Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

We really enjoyed our stay and it was so worth upgrading the room. The view was stunning. We dined at blossom restaurant and the food was really nice and well presented. Myself and my wife will definitely return to this hotel as there is so much to do there. The only element that was disappointing was the pool area was tired. The size is good and we enjoyed our swim session.

Just home from a two night stay at this complex. Staff all very good, service a little slow on our second evening but nothing too annoying. What was annoying was the evening menu, there were 9 choices on offer, unfortunately as a vegetarian I did not have the luxury of much choice. Of the 9 dishes on offer 1 was vegan, 1 vegetarian (I had to ask if the Risotto was vegetarian as it was not marked on the menu as such) and 1 fish dish. I wouldn't expect the whole menu to cater to the vegan/vegetarian demographic but maybe a choice of 3 preferably 4 would be nice. This would still leave 3-4 meat choices for the meat eaters as they could eat a vegetarian dish, giving them more options. Also the value for money was not good, we stayed there on a deal, without the deal we wouldn't have eaten there.

Had a delightful afternoon visit at Blossoms Restaurant and the newly refurbished Rutland Hall Hotel in Barnsdale, Rutland. Enjoyed drinks with a friend in the inviting Piano bar. The staff was incredibly friendly, and we even had a chance to meet the manager, Kate, who was equally warm and welcoming. Highly recommend this place! Ample free parking is available, and they're even dog-friendly, which allowed us to enjoy a pleasant walk down to Rutland Water with my furry companion, Flo.

Accomadation , location , staff friendliness all excellent . Breakfast very good but evening meals offerings were somewhat expensive re size and overall quality and menu could have been wider . Value for money in respect of booking with Secret Escapes.

Lovely place, lovely scenery, lovely clean and well serviced room, great evening food. However, they could do with more help in the kitchen at breakfast, as there only appeared to be one guy cooking and replenishing the buffet, and he couldn't keep up with the demand from the customers!

Lovely room with wonderful views. The evening meal was very tasty and well presented, I would've liked to have seen a choice of fresh vegetables and maybe a choice of potatoes. Breakfast was plentiful. The staff were helpful, but service at the evening meal was a little inconsistent , but I still enjoyed my experience.

It is our second stay at Rutland Hall and we love the place. The setting is amazing with views of Rutland Water and the service from all staff is brilliant. The rooms are very nice, modern and decorated well, and the food is excellent. What more can you ask for when staying away for a night or two.

what a lovely place to stay for a short break our room was small but had all the facilities and a beautiful lake view the only down side is you have to walk outside to get to the resturant for meals that could be a pain if the weather is wet well worth a visit

Very clean and lovely room overlooking lake. Easy check in and helpful staff. Excellent breakfast. We both felt the evening menu was underwhelming, choices were reasonable but quite simplistic. Very good area for walks, car parking near accommodation could be an issue.

stayed for 2 nights. The room was nice, warm, clean , good coffee and tea making facilities. trying to use the swimming pool was too much of a faff with limited availability and a booking system. Had a meal both nights , not good value for the money and would not eat here again. We were charged twice for extras and this was frustrating to clear up . took the shine off our stay
