Villa San Crispolto and Passignano Sul Trasimeno is absolutely beautiful. We first viewed the villa in November 2018 and fell in love with the villa and surrounding area immediately. We knew this was the prefect setting for us to get married and confirmed our booking for our wedding to take place August 2020 before we left Italy. The bride visited again in May 2019 with both the mother of the bride and groom. At both visits Marco and his team were so attentive and organised. This service was consistent throughout all our communication between November 2018 to our wedding. Unfortunately no-one could have foreseen what was about to occur with Covid 19 from early 2020. We remained positive we would be able to proceed with our wedding and Marco and the team were always available to discuss any issues. As our date drew closer and with RIW having to postpone all weddings prior to ours since March, they discussed all our options in detail through numerous video calls and we reserved some alternative dates as a contingency. RIW remained patient and professional throughout and tried to put our minds at ease and answer all my questions. We continued to plan our wedding but with everything happening in both the UK and Italy and rules continuously changing we had no certainty the wedding would go ahead literally until we were boarding the plane. We had to make amendments to the number of guests staying at the villa and attending the wedding but this was not an issue at all and was dealt with effortlessly. We booked out all the villas including the wedding suite for the whole week. Our only regret is we didn’t stay longer. The whole team made sure everything was just perfect not only for our wedding but the whole week. Everything was just amazing and nothing was too much trouble. The views are breath taking, our guests were blown away and have all said it was the best wedding they have ever attended and holiday. The whole area is beautiful and we would definitely recommend exploring if you can drag yourselves away from the pool. The accommodation is ideal to host a large group of people in one place which was what we wanted, but still giving everyone their own space where they could relax. Everything you could possibly need is in the villas. We also arranged for shopping to be delivered to everyone’s villas for when they arrived. Due to Covid 19 some guests didn’t feel comfortable leaving the villa to head into town for meals but it wasn’t an issue as Marco arranged for guests to order food from his restaurant and had it delivered. For those that wanted to visit his restaurant, he also arranged free transport for them. They also arranged for fresh bread/pastries to be delivered each morning. This was a massive hit with our guests. Those guests who did leave the villa agreed they felt safe during the current situation. The staff were also on hand to offer help/suggestions too as to places to go. These were our main suppliers we used and I cannot recommend them enough. They all did a great job. Communication before with each of them was seamless. Marco also ensured we had a final catch up with each of them when in Italy a couple of days before the big day. Make Up Artist Monia Photographer Fabio Videographer Massimiliano Galardi Florist Cristina DJ Fabien Caterer - Claudio We also had children’s entertainers, bouncy castle and traditional Tuscan string musicians. Special thanks to Juna who was always available and so helpful and friendly, Bruno for keeping the place beautiful and Marco for helping co-ordinate such a perfect day that we will remember forever. We cannot wait to re-visit when we are allowed. If you are considering having your wedding in Italy and using RIW you will not be disappointed and we highly recommend it. We managed to get married during a pandemic and they still ensured everything was perfect. We really hope they are able to continue to host weddings during 2021 due to Covid19 because they really do make sure you have the most magical time. Nothing is too much trouble. We really cannot thank them enough and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend to others.

We started planning and settled on here to get married and elope in october 2019, we choose march 2020, we had a bambino due in June and had to bring our wedding plans forward. Marco , christina and the whole team where perfect. they took care of everything, they were in constant contact concerning the growning problems with the coronavirus just starting to take hold. we were lucky to get out there at all and while everything went into shut down and isolation around us, everyone made sure nothing was missed and everything was exactly as it should be and more. BA cancelled our flights effectively stranding us there hours before our wedding, but that didnt spoil a thing, the venue the location the views and the whole day was simply perfect. the Gods truely smilled on us that day and a solitary day in March shone like a tuscan summer day. It was truely the best day of our lives, thank you. Marco's own olive oil and prosecco is the best you will ever tatse. and a special mention to Bruno, the grounds are a credit. This is a site of exceptional beauty and historical signifance We hope so much you get through this dificult and awfull time. your thoughts and much love. Mr & Mrs T xxx

Marco and his staff treated us like royalty. We were pleased beyond measure with the villa and the accommodations. Our wedding was spectacular. We could easily redo this experience annually--renewing our wedding vows. We traveled from New York City to Italy. We could not imagine getting married in a better place. Marco's team was organized and highly professional. Top quality!

Review RIW 1. Why would you recommend Italy to your best friend and especially our villa as the perfect location for an incredibly romantic wedding? We stayed at Villa San Crispolto with 28 guests in September 2019 (14th - 21st). We had a further 12 guests staying closeby, some of which stayed at accommodation recommended by RIW. We had a total of 40 guests on our big day; the perfect size wedding for us. Perugia is a beautiful rural location in central Italy, with rich history, beautiful architecture and amazing food & wine! Not to mention the stunning lake and it’s islands... There is so much to do and see for couples and families. You can indulge in a wine tour, go on a ferry across the lake to visit the islands and even hire a private speed boat!  We also organised a day trip to Florence for the monther of the Grooms birthday. You are so close to the train station from the villa with easy journeys to both Florence and Rome... Villa San Crispolto is located on top of a hill set slightly away from the main town but perfect distance from the lake and restaurants. The views from the villa overlooking the lake are breathtaking with iconic Italian cypress trees standing tall and staggered across the landscape along with olive trees and other beautiful native flora & fauna...  The villa itself exceeded all our expectations. We went to visit with both our parents a year before the wedding (September 2018) and we knew straight away this is where we wanted to get married! This is where we wanted to spend a week with our closest friends and family. The accommodation was beautiful, everywhere was immaculate and very clean. The beds were comfortable, the kitchens were well equipped, the architecture and finish were stunning and unforgettable. It was everything we wanted and more. When our guests arrived they were speechless and very excited! They were shown to their rooms, unpacked and went straight to the pool. We ordered 20 pizzas from Ciao Ciao (Marco’s restaurant) and all celebrated and toasted to our first afternoon/ night at the villa!  The swimming pool and surrounding gardens were very well kept by Bruno and his team. Every morning they would make sure it looked as beautiful as the day we arrived.  Our wedding suite was something out of a fairytale and we had to pinch ourselves each morning when we woke up! It felt like a dream... the jacuzzi bath and marble shell sinks were stunning features - pure luxury. We had 2 floors all to ourselves with a lovely living room and kitchen. The building and interior truly is stunning, you would not be disappointed. We got married in the Garden Temple at the villa which was perfect for us. We liked how convenient it was to get married on site, and simply walk through the gardens down to the marquee after the ceremony. We love nature and that was very much a theme of our wedding, being outside with the sun on our skin, no wind, no clouds... it was the perfect day.  I couldn’t think of a more romantic location.  2. Why is RIW special? Romantic Italian Weddings is unlike no other wedding coordinators I have encountered. Our villa manager Juna was a delight! She greeted us on site and went through everything we needed to know, she was also on hand to answer any of our questions throughout our stay and was so helpful on our wedding day.  There were many additional things we could pre-book to make our week special. We decided to go for the tri-colour Fiat 500 (in the Italian colours) which was very handy for our stay. We were able to pop out to local supermarket and go into town for breakfast, lunch or dinner...  We booked a meal at Ciao Ciao for everyone at the villa on the second night (Sunday). There was even free transportation to and from the restaurant from the villa. The food and service was fantastic, with some of the best steak and pasta we’ve ever had!  Marco has built something truly amazing and is extremely helpful and accommodating. What made everything so special was not only the location and the villa but Marco and his team.  We had a humanist ceremony and Marco was our officiater, we didn’t actually realise this until we arrived! But we were so happy that he was... Marco had been speaking to us for over 2 years throughout the planning stages. It was personable, authentic and very nice to see someone who started this service so many years ago still marrying couples now.  I would also like to mention Alexandra, part of the RIW team who was incredibly helpful with all of our questions on the wedding portal! A 5* service again. I would like to say how fantastic Marco’s third party suggestions are for catering, flowers, music, hair/make up and photography! We had Renata as our Chef and the food was sensational, Cristina as our florist who’s arrangements were simply stunning... the string quartet during the ceremony and afterwards with the aperitifs played songs everyone new, keeping them in high spirits and beautifully played our song choices throughout the ceremony. The bride chose Monia for hair and make up - I really cannot thank her enough, she was so lovely and everyone looked fabulous. Finally, Domenico was our photographer... his style is natural and authentic and he really did capture some truely special moments at our wedding... some of the romantic photos of us looked like something out of a professional wedding magazine! We were very impressed with everything; the evening was brilliant with Alex as our DJ and Juna & Marco on hand to make the cutting of the cake unforgettable! Not to mention the special touch of our personalised RIW football shirts.  Thank you again for everything, we wanted to stay forever! Everything Marco and the team do at RIW is 5* - if you want a destination wedding, look no further.  We will be going back!  3. Share with us your experience about our "Wine Wedding Italy" offer. The wine offer was almost too good to be true! We had 10 bottles of wine per guest staying at the villa - that is a grand total of 280 bottles of wine!!!! The wine offer was fantastic and saw us through the whole week. I think we had 50/60 bottles left over which we are planning to ship back to the UK... We had a great combination of red, white and Prosecco. Guests that usually don’t drink wine have become wine lovers! I think that certainly says something about the quality.  We also had 60 bottles shipped to us from Italy to be UK when we booked wirh RIW (some of which we still have). Thank you again for this special touch.  Phil & Gina  (Mr & Mrs Newton)

I took the leap and chose to get married in Italy in a town I had never been at a venue I would not visit before hand and I wouldn't change a thing. Marco, the owner and planner was amazing. Accommodating, passionate about his work and just an all around great guy. We had the most amazing week of our lives. The views are stunning, the villa is gorgeous everything was perfect. We got super lucky with the weather but even on days that it was cloudy it was still beautiful.
