Thank you for taking the time to write such a wonderful review for us, it really is appreciated. It's great to hear you enjoyed staying in our garden level suite, the extra space, extra privacy and separate private lounge go down well with all our guests. It would be lovely to welcome you once again into our home if you ever head to this wonderful part of the Highlands in the future to explore once more.

We loved our stay with Anne & Dan. Pure delight. Clean, modern, great food, very helpful hosts in terms of finding fun things to do in the area. Walking distance from town. Located on a pretty stream. Minutes away from great hiking.

We stayed at Strath Lodge for 2 nights after we had climbed Ben Nevis. We had climbed overnight and naively didn’t anticipate how tired we would be so rang at 8.30am for an early check in which Ann and Dan immediately accommodated, ensuring the room was ready for us to check in

The dramatic scenery and remote nature of the Highlands is one of key reasons that travellers want to come here, and escape the hectic lifestyles many may lead. With this remoteness, then public transport options reduce. We always recommend that guests staying in the area hire a car, as this will give them the greatest flexibility to explore the area to the full, and get the most out of their holiday time. Public transport does exist, but it operates between the large cities and serves the villages on route. However, many of the most scenic places, some of the best hikes, or best places to go may not be served by public transport at all, so if you did not have your own transport, you may be limited to just visiting the cities and towns - and this may not give you the Highland experience in full. There are limited taxi services in the Highlands, so they do get booked up quickly and therefore you cannot always guarantee one would be available.
