Busy on arrival but got seated fairly quick, only a short queue to the marvellous selection of meats/alternatives to go with carvery veg. Me & my partner were so full but managed a dessert too, one of my five a day haha... definitely worth a visit, I am certainly returning to sample everything on the menu.

We have just had the most amazing Sunday Carvery. Lots of choices, the deserts looked really scrummy, so difficult to choose. Great atmosphere, really busy so book if you can. Didn't have to wait too long to be served at the servery. Staff really friendly. Will defo go again.

We dropped in for lunch when passing and found an excellent carvery meal at a very reasonable price. Very tasty meat and well cooked vegetables. Good range of beer and cider as well as other beverages. All topped off by great friendly helpful service. A delightful experience!

We have been going to the Anchor Inn for many years now, the family always like to have a nice get-together here. There is no doubt why. Yes, it's busy. But it's flipping lovely. There is a large choice of carvery and non carvery, with help yourself to the vegetables, all served by a lovely, friendly chap. The puddings are...

There is always a huge number of choices of mains and desserts with lots of vegetables and of course, Yorkshire Puddings. There is a dessert cabinet with 8 or 9 cold gateaux and also 4 or 5 hot puddings e.g. sticky toffee, yum! The quality is always good, the only down side is the large dining room sometimes gets so...

This isn't the first time we have been here and rarely is it disappointing. My son wanted to go with our family for his birthday meal. We agreed as we know he is getting a good plateful and he will eat the lot. There were 13 of us (9 adults and 4 kids) it is great value on a weekday...

After deciding to meet family for lunch, I thought it would be a good idea to read some reviews. As always I started with the 1 stars! All taken with a pinch of salt obviously! Well I am happy to say they were not very accurate or helpful! The moment we walked through the door we were welcomed with a...

It's kinda of far away so I kind of understand why food was as expensive as it was, lots and lots of older people were there and that's all of their clientele really, food was nice, carvery was missing stuffing which was a shame but the pudding was nice it was a chocolate tarte the ice cream was awful though....
