I took Probus walking group (seventeen) here for a lunch after 5 mile walk through beautiful unspoilt countryside. We had ordered food on arrival at the pub. and on our return 2 1/2 hours later. we were served with fresh-cooked dishes in the conservatory. Everyone voted the food as very tasty and the prices as super value for money. Now...

Me and my motorcycling mate offen ride over here for what has turned out to have been one of our all time favourite places to spend a relaxing Sunday having a delicious roast dinner meal ....staff here are so approachable professional yet so down to earth and we mostly sit outside in the beautiful pub gardens enjoying the tranquillity and...

Hadn't even sat down outside before some guy came out the back and told us we were rude for not asking him?! I've never in my life had to ask permission to drink in a pub! Ended up going and not giving him our money and booked a room down the road instead. Much better service!

Yesterday I travelled to Kimpton for the annual may festival, we stopped at the boot for a drink on sunday afternoon. Landlady drunk out of her skin, someone had spilt a beer and disabled the card machine which the landlord was swearing about in front of my children. I accept it was a busy day for them, why the landlady...

The positives are the quiet village easy to find location and the room we had was clean. That is it. When my husband and I arrived at the boot the one and only representative on site (young barman) managed after 7 or 8 minutes to drag himself away from the football match being shown long enough to take our money...

Landlady seems lovely but my kids left the door open and you would have thought the world had ended. Locals started having a go, landlord backed them up and basically called my kids stupid by saying everyone else's kids shut the door. Far too much aggro for a village local, rather drink at home.

We stayed her for one night last night. The rooms are separate from the Pub in the grounds. The room was very compact, but clean, nicely decorated and comfortable and we had a good breakfast this morning. The service was very helpful and friendly, just right for a brief stop-over.

The Boot Inn was recommended by a local Craft Fayre owner for sunday lunch - there were 4 of us, with my mum being in a wheelchair. They were very helpful in arranging the table for us so it was comfortable for Mum and also very kindly opened their Disabled accommodation so make it easier for access to the disabled...

My husband has stayed here a couple of times and found the staff very friendly. I have been here during the May festival at Kimpton, found the food very good and just a nice place. The only problems in the rooms are the sky lights, which let in quite bright light during the early mornings, if the sun is really...
