Our 6th visit! We love it at School farm, we come every year in August as we love the space and freedom our 10yr old has. The cottages are stunning, clean and plenty of space. We cannot wait for visit 7! We made great use of the games room & the football goals on the field. Overall another lovely stay.

Perfect family break. Our children absolutely loved School Farm, everything about our stay was great, the communication following our booking and prior to arrival, setting up our children’s room with age appropriate’Little Farmer’ themed bedding and access to EV charging on site for our car. The welcome from David & Claire was warm and informative about the facilities, the farm animals and local area (15 minutes from Suffolk coast). Our children particularly loved getting up in the morning and checking how many eggs the chickens had laid for our breakfast. Having the enclosed play area connected to the rear of the accommodation was great, we could sit and relax in the patio/garden area while our son and daughter played. The accommodation was really nicely presented and clean with a lot of attention to detail in keeping with farm and countryside experience. We had a lovely stay and would happily return in the future. We would highly recommend School Farm Cottages to families.

We stayed in Swan cottage which is the smallest of the four. It was ideal for us, very spacious and well equipped. The standard of decoration and cleanliness was also exceptional. We both agreed the beds were the best we have slept in, so comfortable and lovely white cotton bed linen. The cottages are located in a very peaceful setting, absolutely no noise at night and lovely views of the pond and fields beyond. As an added bonus we had fresh eggs for breakfast we collected from the chickens! Claire and David were fantastic hosts very warm and welcoming. They said the plan was to provide a place they would like to stay at, they have certainly achieved this. In summary we would definitely recommend a stay here, great accommodation, ideal location. We plan to return.

We must start by saying how amazing our hosts were – Claire and David could not have been more welcoming and helpful during our stay. (They live on site, in the farm house) We have stayed in many Airbnb’s, and similar over the years – but this place is by far the best equipped and the cleanest! There are four cottages, set in an L shaped terrace. The cottages are very well equipped, immaculately clean and furnished to a very high standard. Claire and David have clearly taken a lot of time and trouble to ensure that quality furnishings have been used and that the cottages are made to feel very welcoming and homely. We stayed in North Cottage and Swan Cottage in the Easter school holidays. These two have lockable interconnecting doors on the ground and first floors. North Cottage has a double room, a twin room upstairs, and a double sofa bed in the lounge. It has a toilet and shower upstairs. The kitchen/diner has an extendable table – we sat nine round it comfortably. Swan Cottage has a double/twin and a toilet and bath (with shower over) upstairs. Downstairs there is a combined kitchen/lounge/diner. There is a sofa bed in the lounge area. In both cottages the stairs come down into the lounge. The equipment included full crockery/cutlery/glass sets, all the cooking utensils you could need, microwave, cooker, dishwasher, kettle, toaster, hair dryer, unlimited hot water, great central heating, board games, radios, TV, dvd player, ironing board, hoover and fast internet Wi-Fi. Our hosts had provided tea/coffee/sugar/milk, biscuits, juice, toilet rolls, dishwasher tablets – and very kindly Easter Eggs for the three grandchildren. There is a separate shared laundry room with two washing machines and a dryer, washing powder and conditioner. There is also a large shared games room, with a pool table, table-football and table-tennis table (each cottage has its own set of bats and balls) the building also has its own toilet and kitchenette. In front of the cottages is a large gravel parking area, a charging point for electric vehicles, a fenced lake with seating, and a football pitch with goals! Behind the cottages is large fenced shared lawn area with tables and chairs for each cottage, and play equipment – suitable for young children. (Just down the lane is the village park, with play equipment suitable for older children.) Also in the garden is a rabbit and free-range chickens – and the children loved collecting the freshly laid eggs. Nearby is the town of Halesworth which has a large Co-op. (13 min drive) Southwold - lovely beach and town (30 min drive – set satnav to go via Halesworth or you’ll go most of the way on single-track roads!) Old Hall Southwold – great children’s play park and café/restaurant. (27 min drive – again go via Halesworth). Lots of great local walks, all carefully drawn out in the information pack in each cottage. School Farm Cottages are an amazing place to stay – after our week there no one wanted to leave – thoroughly recommended – thank you Claire and David - we will definitely be back!

We’ve just spent an absolutely fabulous weekend staying at School Farm with our 3 year old. You really couldn’t ask for a more delightful place to stay. With a friendly rabbit and fresh eggs from the chickens each morning. Plus a big garden area for children to play in and a games room for any older children or competitive adults. Everything was just perfect and the owners could not have been more welcoming and friendly. Also it’s perfect if you are looking to stay somewhere with friends or family as you could have your own private area plus a shared space to hang out in the garden. If your staying in the area I highly recommend you stay here.

We stayed in Silverleys Cottage, which was very comfortable with all that we needed for us and our two young children. The cottage was clean and well equipped. Particular bonuses were the outdoor play equipment and collecting the freshly laid eggs each morning. We enjoyed visits to Framingham Castle, Sutton Hoo, Southwold and Aldeburgh. Southwold was a particularly good day out for a family. The owners are very friendly and live on site. Thoroughly recommended!

We stayed in one of the lovely cottages and also hired the meeting room for a family event. The cottage was lovely and welcoming, and the beds were very comfy! The meeting room was a perfect space to hire for the event and we were easily able to provide a buffet meal using a local caterer. The trestle tables and chairs were all easily accessible and gave us plenty of eating space. The grounds are beautiful and quaint and made the perfect setting overall. Claire and David were more than helpful and are such lovely people to deal with. A huge thank you for allowing us to have such a lovely weekend.

We had a wonderful stay at Swan cottage. In fact it's one of the best self catering locations that we've ever been to, if not the best. The cottage is clean and well equipped. It's very quiet apart from the the occasional horse trotting by and we thoroughly enjoyed cycling and walking around the local lanes passing by some beautiful scenery. We spent most evenings in the games room which is lovely and warm with excellent quality table tennis, pool and bar football. With free eggs from the owner's chickens what more could you want?

What a great review - thank you! Once more our fresh free range eggs get a mention - there's nothing quite like collecting a freshly laid, still warm, egg for your breakfast! We are well situated for exploring all that Suffolk has to offer, whether by car, or by making use of the many footpaths and cycle routes in the area. So pleased you enjoyed the facilities we provide here and enjoyed cycling round the Suffolk lanes. Swan Cottage although the smallest of our four cottages, has the best view over the ponds and meadows down to the village church - a lovely place to relax after a day out on your bikes! We would be pleased to welcome you back one day.

We have visited the farm on 2 occasions now, the first time being so good we couldn't wait to go back. We have stayed in North Cottage  and Silverleys Cottage. When you arrive you find biscuits, tea, coffee on the side with milk & apple juice in the fridge. Both cottages were immaculate, clean, lovely decor and all the little touches make your stay something else. There is a football pitch, games room with a pool table & table tennis which my children love. You can go and collect fresh eggs from the chickens every day in a little basket provided. There is so much to do in the surrounding areas. But the best thing about your stay is Claire and David. They are great hosts, nothing is too much trouble and so accommodating for all your needs. We can't wait for our 3rd visit😊

We stayed at Silverlay’s Cottage for a week with our 2 year old son and we had a fantastic time! The cottage is lovely and clean, with a well equipped kitchen and comfortable living room and bedrooms. The garden at the rear was great for our son as it was safe with lots of things to keep him entertained - special mention to the hens who he loved and enjoyed visiting each morning to collect eggs for breakfast! We visited a number of the nearby towns & villages including Southwold, Walberswick, Thorpeness, Alderburgh, Lexfield, Huntingfield and Beccles - all of which were within 40mins to the cottage. We had lovely walks around the farm (out son loved visitng the horses!), and my husband enjoyed running along the country lanes in the evenings. Thank you to the hosts Claire and David who were so welcoming and helpful!
