The hotel airport transfer was efficient and took about 50 mins. You can get a service bus to Ciutadella for €2.05 each each and this takes about 35 mins. There was a little shopping area right outside the hotel with lots of restaurants and bars around the harbour if you needed anything and fancied a walk out.
At reception there is a young boy who serves very well and is very friendly, another big boy with tattoos is also quite friendly, the most unpleasant person at reception is without a doubt a woman, possibly Argentine (I didn't notice her name), she is quite unfriendly
The animal pool is chipped, they should fix it because it is for babies and they can get hurt.
Also, the fact that they turn off the jets in the pools so early is somewhat annoying since the children are there until later.
Lack of entertainment during the day. A little more dancing and music before 8:30 p.m. for the children but the entertainment staff is very nice with the little ones.
In the restaurant there was some ugly detail on the part of the staff, we saw the head waiter arguing with a customer in a bad way, even if he was right, these are not ways to speak to customers and with a very high tone of voice that the entire restaurant was watching. We also saw the grill cook arguing with a colleague one day, and a young waiter who, rather than working, greets and runs from one place to another doing practically nothing.
The cleaning of the room is very good, although if you go barefoot your feet turn black even though they have just cleaned, I think it is because they use a wet mop instead of scrubbing with a mop.
The food is a little weaker at midday but the dinners are different every day and the quality of the food is very good, not so much the fruit: the best was the pineapple but the melon was always tasteless and the nectarines were of poor quality.
We loved the detail that the things that customers leave in the pools are left for other children to use, that helps the environment because this way people don't make so many purchases of plastics that after a few uses go into the trash.
The room (suite) is amazing but there are things to improve: we had a fan on the ceiling of the room that if you turned it on you would fly away, it was impossible to withstand that level of air and it had no speeds, on the third day it would not start even though that we had not used it. The sofa bed in the living room is a little dirty, they should clean it with something. The water from the shower seeps underneath and the toilet fills with water when you shower. The hand soap, gel-shampoo and conditioner dispensers are horrible, hardly anything comes out and the quality leaves a lot to be desired. A lot of light enters the room, they should improve that.

As a family who have gone to PlayaMar in PP, Majorca for 3 years running (which we absolutely love and are the biggest fans of Coco), we really wanted to try somewhere else, with a similar vibe - we were not disappointed - for anyone in a similar position to us, keep an open mind. If you have been to Playamar in Majorca one of the biggest and probably the most notable differences for us was the selection & quality of food available at breakfast, lunch and dinner. Marsenses had a great selection and I'd go as far as saying some of the cocktails are actually better, but be prepared there is not the same variety or organization when it comes to dining.
Marsenses itself is in the most perfect location - a stone's throw from the Marina, as well as everything else you could possibly need: Short walks, walking distance to beach, bus stop to Cituadella right outside the front door, pharmacy, supermarkert, souvenir shops etc - there is no better hotel when it comes to location.
The hotel was extremely clean and well maintained - the rooms are all of a very good standard - we were in a suite in Block C (by the children's pool), whilst our parents were in the main building off reception, with a view of the Marina - there were no complaints about the rooms - we all slept extremely well!
The pools are all extremely clean, however some small repairs/maintenance potentially needed to small tiles in the children's pool - however no danger hazards. I note a lot of people of commented on how cold the pools were - do not let this put you off. Whilst we were blessed with great weather in mid October, there were absolutely no issues with using the pools. The children's pool is notably colder than any of the others - we wondered/speculated whether this is to do with the recycling of water for the slides etc, however our 3 year old happily played, splashed, swam in all pools with no issues (as did all other children when we were there).
The Sensi Crew / entertainers are an absolute credit and asset to the hotel - we especially loved Andrei who always took time to stop and chat and also was incredibly kind towards our daughter! He really made our stay memorable and our little girl hasn't stopped talking about him/Sensi's friends!

We stayed in the same area as we usually do, at the back of the hotel by the park. It is lovely and quiet in the evening there. Although this time we had a ground floor apartment, I must admit I'd rather be on the first floor but that is personal preference.
This year there is an additional entertainment team, the FRAM team. Honestly I don't understand why or the need for it. Alice was amazing and very friendly. The male (sorry I don't know his name) was downright rude. The 3 times we saw him walking around he completely blanked us but would talk to every single French family there. As I said, I don't understand the need for another team as the Mar Senses entertainment team are the heart and soul of this hotel and have always spoke a huge range of languages (including French)
The food was OK. My husband is vegetarian but this isn't always labelled clearly, some dishes had a vegetable sign but when he tried it there was meat in it, the sign meant the the dish contains vegetables.
I also don't understand the need for premium all inclusive, this didnt exist on our first visit it was all classed as all inclusive. We paid all inclusive last year and this year, but you have to pay extra for premium drinks on an all inclusive stay. We did notice a lot of families who had FRAM wristbands also had premium all inclusive bands.
We will absolutely go back again to this hotel, the pros far outway the cons.

There is an issue with flies at all the restaurant and bar areas and food seems to be piled on top of each other for long periods but the snack bar by the child splash pool was great as food(chicken nuggets/ chips or burgers) were cooked to order and the gentleman was friendly. Our room was modern but did have ‘mites’ / ‘ants’ in the kitchen area. When this was reported to reception the gentleman laughed and said we do have issues with ants in Menorca. He promised the cleaner would spray the kitchen area but this did not happen. We also asked for cushions for the outside seating but this did not happen either and was requested a number of times. The suite we stayed in was on the first floor and the stairs leading to the suite was not ideal for a pushchair or toddler - there was no ground floor suites left available so may be something to request if you are planning on staying with small children. The spa advertised is also closed and doors were locked. If you want any treatments the reception team call a therapist into the hotel to carry out any massage treatments. Like other areas around Menorca - there seems to be mosquitos and as a family we were covered in bites - be sure to take repellent !
On a plus , the hotel is in a perfect location . It is across the road from the marina , very close to the beach and lighthouse. It is also a short bus journey to the centre although we did not venture too far. There is a pharmacy across from the hotel which were very helpful to us with my child’s allergic reaction.
If the hotel was a 3 star and we paid 3 star pricing - we would be content. There are pros to this hotel but some work needs to be done to really live up to the 4 star expectations.

- Room: we chose a double overlooking the pool, indicating the specific room number (336) through its website and insisting that it be a double bed instead of two beds. They fulfilled everything requested and also left us a detail in the room because it was our honeymoon. Thank you very much to the reception team for that.
The room is quiet, simple but modern, and with easy access to the pool, bar and restaurant. As for the cleanliness, perfect, and the bathroom has hand soap, shower gel/shampoo and conditioner. There is also a capsule coffee machine, kettle and refillable bottle of water in public areas. As a point of improvement I would suggest that, in case you do not change the towels (we leave them hanging with the intention that they are not changed), they are not folded and placed in the sink, since although it is more beautiful in the view, then we can not distinguish which belongs to whom.
- Bar and restaurant: Maybe because it was October, but we didn't have any wait and the staff was impeccable. Super good food and varied enough. The perfect cleaning on tables and chairs. I have seen hotels with more variety, but that the taste was simply "acceptable", and here I have eaten better than in many a la carte restaurants. Every day different dishes, with good taste, and desserts also very good and varied. My congratulations to the cooks. As for the drink, we had the premium IT and we did not miss anything, good brands and cocktails very well prepared to be an IT.
- Parking and distance to the beach: The hotel has limited free spaces (we had it the second day), but next door there is another public parking lot where we park without problem and in the street there is white area. I recommend the car to get around the island, but there is also a bus stop in front of the hotel, and the nearest beach is a 10 min walk (it is not very big but it is nice and has a bar). Next to the hotel there is a port full of bars and restaurants.
-Animation: There are games and activities throughout the day for adults and children, and evening show (great fun music contest). With the rest of the team we didn’t have the pleasure to coincide, but we got along very well with Borja.
We hope to repeat stay with you because we were at home.

The hotel is clean and the all inclusive food has enough variety with special themed food evenings. There is always the option of pasta & sauce and chips as a safe back up. The all inclusive drinks menu was varied and the pina colada cocktails were especially tasty.
The location of the hotel is right next to the marina port which has bars and restaurants, I’d recommend the steakhouse for good value food! There is also a bus stop straight outside of the hotel which is perfect for a day trip. There are local beaches near by but we didn’t bother staying at them as they didn’t appeal to us.
We stayed in room 304 which faced out towards the bottom pool and main walkway to the bar, unfortunately this meant that sitting outside on our balcony of an evening felt a bit awkward as people were constantly walking by and looking at us. We were also woken up most days at 7am by people gathering outside of our balcony and chatting. We also heard every flush that the room above made as it ran through our bathroom plumbing which was quite noisy too. On reflection we should’ve asked to move rooms after our first night as the location wasn’t ideal for us with not being able to use our balcony and the room itself being quite noisy.
Another negative which we found was the presence of flies at every meal time, every meal we found ourselves having to swat away and fight flies from landing on us, causing us to be on edge. Although this isn’t strictly the hotels fault, I think keeping the restaurants doors open to the outside for long periods during meal times doesn’t help the situation.
As a couple, this was a nice hotel to stay in, however I think it’s better suited to families.
