From the moment we arrived we got a lovely warm welcome.
The room was comfortable and as it was a very warm day the touch of having Dyson fan in the room was very welcome.
Bed was very comfortable but was on wheels so moved around a little. Lol
We were let down by a nearby place for food but the staff were so accommodating and to be honest i was glad the other place let us down as the food here was superb.
Had a few drinks later and the outside space was welcome.
Will go back and soon hopefully
Hospitality was superb. Big shout out to all the staff working 12th May and morning of the 13th.

Thanks to the staff that worked evening of 15 Feb. The service we got was the best we have had in Scotland for the 20yrs I have lived here. You really made a very rainy bleak day special. You went out of your way to accommodate us on a very busy evening. The food was very well prepared and good size portions, could not even think of desert. Also vegetarian friendly options.

Second visit to the Aberlour Hotel for food in the space of a few weeks as following on from taking Granny for her 80th birthday celebration we took our 15 year old son to celebrate his own along with his two brothers. Second five star rating on the food as was simply outstanding. Fresh fish, beautifully prepared burgers and to top it off home cooked chips and not the anemic frozen plate fillers. They have revamped the lounge area for dining with large tables and comfy seating which adds to the pleasurable experience. Highly recommend

Visited here just to get a quick bite to eat after travelling and we decided on a late lunch. We ordered 2 haddock and chips, a steak pie and mash, scampi and chips, and spicy burger and chips.

The food arrive in a short period of time (fantastic start) and I’m afraid that’s where it stops as they food was not pleasant.

Firstly, my fish and chips had a hair (not a rabbit) on the plate (I have dark hair and it was blond so definitely not mine). I immediately informed the server and she took it away, apologised and said she would bring freshly prepared food again. The timings were out as it was brought out supper quick. Not to cause and issue I just proceeded to eat it. The fish batter was crispy but saturated with oil. The chips were the same and to say that the oil had been used a number of times, was an understatement, as the flavour of the oil was very much present in the chips etc.

The burger was ok but dry, the steak pie was good but a little salty and accompanying mash was rather dry and crying out for butter, milk and cream. The scampi was ok but again, the chips as before the flavour of the overly used oil ran through the food. There was also a hair on the lemon. The quality of food definitely did not represent the prices, you would be able to get much better food and cheaper in the city centre of Edinburgh. Clear to say, I won’t be returning.

We stayed here for 4 nights, the hotel is great value for money, bar area and restaurant are clean and the food is awesome, nothing is a problem and the kitchen are so flexible. The manager checked us in and explained all the local amenities including the pharmacy in case we needed anything for the kids. We met the owner by chance on the day after checkin, she was very friendly and chatty and made us feel at home. The other staff who served us at dinner (where we ate every night as it was so good) were also great and friendly. Rooms were comfortable and spacious, the highlight are the showers, we could have all fitted in! We will definitely be back, thanks to the super service and food.

I was looking forward to having lunch here as my partner had recommended it, he had the steak which was really good however I ordered the Cajun chicken linguine it looked good however as I started to eat it I noticed it was drenched in oil you can see it in the photo I couldn’t even taste the sauce all I could taste was oil. Bearing in mind I had barely touched it and it was priced at £17, I had mentioned this to the waitress she was kind and apologetic. When I went up to ask for some sort of discount as I wasn’t happy paying full price for this they said the could just take off the 2 cokes we had which would’ve been fine however I still had to pay full price for a dish that wasn’t worth how much it is.

I stayed at the Aberlour Hotel with my wife and three friends for a Whisky weekend.

The hotel was great, the staff were incredibly friendly and the breakfasts were super. We had a double room while the others had singles.
The rooms were very clean and well appointed with what appeared to be brand new bathrooms. We stayed on probably the hottest weekend of the year and the hotel had thoughtfully provided a tower fan in our room.

We ate elsewhere, but returned to the bar each night. It was lively and the locals were very friendly.

The Aberlour hotel was superb value for money and I’d would highly recommend it. We would definitely go back, even if just for a night in the bar!

Came here for a family meal out whilst staying in a local cottage for a few days. Staff were absolutely brilliant, so friendly and efficient. Whilst there my teenager took ill and the staff were really concerned and kept asking how he was. He went back to the car while we finished our meal, and the staff were happy to box up his meal so we could take it away with us. Restaurant itself is super clean and Covid safe, beautifully decorated and modern. Food was outstanding and by far the best meal we had on this holiday. Will definitely visit again next time we’re in the area!

Found ourselves in Aberlour on a rainy Monday; glad we decided to stop for lunch at Aberlour Hotel. They warned us that it might be a wait for food, but this wasn't too bad at all. The menu is extensive, including a gluten free section. We had the spicy burger and mac & black, both were incredibly tasty, good sized portions and nicely plated. Only deducted 1 star, as our drinks order could have been taken a little more promptly. However, they were busy with a large party.

Stayed here for my 50th Birthday whisky tour with 4 mates.

We stayed for two nights, but wish it was longer

My room was fantastic and looked like it had been recently decorated. Loads of space, comfortable bed, lovely bathroom, with a shower I could spend hours in.

Food was great, we had one evening meal here and two breakfasts. Really lined our stomachs for the whisky that lied ahead

The bar area is great, with friendly staff, in particular the owner, she made us feel very welcome.

Great hotel to stop, and use as a base for exploring this fantastic part of the UK
