We stayed three nights at Brenton Lodge. It's in a great position for getting out and about and both Sallie and Dave had some good recommendations. The welcome and service was excellent throughout and a great selection of freshly cooked breakfasts. Lovely to be able to choose something different for breakfast, and if the granola, yoghurt and fruit is on...

Where to begin. This was our last stop on our New Zealand journey. And without knowing it, we'd saved the best to last! We were welcomed very warmly by David and Sallie, and within seconds felt at home. Throughout, they were wonderful hosts, and by the time we left, we thought of them as friends. Nothing was too much trouble....

I can't speak highly enough of Sallie and David's hospitality and of course the lovely Jackson! The Lodge is stunning and there's everything that you could ever need and more. Gorgeous place where we felt thoroughly spoilt. You won't be disappointed if you stay here.

Sallie and David have cultivated the quintessential B&B with gorgeous views of the Pacific Ocean over the seaside town of Whangamata. The rooms are lovely, spotlessly clean and well equipped. The coffee/tea/cookies and chocolates were a welcome and special touch after a long day of traveling. The gardens are gorgeous, full of flowers and birds, the pool inviting. Breakfast was...

We arrived to Brenton Lodge late afternoon and were warmly greeted by the hosts (and their dog) the place is beautifully placed with a great view of the Pacific and the town of Whangamata. Wonderful room. Nice touches included fresh milk in the fridge. The hosts ate wonderfully welcoming and helpful. A great breakfast on the morning completed a perfect...

The friendly welcome, glorious views and well appointed, spacious, mini-suite style accommodation made this B&B a peaceful retreat after a stimulating coastline drive. The bed is large & comfortable, the shower refreshing and the garden enchanting; albeit we used neither the pool nor the perimeter walk due to the first class hospitality of the hosts, in the garden room bar....

We stayed for 2 nights at Brenton and felt well looked after. Our room was of a good size, with a perfect view of the town, coast and islands from the verandah. We enjoyed a peaceful few hours in the garden, before a great meal cooked by Sallie. Sallie and David were great hosts and their lodge is perfectly placed...

We stayed here for 2 nights. Beautiful suite of rooms up a flight of stairs. Views across to the sea from our verandah. Very comfortable bed and lovely shower room. Loved our little sitting room/dining area - so much space. Drinks on the verandah were perfect. Breakfasts, one inside a lovely dining room and one outside on the terrace, were...

We had three wonderful nights stay at Brendon Lodge just before New Year. It was easy to find driving from Auckland using our GPS (which we always bring on our holidays). We were warmly greeted on arrival and delighted with our accommodation. It was very private and had fabulous views of the beautiful garden and pool and the ocean down...
