We had the most fantastic trip and Hotel Sunshine played a large part. Everything about this place is great, from the concierge to the waitstaff, bartenders and daily maid service. Everyone was warm, welcoming and friendly. Our room was comfortable, impeccably clean and had a beautiful view. The breakfast each morning was more than well appointed and the beach just out the front door was perfect. Our concierge was so helpful with any questions we had and all of his recommendations were on point.Nothing but praise for this place!

Dimitris (hotel manger) and staff were amazing and friendly. Dimitris went above and beyond for us. The staff were extremely helpful with setting up the airport shuttle too. The rooms are small but very nice. Breakfast was self serve and plenty of food. Overall a great hotel to stay in Kamari with beach access, close to shopping and amenties,

We stayed at the Hotel Sunshine from the 7th October for 7 days. We were met at the hotel by Dimitris (The Hotel Manager) a very courteous person who created a WOW factor straight away. He checked us in quickly and brought our bags to our room. We stayed in Room 301 which was poolside and a beautiful en-suite bedroom. Breakfast was self-service with plenty of choice. Graziela was on hand at breakfast for any additional needs. She is a lovely and cheerful young lady. Nicholas one of the Restaurant Managers was very welcoming as were all the staff at Hotel Sunshine. One and all created what I would call a "Customer Delight" experience. In other words doing things beyond a customer's expectations. Many thanks to you Dimitris and to all your team for making our holiday a truly memorable one. 10/10

I will keep this short but this hotel is brilliant, it's by far one of the cleanest and well kept hotels I've been in. The rooms are basic but very nice (at least our one was). The breakfast is very nice. The bar and restaurant prices are about the same as all the other local bars and restaurants. The one thing that really makes this hotel great is the staff - they are really friendly and really helpful. Haven't got a bad word to say about this hotel. Would 100% stay here again.

Hotel Sunshine was a dream come through accommodation in Santorini Greece. From the moment we stepped in till we left it felt so much like home, the warm reception from the manager and the day receptionist on duty, to the hotel ambience and cleanliness to the beautiful sight of the sea just opposite the hotel to the lovely and impeccable room arrangement and a lovely swimming pool behind sorry I missed a luxury of well cautious English speaking, ever smiling ready to help staffs. *blows kisses muah*. I enjoyed my stay with my friend I went with and I will be back I could keep documenting my Santorini stay because it was such an amazing stay, I duff my hat.

Sunshine Hotel, sorry it's taken me a little while to pen my review, the washing and getting back to real life delayed me getting started. Let me start with the housekeeping bits. Hotel ideally located opposite the beach, at the far end of the resort of Kamari (furthest point from the airport, we did our research before, as we were worried about being so close to the airport which is on the east side and just 5km from the hotel.) Though we saw the planes coming in, they were sporadic and the airplane noise was not intrusive and by day 2 it became part of the holiday watching them come in and working out who airline was and where they came from, while sipping our G&T or wine at the beachside bar On the beach side of the road Psatha (hotel restaurant) is located, with the tables on a platform which hang over the beach with beautiful views of the beach, the cliff jutting into the sea at the far end of the beach and usually an amazing moon each evening. There is a small road between the front of the hotel and the beach which is mainly pedestrian and generally only used by cars/vans for delivery of hotel supplies. Your taxi or airport transfers will drop you at the bakery around the corner from the hotel and you walk the last few meters as they are not allowed drive down the pedestrian road. The hotel provides a breakfast buffet each morning - probably one of the best we've had with a variety of hot and cold - from boiled, fried scramble eggs, bacon, sausages, sausage rolls, pancakes, to cold cuts, salami, cheese, fruit, yogurt, an array of small delicious pastries, as well as a selection of breads and cereals. My husband and cousins were having a 3 course breakfast by the time we got to the end of the first 5 days. It was so plentiful, and great quality. We stopped having lunch after day 2 the breakfast was so good. The hotel is simply, but tastefully decorated and spotlessly clean. White walls and good furniture. We had a standard double bedroom and ensuite bathroom, with a Juliette balcony, unfortunately just a view of the side wall of the hotel next door, but apart from sleeping and showering we spent little time in the room and so a view was not necessary. Though there are beach front view rooms and pool view rooms available but they are at a premium cost. Our room had a safe for passports and money, and the all important aircon, which was lovely, especially when the room got a little hot sometimes during the night. And the wifi was pretty decent, as I had to work on my laptop on few days during my holiday and it worked perfectly. Bathroom was good with a decent shower. The rooms were expertly cleaned everyday by Elpidia, sheets and towels changed every two days. I'm a fussy bed person, as I have an iffy back and really bad neck and this was the best mattress/bed I've ever slept on outside of my own home so, so comfortable, and the pillows (I had contemplated bringing my own, I'm that bad) were great too, that I didn't have a problem for the whole time we were there. So the beds / pillows get a huge thumps up from me. We spent little time at the pool which is located at the back of the hotel, preferring the beach, it was a little noisy from the street below which had some traffic deliveries etc, especially during the mornings, but it's a lovely pool area with a poolside bar open every day from around 2pm for drinks and snacks. Hotel guests have access to beach beds on the portion of the beach located in front of the hotel at no extra charge. All they ask is that you order your drinks and any snacks from Johnny (Ioannis!) who very capably oversees the beach beds and refreshments for the hotel/guests. The hotel bar is located at the front of the hotel with some alcoves, and tables positioned around it. But late evening we mostly sat in the restaurant area over looking the sea, watching the few planes come in and playing RummiKub. Psatha the hotel restaurant was really excellent, the menu selections and quality was above par and having tried a number of the other restaurants in the resort our party of 4 agreed that it, and the Poseidon, the restaurant next door were in our collective opinion two of the best, so the second week of our holiday we pretty much alternated between the two, while we worked our way through the menu. Now to the best bit - the staff: 10 stars - Dimitris, the hotel manager and (gorgeous) Eva at Reception - they were wonderful, friendly, nothing was too much trouble, every question answered, every request actioned. Helpful and kind Graziella at Breakfast , Elpedia who cleaned our room so well every day, always had a smile on her face and a friendly hello, Johnny (ioannes) who looked after the beach beds and drinks from early morning to late evening - always laughing and smiling. George and Elli who managed the bar, friendly and efficient, the Restaurant gang (waiters etc), who made us laugh every day while providing an efficient and friendly service whether we were there for coffee, drinks or dinner- Nicholas (who oversaw the restaurant), Homerus, Sperios, Savas and Costas. These are the team who turned a good holiday into a 5* experience. A fantastic hotel, in a wonderful location, with a great team making sure we had a holiday to remember. Thank you - we will be back next year. Fearga, Graham, Roland & Barbara Sept 23.

What can I say with this hotel - it’s the second time I have stayed here and Dimitris and staff did not disappoint. From the begging of the holiday to the end - I did not want it to end. Both my friend and I are finding it hard to adjust back to being home. Nothing was too much trouble for the staff. The room was lovely and was cleaned every day - we even got spoilt with things made out of our towels. The pool wasn’t used much whilst we were there but it was like our own private pool. The staff are available for questions and queries on places to visit etc. When we left Kamari - we left a piece of us there. Will definitely be back

My husband and I have just returned from the Hotel Sunshine in Kamari, Santorini, to celebrate a Golden Wedding Anniversary. A fabulous hotel in a wonderful location with a beach opposite and also a great pool area behind the hotel. Breakfast was more than adequate with plenty seating area. The on site restaurant was one of the best in Kamari with a 10% discount granted for hotel residents. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful and the hotel itself was immaculate in all areas. All in all a fantastic hotel in a wonderful location. We would definitely give the Hotel Sunshine a 5* recommendation.
