We booked a short 4 day trip to Santorini and stayed at the Costa Grand (bed and breakfast), the resort is really clean and well kept, our room was very clean, the beds were comfortable and the rainfall shower adequate, the room has a kettle with tea and coffee and complimentary bottle of water, there is shampoo, shower gel and soap in the bathroom along with towels, there are robes and slippers in the wardrobe, in a smaller cupboard is a digital safe. There is a small fridge in the room. The staff are really helpful and knowledgeable of the area and island. Our cleaner who looked after our room was so friendly and did a fabulous job. The breakfast was very good and catered for everyone, there was plenty of food, the staff in the restaurant were attentive and kept the area clean and tidy. The location is good and allows easy access to the beach front and restaurants/gift shops and is only about a 10 min walk from the bus top.
Things to note, the water in the taps is not drinkable (ok for showering and brushing teeth), bottled water in the shops is not expensive, neither is the beer 😏.
The only reason for not giving the location a rating of 5 is that it is located right under the approach to the airport, great if you are a plane spotter, you can wave at the passengers, thankfully the airport wasn’t too busy and we were out most of the time, I wouldn’t let this put you off visiting though and I would happily revisit the resort.
The resort does allow you to watch some beautiful sunrises!

Fantastic hotel, in a great location right on the beach. We stayed here for a week at the end of June, we had a fantastic time. The hotel & rooms are spotlessly clean, the pool areas are brilliant (7 pools) and the sunbeds are probably the comfortable we have ever used. You did have to either get your towels out early in the morning or late at night as they got reserved very quickly. There was one couple on holiday that had a reserved sign on two sunbeds, don’t know how you get this. Breakfast, was great, buffet style, they had everything bacon, sausages, eggs, cereal’s, fruit, this was run by a great & hard working lady & man (sorry I forgot there names) The rooms, comfortable bed, plenty of room & storage. TV with internet so you could watch YouTube videos, kettle with tea and coffee, great big shower, the lighting in the bathroom could be a little better (for shaving) or could do with one of those little shaving mirrors. We had a our own small patio area with a table and chairs outside (we had a ground floor room (524) all of the hotel buildings are 2 floor ( ground floor & 1st floor), we had a safe and a small fridge in the room & the air conditioning was excellent, and was well used as the weather was excellent and very hot. Our room was towards the back of the hotel room no 524 which I think was probably the quieter part of the hotel (not that it was noisy anywhere) if you go out of the hotel grounds between the bar and the restaurant area there’s an excellent shop where you can get water, beers & wines & anything else you may need. At the front of the hotel (on the beach) to the right is the resort of Kamari, where there is a long strip with 100 + restaurants and a few bars, pharmacy, a few little mini markets. This area is brilliant, you will not have a bad meal anywhere, everywhere we went the food was fantastic (I’ll review the restaurants we went to) The hotel is on the flight path to the airport so you will get low flying quite loud aircraft, which I thought it might put me off, but it didn’t at all this actually quite good looking at the planes coming in especially the private jets, don’t let it put you off, as you will miss a great hotel in a great location. If you go on the beach you will need sea shoes as the beach is quite stoney and sharp on your feet, everyone was wearing them. There is a bus stop in the town (kamari) this will take you anywhere on the island we went to Fira a couple of times and it only cost 1.60 euro each & we went to Oia you need to get the bus to Fira first and another bus to Oia which is another 1.60 euro each, the cheapest way to do it. This hotel is probably the best hotel in the area I would recommend staying here, we will definitely be coming back here to stay Thank you Costa Grand

This has perhaps been the cleanest hotel we've ever visited. Everything's spotless from rooms to the pool areas and restaurant. Staff was also both friendly and quick to react on any needs. Overall, this hotel provided perhaps the best overall holiday experience so far.
The location at the end of the Kamari beach strip has both up and downsides. While it's more calm than the more busy middle area, it's also located very close to the airport. Thus the landing planes create a stream of high noise during overpass - though this lasts only few seconds at a time. After getting used to it, spotting landing planes becomes a hobby while lying at the pool or beach.
Beach looks fantastic (and is very clean) but the shoreline is made of small stones and has a treacherous lava basin. So getting into the sea is a challenge of it's own. Swimming shoes and good balance highly recommended. A pier or a dock to the sea would remove the issue.
Breakfast was well catered and had small changes in the offering from day to another. Slight downside for us was the opening time (8:00) on our last day when we needed to leave early to the airport (pick up at 8:05). We managed to get special permit to start breakfast 7:45 but this ended up in a rushed last morning on otherwise perfect trip.
Restaurant's bar was also well equipped though the drinks seemed a bit pricey - though everything at Santorini is more costly than in other Greek locations. Again, staff and service was superb.

We had the most amazing honeymoon here 🩵 We chose the deluxe room with private pool, these are located right on the beach and perfect for our special get-away. We took a day boat trip to watch the sunset in Oia, which is a must!
Some other positves: *The hotel is in the perfect location -Kamari seems to be the more peaceful part of the island with only a short drive to any other parts of the island. It's also a 5 min walk from the strip of resteraunts, bars and shops along the coast *The hotel is modern and spotlessly clean *Food buffet was delicous with lots of variety *Staff are very friendly and attentive *There are 7 pools to choose from and beds are always a available *The hotel has its own beach area
We couldn't fault this hotel! People have mentioned the low flying planes overhead. The planes don't fly at unreasonable times and they are gone within seconds.

We travelled as two couples and thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this hotel. Firstly the Costa Grand is absolutely spotless, rooms were cleaned daily and all pool areas were jet washed every evening, staff are very friendly and they cannot do enough for you. I was initially disappointed that our room was at the back of the hotel, away from the beachfront, but it actually turned out to be a great place to stay - it was more peaceful than the main area with a small bar for breakfast, lunch and drinks until 7pm. Amalia looked after us very well at the bar, she was so friendly and helpful, always smiling. We did buy some food and drinks at the hotel bar but also bought bottles of water and beers from the supermarket and drank them around the pool too which saved us some money. Kamari itself is fabulous, loads of fantastic restaurants, tavernas and bars, we were really spoilt for choice - favourites were Alismari, Kings, Almira, Captains Corner and then Elias Grill for a Gyros. We got the bus to Fira for 1.60 euros which was worth a visit and also took a taxi to Oia and Imerovigli which was absolutely stunning (basically a smaller less busy version of Oia)

We stayed here by booking through Jet2. The hotel and facilities are excellent. All the staff are very friendly & hard working and the level of cleanliness is superior, with a good 30 mins each day spent on cleaning the room. Our room had everything we needed. We loved the fridge & kettle! Although it is very near the airport and on a flight path, we didn’t have an issue with this… enjoyed looking up on Flight-aware app , where all the planes were coming from! It was extremely quiet & peaceful in the evening & night ( we were not disturbed by the planes) The location is great to walk into Kamari, with lots of restaurants/ tavernas to chose from. The hotel is on the beach, although when we were there, it was quite breezy, so we didn’t make use of the hotel’s sun-loungers. All in all an excellent stay that lived up to our expectations.

The hotel was fantastic. Everything was clean and all the staff so friendly and cheerful. The overhead planes were never a problem and if anything fun to watch. Breakfast was a delight with so much fresh and varied food to choose from.
We were given fresh towels to use by the pool and the pool itself was so refreshing and clean.
The ‘strip’ along Kamari was lovely and relaxed during the day but personally we found the people trying to get you to eat at their restaurant a bit irritating but that’s the only slight negative I could raise.
Personally so glad we didn’t stay in Fira or Oia as they are so busy. A short twenty minute bus ride to Fira made the Caldera easily accessible and also easier to escape to the calmer Kamari.
We are normally hotel type people but would definitely recommend this hotel

Where to start with this amazing hotel! Despite arriving at 21.00 the greeting was as warm as the Santorini sun. We were welcomed & booked in & our package of bed & breakfast explained; a friendly gentleman then drove us & our luggage to our room, on the complex. Several stairs took us to where we’d be staying & entering was more than a pleasant surprise; as this holiday was a birthday gift for my sister, a bottle of bubbly & birthday greeting was waiting, along with tea & coffee making facilities, complimentary initial water (tap water is not for drinking on the complex) & quality bathroom supplies (soap, shampoo, body wash etc). The room was inviting, with twin beds, pushed together & patio doors out onto a balcony overlooking the pool. Opposite the balcony, on the ground floor was where breakfast was served each morning; a buffet style with every imaginable breakfast food on offer incl. full English, cereal, continental, fruit, breads, along with coffee, tea & fruit juices, all freshly made each day. An approximate 15 minutes from the hotel is Kamari, with an abundance of restaurants & eateries, souvenir shops (selling clothing, bags etc), as well as a pharmacy, supermarket & selection of other shops. At the top of a gentle hill is the main bus stop to Fira, the main town on the island & a 15-20 minute bus ride will take you to town full of enchanting cobbled streets packed with shops of all descriptions; also from Fira you can travel to other parts of Santorini. The hotel has been an amazing base to enjoy a wonderful relaxing holiday & I highly recommend it as a place to consider if you’re looking to visit this beautiful island. Thank you Cost Grand Resort & Spa for a brilliant experience ❤️

We came back from here last week. Me and my friend stayed for 7 nights. All in all it was amazing but i would say the hotel is overpriced. It is stunning and super clean however the breakfast was really not great, didn't taste nice and very small selection, also food in the hotel was ridiculously dear so avoid and go out into kamari. Cocktails were 15 euros each, a salad was 22 euro and a can coke was 4 euros!!! for two lunches our bill would be around 80 euros so we would try to avoid this. Staff were really helpful especially Georgia who was more than happy to help us book trips and took us through all of them. We booked the catamaran which was amazing i highly recommend. As you arrive they are very welcoming they give you a map of the island and explain where everything is which is super helpful! Our room was stunning we paid for sea view and had a gorgeous view of sunrise and sunset every day. There was 8 pools i think in the hotel but these are all fairly small and if you don't get up early you will struggle for a sunbed as people reserve them and don't actually sit on them which can be frustrating. Apart from that amazing holiday thank you x

Very nice hotel, staff is very friendly and helpful. Fresh towels for the pool every day. The room was cleaned every day and if there was a problem they came to solve it immediately (after a power failure the emergency lighting did not go off). Restaurant and bar are fine. A la carte or buffet and the breakfast is also very extensive. Georgia, who is in the hall, is top notch. If you want to rent a car, reserve a table to see the sunset, she will arrange it for you. We had a great time and will definitely come back.

Breakfast was perfect, but we decided to explore Santorini visiting other restaurants. If you have a car you can go visiting Metaxi Mas next to the church. Best food for not so expensive.
There are more places to choose from in the Kamari area.
