I live fairly local and our kids love the play area. We know what to expect from wishing well generally, just a very average pub but the carvery was so poor. Mash had to be banged off the spoon, was like cement, roast potatoes tasted very strongly of fat and meat was full of Fat. Had to chew carefully. I...

Called in to meet some friends of mine who were staying at the wishing well. We had a few drinks and decided to have a meal. Ordered meal and the staff were less than nice when I was ordering. Out came my chicken strips which was were medium warm, the staff kept coming to our table with food which was...

Visited this restaurant on a very busy Sunday afternoon. Although they were extremely busy the customer service I received was fantastic. The food was average but defiantly worth what we paid for it, which at buy one get one free was next to nothing.

Stayed at the Wishing well on a business trip thankfully just the one night! The entrance carpets along with those on the stairs and rooms were stained, not the best start, the room was dark even with all the light's on, the toilet had been used so thathadnt been cleaned, which made me think about the rest of the room,...

My stop was en route back home to London after driving from London to North Yorkshire that day mid-winter. The hotel provided a full-strength "battery re-charge" via a comfortable bedroom and good meals with excellent service. Receptionist services were especially good.

Arrived at the wishing well at 1800. The place was busy with families and couples. It must be noted there is a adults only area. Myself and Friend ordered our food and were happy to learn it was 241 even on a Saturday night. I ordered the chicken kebabs and there was no issue in changing rice for chips. My...

Great pub to take the kids. Clean soft play area with plenty to do. Great atmosphere, clean and well decorated. Prices are fair and the food and drink are above average for a 'chain style' restaurant.

I went this evening with five lads with Autism who live local to the wishing well. Ashley who was working behind the bar and taking food orders could not have been more helpful and was very understanding towards the lads communication and the need for them to order their own food . We wish more restaurants could be so understanding...

We went to Wishing well and fancied their special offer Christmas meal. What I didn't know is you had to book it. However the staff checked with the chef who said he could do it for us. Prawn cocktails, soup, 3 turkey dinners, one salmon and Christmas pud all round. We ate every bit it was lovely. Would have been...
