Several years ago this was a pristine spot to camp ......sadly I was shocked to see the deterioration, dirty toilet and showers, kitchen , dirty plates all over the sink and tables , the grounds once well kept, now overgrown ,and unwatered, despite an irrigation system, dry, bare dirt site where there once was green lawn . It looked like...

This is the second time we have stayed here. We wanted to come back again as the first time about 8 years ago was wonderful. Unfortunately the place has become run down and not as appealing as it used to be, was disappointed the sign is no longer lit up, the old guy that used to run it was so...

Ours had a small living room with tea, a fridge and tv. With hardwood floors and a sink to wash your face or brush your teeth. They also offer tent camping for those...

Great for backpackers or a one night stay. Quirky experience in an old train carriage although rooms not cleaned to a great standard. Stayed in a double carriage which had two small rooms, tea and coffee facilities, TV and sink. Toilets, showers and 'Station' kitchen convenient for use. Great location for Waipara wineries.

“Railway car rooms aren't for those with mobility problems, but my little cabin would pose no problem. I'd've gladly stayed in a railway car if I were staying for several nights.”
