Although I would not recommend this place for anyone needing a place to stay for multiple nights, it wasn't that bad for a night of sleep. Yes, the place is old and out-dated. And yes the bathroom door would not fully shut. If you care about these kinds of things, then don't stay here. Personally, as one who spends more...

I made reservations here and drove up one weekend from Toronto. When I arrived, there was no record of my reservation, and being the peak of the fall colour season, there was NO WHERE for me to stay within a 50 mile radius. I considered sleeping in my car in the parking lot, but it was cold and I didn't...

I had reservations. When I arrived the room was unacceptable. I could not stay. The owner was not present and has not responded to my request for a refund. The room was not clean, smelled old and musty, window did not open for fresh air, bathroom door did not shut. Generally old and outdated. No other rooms seemed to be...

This motel was OK because we spent the days hiking in nearby Algonquin Park, but I would not recommend it. The shower was good (important), the sheets were clean, and everything worked, but it was old, the doors stuck, the carpet and blankets were old, and the small fridge-freezer was fully of ice. The microwave and fridge both worked, but...

My wife and I stayed at the Inn mid-week on Oct. 14 during a visit to Algonquin Park. It's a great location, particularly the riverside rooms, but needs some serious upgrades. The room size was more than adequate, but the room itself was not well kept and needed some serious cleaning and updating. In particular, my wife described the bathroom...

This was really not worth the money. Old and dirty rooms, with spiderwebs and dust across the room. At least the towels and blankets seemed to be clean. My bookings weren't known by the owner at all. Better booking something else in advance.

Bed was in a worst condition, keeps on moving and making noise. You can easily hear what neighbors are talking, reason could be poor quality of walls...no privacy. Basically, you can't sleep until people in next room sleeps or you are a good sound sleeper. Washroom had no exhaust fan or window for the smell to go away. Looking at...

We travelled six hours by motorcycle on Saturday of a long weekend only to find the owner did not have a record of the reservation. It was late in the evening and every hotel/motel in the area was booked. After a lengthy argument with him, many many phone calls he came to me and offered a room that was reserved...

It was our first time at the Alginquin Inn. It is a well used establishment, clean but dated. You can see the current owners are trying to fix and update. But, it takes time. Our server, Ditchka was a joy. We always looked forward to chatting with her during breakfast in the restaurant. The location off the highway has spectacular...

The only thing filthier than the floor was the bed. I can tolerate a lot of filth, I don't like it but I can hunker down and get thought it. This is the closest I've ever come to leaving upon entry. We stayed because the area was sold out of rooms. Should have slept in the front seat of the...
