Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

The host is really nice and the room is spacious with a nice bathroom and separate toilet. We were there for the distillery and it’s really close by, easy to walk to. She cooked us a really nice breakfast in the dining room.

Arrived earlier than planned, completely drenched after a wet day's cycling from Forres. The Norlaggan B&B and nice and warm and clean and they put up a clothes airer in the bathroom to allow us to dry everything off before the next days cycling. There was a bit of traffic noise as we were on the main road, but this was very quiet once the window was closed. Only stayed on night but was made very welcome and was also given advice on where to eat that day.

We only stayed for one night but we had a good experience. There are only 3 rooms in this guesthouse and we knew from reading the website that the bathroom and separate loo were shared and this was not a problem for us.

Our room was huge, well-appointed, had a sink, and a spare single bed too.

The breakfast was nice albeit we had to come back a bit later as the couple there before us hadn't finished (there is only one large table to eat at). Again, this didn't worry us as it was only another 10-15 mins and we weren't in a rush.

The free WIFI kept us occupied in the meantime.

my friend and I were in a downstairs bedroom which resembled an impoverished old fashioned bed sit.We had to climb a flight of stairs to get to the toilet and bathroom which was the only one in the house for guests. We had to share it with 6 other guests., also the bathroom was being used to store a folded up "z" bed I wouldnt like to sleep in a bed that had been stored in a bathroom !!!!!!!!!!!!
We wont be back................

I stayed here with my father and three friends when on the whisky trail in the Speyside. The lodgings were comfortable and clean and Roz was unobtrusive but present when required. Breakfast was top notch and really set us up for the day. Free fast wifi and teles in each room an added bonus. Good stuff.

This was an excellent spot to stay in my recent visit to Speyside. The host - Rose - was warm and helpful, immediately greeting me with all of the essentials for my room, including a fresh cup of tea. The room was clean, comfortable and traditional Scottish B&B style. A traditional Scottish breakfast is included - perfect for gearing up for a full day of activities. This spot is so well-located for any Speyside visitor. I’d stay again.

We stayed here a while back and unfortuneately did not put in a review, big mistake! Dont believe owners comments about a competitor putting up a bad review. 'If the cap fits wear it'! Coments relocation are correct as is poor bathroom facilites as well as shabby decor! Nothing has obviously changed since we were there. I think the hosts attitude to guests is dependant on their country of origin as once the European guests departed mr Jekyll left & Mr Hyde arrived with his spouse!
Very poor show!

I cannot tell you how happy we were to arrive in Ablerlour and meet Rose. She was the best host. There were three of us sharing a room and it was perfect. The size of the bathroom was huge, the shower was great. The beds were very comfy and the breakfast was perfect! We had a chance to visit with Rose about the area and the whiskey distilleries close by. So thankful for her help and hospitality. Will definitely be coming back to stay with her. Go eat at the mash tun and walk along the Spey river just steps from this adorable B&B.

The land lady ,Laura, was very welcoming. The room was very surprising as it was practically half the house to ourselves. There was two of us. the bedroom had a king size bed and also had two single beds . Not only was it en-suite but we also had our own lounge with tea( etc) making facilities with heating and television . Breakfast room was just off the lounge and had a full English. plus haggis that Laura went out to get for us in the rain. Every room was very clean and tidy. We would be very happy to go there again and highly recommend her. Parking on road but plenty of room. We had little to no noise but Aberlour is a quiet town Highly recommend a visit to the walkers shortbread factory shop nearby .

We stayed here on a Saturday night overnighter and were hoping to explore the local Scottish malt scene. On the way to Aberlour we saw that two of the bigger distilleries were closed for the weekend! Yikes! But our hostess at the Norlaggan had a great recommendation for dinner with a flight of malts, and got our name on the tour for Aberlour distillery the next day. It was all super!

The room was fine although bath was shared with other guests, no big deal. The room's view was a bit unspectacular overlooking the main road. However, if you're there to explore the distilleries, you're in the right location. The breakfast food was very good. All in all, a good value!
