We were upgraded to a family room for our original stay & then unexpectedly had to stay another night which we spent in a double room. The family room had a lot more space and the bed was more comfortable. Perhaps it was just because we had been used to the larger room, but the double room felt cramped &... More

Stayed here for one night with my son on business in nearby eggborough. Not many hotels to choose from this suited us because it was so close but I was a bit worried about reviews on TP. We arrived about 830pm went to the bar area to check in. All easy just signed in and was given our room key.... More

Myself and my partner came to spend a couple of nights here. We were put in the annex in the car park, the room was decorated nice and modern and the bathroom came with a bath and shower. Very clean and welcoming. The breakfasts were nice (I'm not a big breakfast fan) and our evening meals were lovely. The staff... More

Superb hotel! Superb restaurant! Superb food! Stayed in the hotel annex. Small, simple room. Very clean, very warm, very comfortable. Terrific power shower! Friendly and welcoming staff. Good beer choice, excellent food menu giving fresh large cooked meals. Will defintely stay here again. Superb!

Been here a few times now and the food is always great but can never work out if it's table service or not. Today, we waited at the door for a couple of minutes before seating ourselves, ordered our food at the bar and waited. We were sat near a table that staff seemed to be having a break on... More

I was in a separate brick built building nicely set in the stunning views of the car park. Room was big, but so dated. I could have made a wig out of the crud stuck to the fan in the bathroom 6 inches above my head in the shower. Shower soap dispenser empty and looked like it had been for... More

Actually not so bad as title makes it seem. Bed was great very comfortable. Despite being on top floor of traditional UK pub shower had plenty of pressure and copious hot water. Only moan about bathroom is the towel rail forcing an unconventional sitting position on the loo! First time I've ever sat at 90 degrees to the normal way!... More

We just stayed here for two nights for a family wedding. Wedding was great and staff very pleasant and helpful. Wedding food good and meal the night before was good. Breakfasts also good. However, sadly, the cleaning of the rooms, especially in the annexe, lets them down. They were acceptable on arrival and then you notice the dirty carpets, mouldy... More

We visited the pub on a quiet Sunday afternoon. The staff were a mixed bag some very keen and some indifferent they did however all lack knowledge and experience. The meals were nothing special and when I complained about the focaccia bread being like a brick and inedible the waitress said 'oh yeah I have had one like that before'!... More
