Stayed here for 4 nights with my best friend & 2 children. The site is tucked away but close enough to main roads to access all Cornwall has to offer.
The site is beautiful and very well maintained.
Our pitch was on the edge of the park/play area which was brilliant. The games room offered lots of information about the local area & wildlife. Free Wi-Fi across the site was also a benefit.
The pitch was surround on 3 sides by hedges/bushes which have excellent protection to our tent when storm Betty arrived (without it I don’t think the tent would have stayed up).
The toilets/shower block are very clean and the showers are lovely & warm. There is also a family room for those with younger children.
The site has quiet time at night so it was very peaceful.
The staff were very friendly & always smiling.
We wish we lived closer so we could visit more often.
A really lovely campsite that we would recommend to anyone.

My family and I stayed in a wheelchair friendly cottage. With a toddler it was easier to have the wet room and adjacent parking. The cottage was extremely clean and tidy. We found it comfortable and spacious (I don't think the photos do it justice). The space is uncluttered (which I find relaxing) and quite plainly decorated (however, the choice of paintings that are on display are good in my opinion. No eyesores!).
The site was attractive and well maintained. It felt secluded and had character. Our location on the site was very private. The next door cottage, the only potential neighbours, was unoccupied during our week but we wouldn't have felt overlooked if there were other people staying.
Unfortunately I cannot comment on the facilities on the site because we didn't get around to using them but I suspect they would also be kept to a high standard. The people running this park obviously care.
I very much recommend this holiday park and would visit again.

This is a lovely, quiet campsite, well located for visiting a variety of nice beaches and Tehidy Country Park. The shower block and washing up facilities are fine (not the biggest so you might have to wait if you need to shower a child at the same time, to get the only cubicle with a chair to put wash bag etc). The park is nice; the kids enjoyed it. It was very quiet at night on the park itself but the road next to it can be noisy from time to time - it sounded like a quad went up and down it late at night a few times. It wasn’t a big problem, though.
Our only real gripe was that we camped with friends, having booked 6 months ago and requested then to be next to each other, and we were separated from two families who were next to each other. Before pitching I rang to check we couldn’t pitch nearer them and without checking, the owner said it was absolutely impossible - I accepted this, as I know bookings are like a jigsaw puzzle to fit, but it was very irritating that a pitch opposite them was free literally the entire time we were there. This really affected our enjoyment of time on the campsite as cooking together etc was a palava, and once little ones were down we couldn’t sit and chat with them easily. I really felt like had he wanted to help, he could have; he didn’t want to help us. For this reason, we would come just as our family again, but I would be very careful about booking with other people.
Also to note - on the playground, there’s a sunken trampoline, with a sign stating parental supervision and no liability is taken for accidents. Completely fair enough. But then slightly odd when the owner told off children whose parents were sitting right there, avoiding all eye contact with any adults. If they are there, they are taking responsibility for their children, as per the sign.

Sorry about not being able to put you right by each other. We had a no show on the pitch opposite otherwise we would have happily accommodated your request. There was no way we could have predicted it would work out like that.

+1
We loved our 4 night stay here, we had a tent pitch with electric and it was spacious and not far from the toilets/showers.
The owner of the park was so friendly and welcoming, he recommended a road trip for us to find some hidden gems and we had an amazing time, really grateful for this!
The showers were nice and warm, little hair dryer in there that costs 20p to use.
Everything was well maintained and the children's play area was always full of happy kids, especially on the trampoline.
There's a noise curfew at this park so not good for people wanting to do all nighters, but it was perfect for us.
We had clear skies at every night and saw some amazing shooting stars.

This was our first camping experience/experiment as a family of four. Just two nights to see if we liked it. Well what can we say we all enjoyed it very much. We learnt a lot. We had some issues on our side but we cannot fault the site. Well maintained private plots. Facilities were spotless as was the whole site. Very private and secure as well as peaceful. You can hear the A30 if the wind is blowing your way but we live near a busy duel carriage way so didn’t bother us. The chap on arrival was very friendly and informative of the site and local area. The toilets and shower block were central so not too far to walk too (take a torch for night time toilet trips). BBQ area was fab and right next to our pitch although there is a base for your own bbq on each pitch. Safe to say we will be booking a full camping holiday next year and our experiment was a success. Thanks Tehidy for a relaxing couple of days.

We had a lovely time here. The location is superb for accessing Cornwall's lovely beaches. We also did two excellent family cycle rides - Cornwall's Coast-to-coast and Godrevy's Heritage trail which included Tehidy woods. We found some lovely running routes as well directly from the site. We were given a spacious pitch at the top of the site. Toilets, showers and park short walk only. Shower block not the most modern but there was never a queue, plenty of handy hooks and ALWAYS hot water, any time of day. There was some road noise but the site's many other attributes more than made up for this. We received a warm welcome from the campsite owner, who gave really good tips on where to visit and which pubs to eat at. We found the campsite overall very friendly with like minded fellow campers that respected the no noise after 10pm rule. Our boys made lovely friends and made thorough use of the park. We would love to have stayed the full two weeks and were sad to leave
Definitely recommend!

Such a pleasure revisiting this friendly, well-run family-friendly site. The location is a delight and guests are treated with care and attention. We felt completely covid-safe as the extensive measures were outlined to me when I booked. This was an excellent environment to relax in such stressful times down to the owls hooting in the surrounding woods. We were warm, cozy, and comfortable and I can recommend Tehidy with complete confidence. We will be returning as soon as we can.

This is a great site, well kept, attractively planted and with privacy planting for pitches. The staff were superbly helpful and friendly. It’s location is fantastic - so central that Falmouth, St Ives, Newquay, Padstow and Penzance are all easily accessible.

We stayed in the lowest grade caravan they had (last minute booking) and it showed. We noticed a bad smell as soon as we entered that we dealt with using Neutradol. Tree overhanging caravan meant rain water made such a loud noise when the wind blew we barely slept one night. TV remote didn't work and there were some cosmetic things wrong. However none of this caused us huge problems as the location is perfect and there are no 'chavs' here or children running wild. Very peaceful. Would recommend but spend slightly more on better caravans!

What a shame you didn't tell us you had a problem with anything we would have checked it out and sorted it for you. I'm not sure what type of smell you found it's puzzling as I fog the caravans with an activated oxygen system between users and the cleaners do a great job after that and we pick up on things like that and make sure any problems are dealt with. Good you enjoyed your stay and we agree it is a great location for exploring Cornwall and is a lovely peaceful site. Best wishes Richard

We haven’t been camping for year’s, we found this holiday site online and the reviews looked good so we booked. The very lovely guy who welcomed us was very helpful gave us a list of places to eat and visit we didn’t fit them all in but the recommendations were spot on Thankyou 😊.
The site has everything you need and not too far to walk, plenty of hot water. Flat pitches, just remember your torch if you go out to bathroom at night it’s very dark, loose gravel on a downwards slope slippy when wet which my daughter discovered unfortunately.
The facilities are clean although we visited peak holiday period we occasionally had to wait for availability as only 3 showers but to be expected peak time.
The 10pm quiet was ignored by the people around us 1am and they were still outside chatting laughing loudly. The road noise was not expected either, we didn’t realise it was so close just the other side of the hedge.
Obviously the owners have no control of the noise other guests make or the traffic but it meant we got about 4-5 hrs sleep a night.
This is a lovely little hidden site close to cornwalls beautiful beaches, if we ever visit again would ask for a pitch further from the roadside then it would be great😊.

Many thanks for your review. I'm so pleased you had a good time and enjoyed the site and area. Normally our guests are very thoughful towards each other and we do remind them to be considerate if necessary. Sorry you had a noisy neighbour. At times our local raod does get busier, especially with holiday traffic, we have done everything to mitigate this with a 30mph zone by the site and have hedged and fenced the site boundary. If you found it a nuisance just ask for a pitch away from this area, there are only 6 pitches that are along this boundary. Best wishes Richard

Portreath beach is good for surfing, it gets a bigger wave. Porthtowan just over 5 mins drive is a good family surfing spot with good waves too. Godrevy is more gentle for fun play. Chapel Porth is stunning, has good surf too. All are lifeguarded.
The local village is just above us in the valley, it's 10 minutes to the local shop, pub, Boots and pasty shop. There is a footpath for most of the way, the first 100m or so doesn't have a path. We and our children walk it/ cycle regularly.
Hi,
Yes, there is one kingsize bed , a double bed and four single beds in the accommodation.
Kind Regards
Julia
