Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

I'll start this review by saying that just after booking this hotel without refund possible I got incredible anxious. It was our first time in Santorini, and I purchased our holidays without reading much. Then I thought this was a terrible mistake, everyone saying that Santorini is a terrible tourist trap. Also I was unsure of this hotel, but it was too late. However, once we arrived it was clear that Casa Vitae was really nice. The people working there were lovely, there was a small parking at the entrance and the swimming pool was super cool. We went to our room and it was huge, almost like an apartment. Our room in particular was on the second floor of one of the buildings and had two terrases, one towards the sea and the other towards the mountain and some vineyards and olive oils. It was actually the later that we enjoyed most. First it had a small jacuzzi to sit inside and enjoy some wine in the summer evening. The second was the view, so calming with the small vineyards and trees, and quite too! Decoration of the room was tasteful with quality wooden furniture, however it was sparse. Some side table lamps would have been ideal. Also, the third bed for our son was just a foldable bed, nothing really nice. There was a small but perfectly capable air conditioning, and the bathroom was correct, with a great assortment of soaps and shampoos renewed everyday. Windows are ample and of great quality, so the room never got really hot. On the negative side we realised that Casa Vitae is not that far from the airport, and you could hear the planes at insane rates specially on sunday evening, when all the weekend tourists were leaving. It was a bit annoying but closing the window just took most of the problem. The hotel itself does not have a restaurant, but they have a kitchen where they prepare breakfast everyday. You fill a small paper form with what you want and at white time, and they come to your room with everything prepared. It was just typical bufet quality, nothing spectacular except the fruit that sometimes was amazing. But the fact you get it at your room and you can sit outside in your own balcony was one of the best things. Felt like at home. The pool was fantastic with a mix of balinese beds and many loungers. Water was pristine and lovely. It was amazing to swim in the morning and before going for diner. The location of the hotel is a bit off, but that was actually the best part, specially if you have a car or bike. It truly felt like living on the country side, but you could easily walk to Kamari and all the shops and restaurants available. At night the roads were a bit dark but there is absolutely no sense of danger or anything like that. We had a car and the hotel was just perfect to discover the island and at the same time enjoy silence and the starry nights. It is an expensive hotel, everything is expensive in this island, but we left with a very good taste in our mouths. It was truly a great holiday. I think you might find better deals in other hotels, but chances are you will not enjoy as much in the crammed swimming pools enclosed by a wall and just in the middle of very trafficked streets. All in all we enjoyed Santorini a lot because we did not go to the obvious tourist traps like Oia and Fyra.

A wonderful quiet and peaceful hotel in Kamari. Dimitris and the team so helpful and friendly and nothing is a problem to them. The rooms are spacious and comfortable with a lovely waterfall shower. Breakfasts are served daily to your room, lunch on request at the pool is delivered to a high standard. Kamari is a 15 minute walk away to a large variety of restaurants and bars which are excellent and good value. It's a 5 min walk to the bus stop to get to Fira & Oia which are a must to visit. The airport is only 10 mins driveaway too.

After a disruptive first evening (not the fault of the hotel) we were moved to a different room, which was perfect, the problem was dealt with efficiently and from then a perfect holiday, Dimitris, Anna Maria, Gabriel and all other members of the team, were all very calm, with nothing too much trouble. Had a lovely massage with Ola and Veronica was very helpful with some gel for some bad Mossie bites. We went on a boat trip to volcano, hot springs, Thirassia, well worth doing, Fira, Ola, Imergovil, Firostefani all have perfect views and lovely restaurants. The pool at the suites was very relaxing, the food was good, cocktails quite expensive, recommendations for take away good. Bus stop about 5 minutes away and good and cheap bus service, thoroughly enjoyable trip, missing it already.

Nothing I can say that previous guests haven’t already said! The staff are amazing x very friendly and incredibly helpful, the accommodation is first class… very clean and very well looked after … it is so quiet at times you would think you were the only guests only to be told it is full! Loved the breakfast especially being served in the comfort of your own room and the location is perfect just a short walk from Kamari where there is plenty of choice for eating and drinking x

If you ever go to Santorini, Casa Vitae is a must. Not only the hotel is excellent but the service, OMG, it’s incredible. Casa Vitae has the best staff ever. I want to take all of them, Vernoika, Gabrielle, but specially Dimitris. All of them are the excepcional and the kindest persons I’ve ever met. Dimitris is very efficient and would make your stay even more enjoyable. You don’t have to worry about anything because he will take care of it. Hotel rooms and installations are impecable. Satisfaction guaranteed.

This hotel exceeded my expectations! The staff were so kind, helpful and some of the best people we met on the island. The rooms incredibly beautiful and equipped with everything you could need for your trip and if they didn’t have it in the room you could get it upon request (iron etc). The location is a 20 min walk to the waterfront and not far from all the best restaurants/spots in Kamari! The facilities (pool, bar, spa) were outstanding and exceptionally clean. Dimitris, Gabriel and the rest of the staff were so kind, When we come back to Santorini this is where we’re staying!
