Set right on the edge of the Kochel See with mountains rising up behind the hotel, the setting is idyllic! The hotel rooms are in a separate building right next to the restaurant and reception, but this did not bother us at all. There is no lift and our room was on the 3rd floor so be prepared to carry...

We had a great time here as we traveled to see Neuschwanstein Castle. The room has no air conditioning like the rest of Germany. Beautiful view and great breakfast. We also hiked in the area. This was a lovely hotel with pleasant staff. Showers are really small.

Positiv: This place has everything you need: a room, a restaurant and a small spa. So if you search for a quiet place to have some rest and peace - you should give it a try. Free parking is also available. The lake is fantastic! Question mark: Steam sauna was really cold, sadly.

We spent a night here in transit to Italy. The welcome was warm and friendly and the mountain view room adequate. Bathroom is small but quite adequate. Breakfast was very good quality and lot's of parking on the grounds. We did nit eat in the restaurant so unable to comment. We would like to return to explore this beautiful area.

Nice rooms (recently renovated) with terrace on the Kochel Lake, a small Spa is also available. We had a good dinner admiring the lake during a wonderful sunset! (the restaurant is in an other side of the building).

This hotel is located in a great spot for launching off to many hikes in the nearby region. You can get to Kochel with the train from Munich and the bus will then be needed to get to this hotel. The hotel is older, but with a fantastic history. Zeppelin was here! There is a boat on the lake that...

We had not realised that the restaurant and the hotel are in two separate buildings, so you do need an umbrella when it rains! The restaurant is great - nice atmosphere, fantastic service. We ate there all three nights and enjoyed all of it, particularly the local lake fish (fried or 'bleu' - delicious). Breakfast is in the restaurant and...
