests tend to enjoy the privacy and unique service that this provides during their stay. The decommissioning of the open fires was a proactive decision that was made following an independent fire risk assessment. I am sorry if you missed the aesthetic glow of an open fire. The health and safety of our guests and team, will remain my number one priority. The risk associated with an unattended open fire in a building with multiple occupants was flagged as an area of concern. If you or any reader wish to find out more about why this decision was made, please do not hesitate to contact me on gsteven@glencoe-house.com I thank you for recommending a stay at Glencoe House, and hope that we can welcome you back soon. Kind regards, Graham Steven General Manager

I will run out of characters trying to review this amazing property because it's just that gorgeous. From the minute our host James greeted us at the door, we were transported back in time. Our two bedroom suite held two and a half updated baths, a drawing room with a fireplace and a dining room, where we were served amazing meals of our choosing. There was a rollback tub in the master bedroom, with a view of the mountains that cannot be matched. The "mini-bar" held reasonably priced snacks, drinks, and rare whiskeys. We felt privileged to have had the opportunity to stay here and cannot recommend it enough. Glencoe House is a must visit.
