What can I say? We loved it here!!

We have just come back from a 5 night stay, B&B and it was exactly what we wanted and was expecting. The hotel is beautiful. We had a sea view room looking out over the pool, across to the sea. The sound of the waves were amazing each morning. Some rooms overlook a beautiful courtyard with chairs and table to relax.
All the staff were extremely friendly and exceptionally hard working
The pool area is well maintained, although I’m glad we came this year when things are a little quieter as I am sure they would normally run out of sun loungers very quickly. There is always the free loungers on the beach, but we didn’t experience these.

The pool bar is a little confusing, but I think that is more to do with COVID precautions. No drinks menus are put out and the bar staff don’t tend to come and serve you (sometimes they did sometimes they didn’t). We went up to get our drinks but were then told they would bring them over.

The breakfast was fab, lots of choice and all served for you. All staff were wearing gloves and masks.

There is no entertainment, but we weren’t expecting any, it was nice to relax in the bar area at night just for drinks. There is a gym and pool tables. The hotel is situated in the quieter area of Kamari Beach, close to Mount Mesa Vouno, but the walk up the promenade only takes a few minutes to get to the livelier restaurants and bars.

Kamari itself is amazing, we enjoyed everything about this resort. Worth getting up early for the sunrise and walking along the promenade when hardly anything is open, just to get coffee from the local bakery. Also a trip up the Mount is a must for the view - we carried on down in to Perissa to have a look around. I can safely say we think Kamari is the better resort.

I highly recommend this hotel, especially for couples who want the vibe of a resort without it being too vibrant. I can’t wait to come back!!

Have honestly have to say this hotel has the most friendly helpful staff we have been to. It is set right on the sea front and you have access to free sunbeds and parasols on the beach. Beach is black volcanic stone and shingle, so beach shoes are a must! Sea was very cold but early in the season I guess. The pool area is lovely, comfortable sun loungers with no need to reserve, a bar serving food and drink all day. A games room with free pool table and board games. A gym (can't review that didt use). The small dining area inside and out is lovely, overlooking the bay. The food (half board) is tasty with a small but varied selection both a breakfast and dinner. We had a family room overlooking a courtyard, this room had a mezzanine with a giant double he'd, and our boys had 2 singles on the lower floor. Air con was needed as it did get warm during the evening. Room was cleaned, beds changed, towels replaced daily. We hired pool towels at 5 euro per towel deposit which is returned at end of holiday. Kamari itself is lively, the promenade has many bars and restaurants serving traditional Greek fayre and although slightly more expensive than spainish resorts we found prices not too bad. (Big beer at 4.50euro, gyros with chicken 3.50euro. Supermarkets are dotted about and again good prices. We bought water at 80cents and can of beers at 1.20 euros. There are bars showing football if wanted (Irish bar showed fa cup final). Taxi prices are expensive, to goto the next resort you are looking at 35euro one way. But, the local bus service is very efficient (2.40euro) we got the bus to Fira to see views, then another bus down to parissa and pavalis. From kamari to fira takes 25 mins. We also went to the kamari open air cinema which was excellent. 10euro per person but well worth the experience. We went to santorini for a wedding, and a small vacation, but will certainly return to explore more and would not hesitate to return to kamari beach hotel. Big thanks to the manager who even comes round to talk to guests! Thank you@

I wasn’t knowledgeable about the Kamari Beach area when my hotel was changed by my tour company 3 days prior to travel commencing. Turns out this was a mostly pleasant surprise. I will get the negatives out of the way first. The Bathroom in the room had zero counter space for toiletries, and this is a big deal with my husband. The size of the bathroom was roughly equivalent to a cruise ship, but the shower had no curtain of any kind and even while being careful, I managed to get water throughout the bathroom. The overall room size was adequate.
The Hotel was on the beach. While the black sand and rock beach closest to the Hotel was pretty, it was not the tropical soft sand you would like to walk for miles on. We did spend a wonderful day at the hotel’s Pool and enjoyed the service and atmosphere of this beautiful pool area very much. The promenade area (along the beach) went for quite a distance with many shops, bars, and restaurants to enjoy. Very fun to walk during the evening.
The Bus stop to go to Fira was only a 1–2-minute walk from the hotel and very economical at E1.60 per person one way. The Fira bus station is the gateway to Oia, the Akrotiri area, and the airport. We were in a rush to get to Oia for a sunset viewing and chose a taxi that ran E30.00 for 2 persons, but as I said, we were in a hurry and willing to splurge on this occasion. Both Fira and Oia were must see’s and unique in their own ways. Certainly, more shopping than I would care for, but that was the highlight for my husband.

This hotel lies alongside the Kamari Beach and sea. Excellent location, but this means also some noise reaching seaside rooms. Our room was ample with unobstructed sea view and effective air conditioning. However, its furniture needs renovation desperately. Daily cleaning could not have been better. Buildings outside are well maintained. The bath room was adequate by size but the shower curtain allowed water to splash resulting flooding floor. Most essential blame is breakfast service: due to management overreacting the breakfast buffet was replaced with a ridiculous service arrangement. You have queue tens of minutes to get breakfast at worst! If you want a hasslefree breakfast, choose another hotel until Kamari Beach has stopped panicking with corona. However, the friendly staff did its best. Amount of English tv channels is very limited.

If you arrive with rental car, there is a small and free parking lot at hotel's backyard. There are several groceries nearby. Erotokritos bakery at the bus stop is excellent although its coffee quality varied a lot.

What a fabulous location and such helpful staff. What awful food and, as it celebrates its 50th year, in desperate need of modernisation! Fine if you don't mind chasing the showerhead around the tiny bath (if you're lucky) like a rat in a barrel whilst flushing the ants and other creepy crawlies down the plug hole! Not suitable for those with disabilities or unable to squeeze themselves onto a balcony like a contortionist. Sea/Pool view a must in this respect. DON'T even contemplate half-board, complete waste of money, dozens of great restaurants, particularly the Captains Table just up the hill. It's worth repeating that this hotel is all about location, location, location, and the staff.

My husband and I have just returned from a fabulous holiday at this wonderful hotel.
After reading some of the reviews we were a little apprehensive but needn’t have been. There is an excellent pool with sun loungers/shower and pool side bar, which was kept clean every day and the service from the waiters was excellent. It was the envy of many passers by, who came up for their instagram photos! Our room had a very large double bed, free air conditioning and safe ( bonus). The bathroom was a decent size with daily towel change and cleaning ( I must admit the shower curtain did stick to you whilst showering). Beach towels were supplied at a cost of 5 euros - refundable (another bonus). Mr John, the beach attendant, was friendly and polite and would kindly deliver any drinks and snacks you requested. The bar staff Jimmy, George, Bill, Margarita etc also very professional, only the supervisor looked grumpy.
Prices at the bar also very reasonable. Reception staff, friendly, polite and knowledgeable. Overall an excellent holiday and we would return.

We stayed at the Kamari Beach Hotel for 2 weeks in August 2022, having last visited in June 2018.
Staff working on the reception were exceptionally friendly, professional and helpful, as were all other members of staff.
All staff were well trained and there was an obvious team ethic to ensure guests had an enjoyable holiday (an ethic which was fulfilled).
The hotel was previously excellent and has been further improved since our last visit.
Bedrooms, including bathrooms, have been redecorated with improved showers and updated hairdryers. Each bedroom now has an easy to use digital safe (a daily fee was previously required to use older key operated safes, but the fee has now been removed since our last stay).
There was much improved and enhanced free Wi-Fi throughout the hotel (now equivalent to 5G data).
In conclusion, I highly recommend the Kamari Beach Hotel.

My wife and I have just returned from a lovely 7 night stay at the Kamari Beach Hotel. Whilst out room was very basic ( what we booked) it was very clean with a large comfortable double bed. Nice shower though bath a bit on the small side which wasn’t an issue. Room had free AC and a safe. Room service was provided daily with towels being replaced should you chose to do so. Beach towels were also provided and could be exchange for clean ones whenever you wished. A €5 deposit was required. Breakfast was a simple buffet style with choice of continental or cooked which was of a good standard.
This hotel is classed perfectly by Jet2 and prices accordingly. If you are looking for top end luxury then this is not the hotel for you.
The staff at this hotel especially around the pool and beach area were very attentive and always polite and friendly. A real asset to the hotel.
Only negative was that even though the hotel requested that sun beds by the pool were not reserved this was totally ignored and most beds taken by 7.30am. Hence reason for only awarding 4 starts. However getting beds on the beach was never a problem. One word of warning getting in and out of the sea can be very tricky as it is a stone / rock bed which is extremely slippery. Investing in a pair of beach shoes highly recommended.
Should we return again to Santorini and Kamari we would most definitely use this hotel again.

Yes only rated 3 star but it was really good!
We stayed only a week B/B plenty of restaurants along the strip.
Bathroom was run down needs upgrading, breakfast was more than amble for our needs, service on beach was good even though the staff around the pool bar and beach were slightly laid back but it suited me as when I arrived each time they knew exactly what I wanted the reception staff very welcoming very attentive and smiles all day long, the restaurant staff very accommodating and attentive to our needs, the pool was over dosed with chlorine and cold but what pool is ever heated?
Your definitely paying for location on the beach and view from pool area, found the area like a building site on the beach needs a good tidy up, the only let down I can say is checkout was for us at 11am but out flight wasn’t till 9.20pm I asked 3 days earlier for a day extra on our room which they wouldn’t grant till the actual day which I’m assuming just in case they had a late booking or a walk-in so on the day they very pleasantly turned us down,I know this for next time book an extra day!!
Would I go again dam right I would,English people always want 5 star at 3 star prices, it’s not the hotels fault everyone is taking there cut, plane ride transfers etc.
oh yes one other thing the “Chinese masseuses” that invade the beach, there not trained and will touch you to get your interest,it’s persistent all day, and is a complete rip off…. you’ve been warned!! Enjoy.

Great location near beach and all restaurants on promenade
Reception staff very helpful
Great pool and beach bar
Shingle beach so difficult to access
Rooms basic and showers are so small and so expect to get attacked by shower curtain
Towels on beds fight each day I hated as not enough beds nor brollies round pool and beach and hotel doesn’t care.
Pool bar but staff lazy and service slow unless you want to tip them.
They dont want to clear plates or cups unless you ask.
Breakfast is average and samey
Marked as average as for the price you expected better.
