To be fair we didn't actually stay at this hotel. We made a reservation but when we arrived they showed us a room that was absolutely awful. Dark, dank, an smelly. We booked this hotel because we were traveling with 5 kids and wanted to have a place with a pool and the pictures looked great. When we arrived they... More

vacation appartments in teh middle of teh forest. Might be dangerous to move around at night. On weekend is a place to enjoy the swimming pool by local people. On winter rooms are cold. A taxi is required to move around.

Perhaps it was because we were one of the few guests, but we found this an utterly charming place. Great view from our room out to the nearby mountains, and yet super convenient right off the highway heading into Uruapan. Fireplaces in the room and we had an aguacate (avocado wood) fire - muy romantico! Nice comfortable king bed and... More

Wonderful staff too .....and absolutely wonderful food and great prices ...mind you it was January 1980 . I am sure that many things have changed but if the intrinsic beauty of the location hadn't been altered too much ...and the welcoming nature of the people is what I know it still can be from my other experiences in Mexico then... Every hotel has its good and bad days, but when a hotel is motivated purely by income and management turns a blind eye to an unforgivable situation, then they incur my wrath , I stayed at this place this week for two nights - May 5th and 6th. On day two, a bus load of around 60 students checked into... More

We booked this room after reading the first review. We were looking for something outside of the city where we could enjoy the quiet and the great views. This was an excellent option. The main rooms cost about $75 for a couple at the time of our stay, which was probably reasonable. However, we chose the more economical rooms for... More

We are a family of five. Both the children and adults loved this hotel. We were a little concerned booking this hotel because its location sounded isolated. It turned out to be a very convenient location. It is easy to find because it is on Uruapan's main east west road, just outside of town toward Paricutin. And, it is perhaps... More

“The rooms (2 levels) that face the pool/patio are the ones to be in. Probably better on the second floor since it seems that noise moves pretty efficiently through masonry walls”
