My boyfriend and I stayed a few nights at this beautiful, calming spot. It was more than we wanted; a cozy and nice cottage with an amazing view, great service and staff that was warm and helpful. You can't avoid breathing the clean air more deep, relax and be social with your travel companion(s). The calm atmosphere was inspiring and...

Hello and thank you for this review - fall really is a good time to visit isn't it? I'm glad you enjoyed the breakfast - I have to admit I have a fondness for the warm croissants myself! It was great that you saw so much wildlife - you really got a full experience of what we offer. I know...

It is fantastic to have great memories of a place ... and then return to discover it is just as nice as you remember it. This is how we feel about our second visit to Hay Lake Lodge. Our first trip was a decade ago, when we wanted to show friends from Europe how beautiful Ontario is. This time, I...

Isn't it amazing how quickly time passes? I always say the second visit is the real test; was it a one-time lucky experience or does it really suit? So I'm glad the second visit was up to standards :). It was a short visit, but you really made the most of your time, yet were able to relax that evening....

My wife, our two-year old son, and I spent a few nights here around Canadian Thanksgiving. It was a beautiful time to be in the area, and we had a wonderful stay at Hay Lake Lodge and Cottages. Erin gave us lots of information before our trip and even provided a high chair and crib. While there, she answered all...

I have a new appreciation for Trip Advisor reviews, since they were an important part of my travels! I'm so glad you enjoyed your stay. You really made the most of your time on the trails in the Park, hiking and biking. Thanks...

We stayed at Hay Lake Lodge and Cottages over Memorial day weekend (outset of black flies season) and came prepared thanks to the advice from Erin. She and her staff are just awesome. We were amazed by the nature surrounding the area (wild life, vegetation, and the loons of course). I loved the raspberry muffins for breakfast and the huge...

Thank you for this. I agree, spring is a great time to visit Hay Lake and the Park if you have some bug spray, light coloured clothing and a hat or even a bug hat. I'm glad you enjoyed your stay, and even more glad you plan to return. Thanks again for taking the time to post a review -...

We've been to Hay Lake Lodge and Cottages for three years running and have already booked a fourth year in advance. Each year gets better and better and our vacations there get longer and longer. Erin and the folks that work at the Lodge are indescribably phenomenal. They are helpful at every turn and aim to make our holidays some...

My husband and I discovered this gem a few years ago and cannot say enough great things about it. We come back here every year and have brought our family to enjoy it too. It's a beautiful retreat, the cottages are well spaced apart that it feels very private. It is an extremely well maintained property and the cottages are...

Thanks so much for the kind words. It has been a pleasure spending time with you each season, with visits that started as a couple and now have included the little one and the parents! I am touched that this place which is so special to me has meaning for you as well. I look forward to your next visit.

We had a wonderful time at the Hay Lake Cottages. We had a lovely cottage, rustic but not dirty. Huge screen porch to sit and watch the lake while escaping the mosquitos and blackflies Lovely breakfast brought to our cottage, easy drive into Algonquin Park to go hiking, canoes available to explore the lake. We would definitely go again and...

An anniversary or any milestone is a great time to pause and relax. Thank you for joining us - Screened Porches are one of the best parts of the cabins I think! I'm glad you enjoyed your stay, and hope to see you again.

My husband and I just returned from a 4 night stay at Hay Lake Lodge and we will definitely return! We can't say enough great things about Hay Lake...like the best combination of a cabin stay and a bed and breakfast. The breakfast they brought to us each morning was wonderful.
