Still Rabbit Lodges garners high praise for its impeccable service and spotless cleanliness, with guests consistently impressed by the well-maintained lodges and grounds. The luxurious atmosphere, complete with comfortable furnishings and private hot tubs, contributes to the serene experience. While the lodges offer tranquil privacy and convenient proximity to York, some guests have mentioned occasional traffic noise. We've just had a 2 night midweek stay in Palomino for my birthday and everything was perfect. We had an early arrival on Wednesday, we checked straight into the lodge and were both blown away by the beauty of it. Everything was immaculate and so clean the kitchen was really well equipped, the fridge was big enough for everything we brought we even had a freezer where we kept 2 large bags of ice for our drinks. We wasted no time by going in the hot tub and even in the extreme heat this was a perfect temperature to relax in. The decking was also very private we sat here on a night with a few drinks just watching the birds and appreciating the silence. I'm sure as we sat in the hot tub one night we saw a shooting star! The first night for tea we got an Indian curry delivered right to our lodge which was gorgeous and the second night we drove into the village as we spotted a Chinese Takeaway (they didn't deliver) took it back to the lodge and again that was so nice. Breakfast we made ourselves and it was just so peaceful sitting outside with a cuppa enjoying the tranquilty, we even saw a fox, 2 badgers and a deer! The bedroom although boiling hot had a really comfortable bed and we both slept soundly. On our last morning we had an early hot tub session, we had booked a late check out but by 10 we were ready to go otherwise we would've barricaded ourselves in and refused to ever leave! All in all we wanted a beautiful, peaceful, tranquil escape and that is exactly what we got. I hope the owners give themselves and their fantastic team a pat on the back as they have something really special here. By the way we were home 2 hours and missed Still Rabbit so much we've booked for November in the beautiful Palomino!

If I could make one suggestion it would be to have a standing fan in each lodge for when the weather is hot.

Just returned from a couple of nights at Still Rabbit Lodges and enjoyed every minute.

We stayed in Britannia Petite which is the most private of all the Lodges, situated off its own little lane. The lodge is nicely decorated, is clean and includes all the kitchen utensils and appliances you will need for your stay. To say that this is the smaller lodge it is still a really good size, especially the bedroom with a king size bed and if is really spacious.

The hot tub, patio and decking area are the highlights of this lodge. It is perfect to relax in the hot tub at night and enjoy looking up at the stars. In the day time, the decking area has a little sun for those of you like me who enjoy tanning time. My boyfriend loved that the hot tub was shaded for most of the afternoon, getting a little sun later on.

Yellow top Country Park is quiet and great for a relaxing weekend. We took a stroll around the lake in the sunshine and stumbled upon the chickens and ducks which are a great addition to the site. We didn't really venture out but if you are looking for walking trails, pubs and restaurants, all of this information is provided in your welcome pack.

The only thing I would want to warn people of is the size of the fridge. It is quite small and we had quite a lot of food and drink and couldn't quite fit it all in so just be careful how much you take and what you are wanting to keep cool.

Myself and partner will more certainly be returning and will be recommending still rabbit lodges to our family and friends.
Thank you for a most enjoyable stay.

Another fabulous holiday in Chinchilla, five nights of utter bliss, relaxation, and chilling out. The hot tub, as always, is such a welcome bonus. The lodge is well-equipped with kitchen utensils, big white fluffy towels, comfortable corner sofa and very comfy super king-size bed. We booked to return to Chinchilla in September, taking advantage of the 10% discount if booked before departure, and we're also returning for five nights over Christmas, staying in Beveren. This is, by far, one of our favourite wind down places to stay.

A fabulous place to stay with luxury lodges. We stayed in Beveren. The bedroom was absolutely stunning with a super king ornate wood carved four poster bed, a dressing table and wardrobe, t and sofa. The living area had a spacious sofa, TV, dvd player (you can borrow dvds from reception). The kitchen area with dishwasher, oven hob etc had a seating with bar stools. There's also a table and chairs. WiFi is incredibly fast.
Take salt pepper, milk and your own tea coffee.
Outside the hot tub is totally secluded. The upper decking has lovely quality seating and a bench overlooking the small lake.
There's an old railway line trail which goes on for miles and miles if you enjoy walking. It's a flat walk so very easy.
At Bubwith approx 4 miles away, the White Swan pub is fantastic! Home cooked for with generous portions and attentive staff.
For shops, you will need to drive further, so Market Weighton 8 miles, although there's a local Macolls shop 2 miles in Holme on the Moor.
York and the designer outlet is good to visit.
Overall a really lovely stay. I'd highly recommend this place and I can imagine it would be even better being able to sit outside in sunshine.

We had a lovely romantic two night stay in the Britannia Petite lodge. The bed was enormous and very comfortable and the hot tub was private and just what we needed to relax and unwind. The lodge came well equipped with utensils for the kitchen and toilet roll and handwash for the bathroom. With Still Rabbit being an adults only site, we also really appreciated the peaceful surroundings. Thank you, we will be coming back soon and would absolutely recommend to any couples looking for a relaxing stay!

Had a lovely stay in the Britannia Petite lodge. This lodge is set away from the other lodges so is quite private. It’s quite small for a lodge but plenty big enough for two and recently updated and redecorated in a cosy fashion. It has everything you need in the kitchen with a small welcome pack with the essentials, a hairdryer is provided, and the internet connection is good.
The main attraction for us was the hot tub which did not disappoint. Maintained daily and the temperature was good every time we used it.
Plenty of wildlife to see including deer and loads of different birds. We had a little walk around the site and found a chicken coop in the style of a western bar where you can collect fresh eggs if you wish. Loads of water fowl to watch as well.
Lots of places nearby to visit, Beverly is like a mini York, and Pocklington is worth a visit.
All in all a pleasant experience.

We had a lovely relaxing short break at the Still Rabbit. We stayed in the Bouscat. It was so quiet and the lodge was immaculate. The bed however was creaky and the mattress was too soft for us but that is just a personal preference. There was a large tear in the corner of the bed sheet when we arrived but that was the only fault in the lodge.
One thing I don’t understand though which is worth baring in mind which I wasn’t too happy about is their check in / department times. If you stay for just one night you can check in at 2pm and depart at 11.30 am which I think is the normal times for most places, but if you stay any longer than one night like us then you have to pay £40 extra to benefit from these times. We did pay the extra because it makes a huge difference to your stay. If you don’t pay the extra you can not check in until 4pm and you have to depart by 10 am. I just can’t see why you should pay more when you are staying longer than one night it should be the same regardless.
If anyone is looking for a relaxing break away I would highly recommend a visit.

H Julie, Thank you for your review. We are delighted you enjoyed your stay with us. In regards to the check in and out times, we have 27 lodges on site and during busy seasons, most days we see at least 15 lodges a day changing over and turning 15 lodges over in 2 and a half hours including the hot tubs is not possible. This is why standard check in is from 4pm and check out is 10am. Our minimum stay is 2 nights. 1 night stays are only offered at short notice or if there is a gap between bookings. We allow early arrival and late departure on these so guests can make the most of their stay on site. I will look into the bed being creaky and will have maintenance sort this out.

Another return for me and the wife to one of our favourite places!
As parents and full time workers its the perfect place to come away and enjoy a peaceful relaxing stay
You hardly see anybody around (a few deers and wildlife)
Lodges are clean and well equipped , never had any issues with the WiFi and the hot tub is amazing!
We’ve stayed in 2 different lodges and have booked a 3rd different one try later this year!
We look forward to seeing you then!

Stayed in the Havana Lodge recently to celebrate our wedding anniversary. First time here and really impressed overall. Lodge is beautifully decorated and spotlessly clean, as is the hot tub. Lovely large decking area with seating overlooking the water and the ducks! Overall, had a wonderful time and sure we will be visiting again. Maybe a little harsh to drop a star but some really minor issues. Firstly, shower head would not stay in place once water was flowing and had to be held by hand to shower. Secondly, location seems pretty rural, but weirdly, even when we were sat out late at night, there was quite a lot of traffic noise which was unexpected. Finally, after our trip, got an e-mail offering a 10% discount if we booked again by phoning them. I tried to do this, but landline said number wasn't recognised. Mobile number wasn't answered, so left a message but didn't get a reply, which was a shame. Won't stop us going again as the positives far outweigh these minor negatives. Thank you.

Never got a taxi but we did order a takeaway which was delivered straight to our lodge so I don't think there will be a problem. There may be numbers for local taxi firms in the info folder in the lodge, if not youd be able to find one online easy enough. The food was lovely btw.

As you drive into the site take a right turn, follow the signs for Still Rabbit, you will then come to a left turn and you will see a board with your name in it. All the lodges are on the right and each one has its name on it. Enjoy your stay, it is a wonderful peaceful place.

I believe you can fish the lake (I've seen others doing so), but probably have to purchase an on-site licence from the office.
