Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.

This was a nice hotel but unfortunately the pool was in direct pathway for planes landing at airport. Planes constantly flying directly over pool all day until 2pm with wheels down! My daughter has restricted hearing and I am 76 - it was my birthday holiday. Unable to relax and found it very stressful as the planes were so low. Do not book this holiday if you’re going on holiday to relax!

This hotel was just what we needed! Beautiful and spotlessly clean. Lovely modern rooms. Right on the beach! The staff are all wonderful, and Kamari is the perfect location for restaurants, bars, and exploring the rest of Santorini. Kamari resort is literally 2 minute walk away and feels super safe even late at night. The bus routes are easy to navigate to explore the rest of the island. The hotel itself is of very high quality; with excellent service from all staff, beautifully comfortable sun beds, and seriously good food. We had B&B board which was perfect for us as we wanted to explore restaurants in Kamari, and the breakfast was substantial enough to keep us full most of the day. The breakfast is of a superior quality with lots of fresh choices which change every day. Lunch, snacks and dinner were quite expensive but worth it for the quality. The chips alone were a 10/10! The aeroplanes do come over quite low, but we found them intriguing during the daytime and loved looking up where they were coming from haha! We did find they woke us up every now and then when the first flights started coming in at 6:30am but we were also in the room block closest to the runway. We really noticed a noise difference in the two ends of the hotel, so if you’re a light sleeper, perhaps ask for a room nearer the reception. But it honestly won’t put us off from booking this hotel.

Fabulous stay at this great hotel.from checking in to checking out we had no complaints.we were celebrating a birthday /anniversary so on arrival we had champagne in the Fridge.Numerous pools with luxury loungers. Ramps allocated beside every step for easy access if needed. Excellent breakfast/lunch plenty of choice. Large portions good presentation. Very attentive staff.we didn’t have dinner at the hotel as the strip of bars and restaurants started at the end of our hotel which was very convenient! October is a perfect time as the season is coming to an end, so it was busy and the weather was perfect.front of house reception are extremely friendly and helpful. Would highly recommend this hotel. We’re going back next October.

Lovely hotel/resort on the volcanic beach on the southeastern part of the island of Santorini. The rooms were modern, clean, and comfortable. The staff was excellent and worked hard to ensure that the property was in order and that you were taken care of. There is a walking strip just south of the hotel with numerous restaurants and shops. The breakfast was reasonably high quality and varied. We enjoyed our stay very much. The major downside, in my opinion, is the location, close enough to the airport that landing planes fly directly over the resort and that you are on the opposite site of the island from the main tourist towns of Fria and Oia. They can be reached by bus (15 minute walk to bus stop) or taxi (starting at 35 Euros). All in all, I think it is a great place to base your vacation in Santorini.

What a beautiful hotel. Sparkling white an a staff that was so friendly. 6 swimming pools grace this property, which is right on the beach and at the walkway that leads to amazing restaurants and bars and lots of shops. Our room was very comfortable. The restaurant where we had breakfast every day was beautiful and looked out onto the beach. They had fantastic spread with everything you could imagine and all you can eat !!Beautiful big shower, the pillows and beds were great, the one thing that caught us off guard was we were adjacent to the airport so the planes flew over us literally all day long. After the first day you sort of get used to it because no one sleeps before midnight (last flight) but we were waking up at 6:30 for the first planes. Other than that beautiful and we would definitely go again.

A really lovely hotel, with lovely staff. Our room was huge, ground floor and out of the French window on onto the pool, of which there were lots, every area seemed to have its own pool and not small ones either. Then next was the beach, but unfortunately that wasn't anything to write home about. Stony, but they did put down wooden walkways. However swimming in the sea is difficult as there are many boulders and even with suitable footwear it is difficult getting in and out. It would be helpful if they could clear a channel. Anyway that's just a niggle. The food was good and there are an amazing number of restaurants (about a Km long) just outside the hotel. Other comments mention the aircraft. It wasn't a big deal as they are over quite quickly and the advantage is that you are not too far from the airport for arrival & departure. All in all can highly recommend. Thank you Costa Grand for a lovely weeks stay.

Such a lovely hotel! Very easy to get around the whole island from this hotel, it was our first time in Santorini and we thought it was the most perfect location! Friendly staff, very clean hotel and stunning views everywhere. Definitely recommend.

Amazing hotel but the airplanes flying overhead are VERY loud. The black beach is lovely and the beach chairs very comfy. Breakfast was delicious. The staff are very friendly and helpful, especially the consierge who helped us book a catamaran ride and sunset dinner in Fira. Kamari is a quick 15-20 min bus ride to Fira which was very convenient. The only downside was the noise from the planes flying overhead at all hours (we got a break from 2:00 AM to 5:00 AM).

A wonderful hotel in traditional Greek style but modern. Firstly if the occasional aircraft noise is going to be a problem don’t stay here. For us it was not a problem, infact we enjoyed watching the take offs/landing and download an app on the phone which gave us information on each plane. Our room (118) was ground floor and led out directly onto a small pool area and the beach just beyond. We never had issues finding sun lounges (very comfortable) and the area felt very boutique due to the hotel having 5 pools. Maid and serving staff excellent. Breakfast as some other reviews a little basic if you are used to large hotels with many more guests but for us ticked all the boxes. Can’t comment on half board as we were B&B but had lunch a few times at the bar and again excellent. Location made this hotel for us for a few reasons, on your doorstep you have shops, little supermarkets, cafes and many restaurants which all sell similar but very good food and reasonably priced. Easy access to Fira and oia by bus or as we preferred hired a car for 3 days. If you stay in Fira or Oia you won’t find a hotel like this as there everything is built into the mountain side, great for the view but don’t expect anything here to be cheap albeit a must do visit. 100% would come back to Costa Grand

Firstly I’d like to say that we did enjoy our stay in this hotel, im glad we only booked bed and breakfast as the food is not great, breakfast is served in a very small area where everyone bumps into each other, the breakfast choice is very limited, I think it’s the first hotel I’ve been in where there is no cook, so no fresh eggs, no omelette etc, however there was enough to fill you up, when we arrived they said we had been upgraded to there best room, don’t get me wrong the views out of the window right over the ocean were lovely however the room was extremely basic for what they call 5 star, my wife could hang some of her clothes up but all my clothes were hung over a chair for the week, the drinks in the hotel are quite expensive 15€ for an aparol spritz so we tended to drink outside the hotel, as I said we did enjoy the break but it’s way off a 5 star, we left there and went to the Mykonos Grand which is a real 5 star
