Hotel has good parking and rooms are of a decent size. No frills hotel with a lobby area where you can get decent coffee or breakfast. Would stay here again if I was visiting this part of the world again.

We had two rooms at the Mercure Salmesbury on Friday 10th September. From the moment we arrived to the time of departure all the team members we met were professional and efficient and had great customer interaction skills. An issue with a room on arrival was immediately dealt with. Dinner in the restaurant was very good, the rump steak was superb, in fact some would pass it off as a filet! The cooked breakfast was one of the best I have ever had in a hotel and I regularly use various chain and private hotels. A special mention and thank you to team members Anthony and Madeline

Stayed here too finish off the summer holiday before the kids went back to school. The hotel had only been open a few days from Covid lock down so lots of things happen for example a lift broke down, no ice and not really having food room service. Regardless of this, what made the stay special was the staff, in particular maddie and Anthony ( brother and sister ). They could not do enough to make our stay specially including custom made late night sandwich and cake when our dinner plans failed in Blackpool. You need to look after these 2 as they are a asset to your hotel which will keep us coming back again and again.

Dear madrobbie1981 Thank you so much for this wonderful review of your family break at Mercure Preston Samlesbury, apologies for any shoirtfalls that you experienced. As much we worked hard to prepare to re-open we did have a few unfortunate teething problems which I am very pleased to say have been resolved. Thank you for the lovely, well deserved comments on Maddie & Anthiny which we will certainly share with them. Hope to see you again in the near future. Kind regards Mercure Preston Samlesbury
