Fantastic stay as always at Yellowtop, very relaxing and a great setting to recharge before a busy festive period. We visit 3-4 times a year and always recommend Yellowtop to friends. The location is very peaceful and great for walks, but also close enough to York if you wished to visit as part of your stay. The local shops are only 10 minutes away by car including a family run butchers offering quality produce. For a break away that allows you fully switch off and relax we wouldn’t go anywhere else.

Second stay at Yellowtop and can highly recommend. Luxurious lodges with hot tub and excellent fishing in the lake. Very peaceful for rest and relaxation , can also be used as a good base for York. We have booked for next year.

We have just returned home after a lovely relaxing break in Wild oats 17. The lodge had everything that we required. The bed was lovely and comfortable. The hot tub was brilliant especially being able to access from the bedroom was a plus. I had taken 2 bathmats with us to lay down when coming in from the tub and would suggest that if you visit you do the same to prevent the rug in the bedroom getting wet. It is several years since we last visited Yellowtop when the lodge was just being built then. Sydney the Swan was a character as were the ducks. They soon learnt that we had bought food for them.

Me and my partner have stayed here at least 6 times. The place is so relaxing - helped by the hot tubs. The lodges are very well equipped with everything you could need. The staff are extremely friendly - especially the hot tub maintenance man who always remembers us from our previous visits. Will definitely be booking again.

Our family favorite place to take time away from work and home. Lost count the times we have returned. Lodges are very clean, and comfortable. Hot tubs are private, and are perfect for the cold winter evenings. Our kids love the place too, great to see them relax. The park is very scenic, quiet and lots of friendly wildlife. Perfect for relaxing, or a base for days out in the area. We prefer to stay in our lodge and enjoy the park. Although this time we visited the local air museum (15 mins drive), which is a great few hours experience. Staff are friendly, and helpful. Even when we had to call out the manger at 2am one night, due to a power cut (not Yellowtop's fault when investigated). Just planning our next visit for spring next year.

Once again a great stay at Yellowtop Country Park. Lodge Clover 20 is our favourite but all the lodges have that something special about them. Comfortable, and cosy to offset the rain outside. Always a warm welcome from the staff who work so hard to make this place so special. See you soon, can’t wait.

Lovely two night break at Yellowtop. Second time we've been here, this time in Wild Oats 19. Lovely lodge, everything you could need is provided. Fully equipped kitchen including supplies for washing up, dishwasher etc. Fabulous bedroom, very luxurious, very peaceful. Positives : Quiet, luxurious, hot tub, independently controlled heating, free wifi, spotlessly clean, well equipped and thought out. You don't need to take a hairdryer or iron and there is a welcome basked with teebags, coffee and milk. Suggestions : Improve lock on front door, very difficult to get it locked from the inside - bathroom taps very difficult to turn off with wet hands - hopefully bathroom is on the list for refurbishment as that would make Wild Oats 19 just perfect. Also, a Smart TV would be the cherry on the cake. All in all, a great place to get away for some peace and quiet, lovely walks and if the weather is good, all the better.

We can’t recommend this place enough. Coming back time after time after time and never get tired of the place. It’s such a beautiful, tranquil location to relax away the hours. Our lodge is always cleaned to perfection making the whole experience 5 star. Every lodge we have stayed in has been unique with it’s own personal touch which makes staying more than once a brand new adventure. If you’re looking for a special place to stay…. Fish or just chill out in the hot tub… give Yellowtop county park a try…. You’ll love it 😉
