Hospitable host, made welcome. Off road parking for motorcycles. There is a “shed”, but already in use. Twin bedded room was well decorated, clean and had everything we needed. Breakfast was good. Details in the room stated packed lunches and evening meals available by prior arrangement, but we didn’t try this. Great location for touring. Would stay here again.

Great location being so close to all amenities in Rhayader. Comfortable bed and great breakfast. Paul is an excellent host and made us (and the dog) feel very welcome in this beautiful part of mid Wales. Highly recommend and will definitely be back. Great value for money

4 of us had a few days away on the motorbikes and we wanted somewhere central within Wales to use as a base. As we were travelling up to the area in the morning. Paul (the host) very kindly suggested that we could drop off our gear when we arrived, so we could then get back out on the bikes knowing we were all sorted accomaodation wise, allowing us to have a whole afternoon doing what we wanted to do. Once we were back Paul gave us all the local knowledge of where the best places were to eat. We never had to travel far as there is an abundance of Pubs and Restaurants to choose from, all within a very short walk from the Horseshoe. Breakfast was what you would expect and want, a good solid fry up with plenty of tea, coffee, juice and toast. Paul also gave us some tips as to some of the best routes in the local area, The rooms were very clean and tidy with more than enough space, plus off road parking for the motorbikes including the garage if required. Nothing but good things to say about our stay and will definitely return in the not to distant future. All in all, great host, great location, great value for the money and great place to explore from.

Really comfortable bed, tasty hearty breakfast, lovely quiet setting but still stones throw from centre of Rhayader, great value for money, friendly and knowledgeable host who can give advice about the local area. Would come back again in a heartbeat, can't recommend enough.

Thoroughly enjoyable stay at the Horseshoe with Paul as a gracious host. En-suite room was clean, comfortable and quiet,. Paul has created the perfect base to explore the beautiful countryside of Powys and creates the perfect cooked breakfast to help you to do that every morning.
