We were made to feel so welcome from the moment we arrived. Mantha ran us through all the covid precautions which was very reassuring. We had a peaceful room with a courtyard garden and pomegranate tree which was beautifully cool, private and spotlessly clean. The pool was immaculate with spectacular views of the mountains and Antiant Thera. We were half board and could choose to have it as lunch or at dinner, the food was made with love and care. The breakfast had the most wonderful yoghurt and fresh fruit. Vasilis looked after us and the kids around the pool and made the best frappe coffee and cocktails to help cool us down and always supplied us with great facts, music and magic tricks!

The island of Santorini is spectacular and we had lots of wonderful recommendations for places to visit from Mantha & Vasilis that really enhanced our stay.
However the highlight of our trip was the warmth, love and care that Mantha and all the team at Black Sands gave us. Mantha made our stay so easy and comfortable and couldn't have been more helpful. We were made to feel like family. We are so glad that we went ahead with our holiday despite covid, we felt welcome and safe throughout our trip. We couldn't have stayed at a better place. Thank you Black Sands, we hope to see you again.

We stayed here from 17th until 24th June
Well upon arrival at probably 2am until the moment we left at 22.00 on Thursday evening all I can say is wow....what a place
Mantha runs a very efficient ship here and is so hospitable its unreal...
Always time for a chat and very informative whilst Raid in the bar is again very friendly, engaging and all round nice guy who again will help you out with anything you need
The rooms are fabulous, clean and all have AC we stayed in room 108 and the concrete furnishings especially the shower are really cleverly designed
The food offered on site is delightful and to be fair probably as good or if not better than some beachside restaurants in my opinion
The bar is nice and covered from the sun whilst the pool is crystal clear with around 16 beds surrounding it and towels are provided by mantha as and when you require just ask as nothings too much trouble
The views are stunning around the area with mountainous scenery, winding roads etc
Your only a couple of kms from the airport and you can see aeroplanes on their final descent to land which is quite good as there quite close when they fly past and too be honest you dont really hear them after a couple have flown by
Getting around is great too as the buses are only a short 2 minute walk away and all buses go to fira and you change there for anywhere on the island for minimal fares
Overall this is a very good base for anybody and quite possibly the best b&b I've stayed in abroad as I said before all staff provide a great service and to be honest I don't think you could have anything to be critical about
These are my opinions and I will definitely be staying again
Thank you Mantha and Raid for a great holiday

We travelled on the 9th September and stayed for two weeks, we were greeted at about midnight and taken to our room, and given a bottle of water. The lounge was big with a kitchen/dining room and then bathroom and the bedroom, we had a balcony facing the front of the hotel. There was air in the lounge and bedroom, we stayed in room 118 and the only downfall was the beds, every time you moved they made a noise, the Wi-Fi was also not great, didn’t work at all in our room. The room was perfect for what you use it for, cleaned daily and one of the hottest showers we have ever had. There is a safe that’s kept in the main office. The hotel is situated so close to the beach, shops/restaurants. In the two weeks we never had a bad meal just amazing food and average around 40 euros for a meal with wine, really reasonable prices. We took the bus to Oia, so easy to do, Mantha will tell you where the bus stop is, it was really cheap and so easy to do. We always go all inclusive and this definitely converted us. The pool was lovely we sat by this every day, it’s not particularly warm but so refreshing. The weather was beautiful, although started to turn slightly in the evenings. There is a bar that does food and drinks so you don’t have to leave, although the patisserie down the road is amazing.
Would definitely return, staff are so friendly, accommodating.

From the moment we arrived (around 12.30am) we felt so welcomed and knew instantly the hotel we picked would be a good choice. Mantha was so lovely, caring and couldn't do enough for you. Always so bright and cheery when she saw you. Anything you needed to know about the island she was willing to help with so much knowledge, nothing was too much trouble for her. The rest of the staff were friendly and helpful also.
Our room was big and spacious, some may say a little dated but it didn't bother us whatsoever, it added to the character if anything. Our balcony faced the road, and although was noisy during the day the sun it attracted was amazing. The pool area and full hotel in general was spotless during the whole of our stay.
Food and drink at the pool bar were reasonably priced and all of the food (generally just lunch) we had was spot on!
If I were ever to go back to this beautiful island, I would 100% book back here without hesitation! Keep up the good work Mantha and team and thank you for a lovely stay 😊

Wonderful stay at Black Sands. We loved it as it’s small and friendly with a personal feel to it. We had a standard apartment which was very clean and well equipped. Comfortable bed and a lovely balcony. The hotel is situated within walking distance of the beach which has numerous restaurants to choose from. A short walk to the bus station and also the open air cinema.

The pool area is small but very well maintained and we never had any difficulty in finding a sun lounger.

Breakfast was simple but with good choices. The hotel also has a bar menu where the food is reasonably priced and very good value for money.

We have to give a huge shout out for the manager Mantha, who went out of her way to make our holiday so special. Nothing is too much trouble for her and she is so lovely, warm and welcoming. We couldn’t fault any of the staff here.

All and all we had a lovely time here and would 100% select this hotel if we return to Kamari. Very highly recommended.

The hotel was lovely and clean. All of the staff was so welcoming, polite and friendly. I was worried about being on my own but it was not a problem at all because I was made to feel so much at home, the food at the pool bar is really good, so try it if you go. I'd say the breakfast is worth it as it's much cheaper than eating out in the English sports bar which is named "Irish Pub" there is variety and choice with the breakfast buffet. I was also worried about the comfort of the mattresses as I have a specialised one at home but I had absolutely no problems with my back sleeping on it, they seem to change over the mattresses and do something with the mattresses after each check out. The apartments are so safe, I slept really well here. I honestly don't believe I could have had a better host than Mantha and her husband, I can't thank them enough for how friendly and helpful they was, it was beyond anything I would have ever expected. There is a small library in a book case, guests can put books in and take them out, there is a board game or two to borrow in the reception, all the information you need about trips are at the hotel. There is a free safety deposit box, I used it but I don't feel like I needed to as it was so safe there, the hotel itself was quiet and relaxing. The greenery and flowers at the hotel are really nice also there is free WiFi throughout the whole hotel and this is very easy to connect to. There is a "Big discount supermarket" but also a local shop just before there and a cheaper shop not far from the bus stop. Mantha will help you with what there is to do there and how to go about doing it, the local buses range from 1.60-1.80€ so it's very cheap.

I would most definitely stay here again if I travel to Santorini, I don't believe that I would get a better experience elsewhere and the views are fantastic.

We stayed for a short 3 days in Santorini, which meant a lot of running around to do all the must see things (and there sure are many), and it was lovely that every evening and/or night we could come back to a quiet, relaxing accommodation like Black Sand apartments. The apartments are literally 100 meters away from a bus station that takes you to Fira (the center of the island) so transportation is no issue.

The apartments themselves are lovely. They are very cozy, and extraordinarily clean. The precautions taken by the management is lovely and really makes you feel safe and secure during these tough times. And lastly, I cannot forget the wondeful shower and the calm and cozy balcony!

The pool is a great place to kick back and relax, with wonderful service as well. The mojito and caipirinha we enjoyed with a view of Ancient Thera is lovely.

As for the host, Mantha, I simply do not have enough words. She is so passionate about being hospitable, friendly, and accommodating to everyone. She really is the definition of "Greek hospitality." She recommended places to visit around Kamari and Santorini in general, was always on standby for any question or concern we might have, and overall made it difficult of us to leave her warm, cozy hospitality!

We had the most amazing stay here at black sands apartments. Manthas husband was there to greet us at 4am after we got delayed and even gave us a bottle of big water, which was needed. Mantha and all the other staff were amazing, could no fault this place at all. In a prefect location, the beach is only a few mins walk away so are the shops and restaurants and the bus stop as well. The pool bar had a great selection of food and drinks. We will definitely be back again :)

An absolute gem of a place here in Kamari, Santorini.
The apartments are lovely and clean.
A great location to stay and to explore the entire Island
The pool is wonderful as is the bar!
Mantha who runs the place is wonderful, so cheerful, always around and will do anything for any of her guests.
Laed who manages the bar is a lovely guy, forever smiling, forever making sure that all of the poolside guests have everything they need for their stay too.
It was a real pleasure staying here at Black Sand

I don't want to sound dramatic, but Black Sand has to be one of the nicest places i've stayed in over 30 years of travelling abroad. Mantha & all of the staff are wonderfully friendly and helpful - incredibly knowledgeable. The place is just a hidden treasure, rooms are beautiful, cleaned every day, air con and really spacious. Our bathroom (110) was amazing! themed on Atlantis, so creative and different. We were right next to the pool (relaxing quiet area) which was also fantastic, sunbeds were perfect and you could always get one. The pool bar serves lovely local dishes which were very very good and well priced, as were the drinks. Lots of shops & restaurants nearby too and the most amazing bakery! What I will comment on is that every single guest there was polite and acknowledged each other at breakfast etc each morn. Having done AI hols for a number of years with young children this was refreshing and has rekindled my desire to go to smaller places. I loved it, and if I am lucky enough to go back to Santorini it will be the first place I try, The other (more photographed) resorts were lovely but far too busy for me, give me Kamari every time!
