Just home from the beautiful island of Santorini where we stayed in the seaside village of Kamari. Our hotel, Kalya Suites was absolutely perfect for us…….very clean, comfortable and simply styled (12 rooms) intimate with amazing and helpful staff; Pedro, Gem, Dmitri and the owners, Savvas and his wife couldn’t have been any kinder, and really gave this lovely hotel a home from home feeling. The breakfast on the balcony was a particularly lovely start to each day, the poolside bar served up yummy cocktails and snacks plus the beach and a great variety of restaurants and bars were literally a two minute walk away. We did the catamaran sunset cruise and hired a car to visit Oia and Fira and loved it all. Kalya Suites was just a lovely place to relax or as a base to explore. We honestly had the best time here and will hopefully see you next year, Thankyou from Lynda and Andrew 🏴 xx …

We returned yesterday after spending a repeat week at Kalya Suites ( something we don’t normally do) and again , everything was perfect. Savvas , Bobbi , Antony and all the other staff ( whose names I didn’t get , apologies) were fabulous, friendly and welcoming The hotels standards are exactly the same - clean, modern and simplistic in design and there is nothing you could wish more for. Breakfast choices, which are selected the previous day, are delivered to your balcony with a smile. Location is 30 metres from bars and restaurants, although the bar at Kalya has enough choice to keep you satisfied. Great choice as either a destination hotel or somewhere to visit for a couple of nights if your touring the island, depending on your preference. I cannot comprehend why this place has 5-star TripAdvisor reviews?! Are they by people with extremely low standards? The superior family room was quite large and decorated nicely enough. There were slippers provided but no robes as advertised. Not a big deal. What massively reduced the quality of my stay and overall comfort was the gross bathroom. The bathroom is a total horror show! Simply does not match the standard of the room itself which clearly has been renovated recently and looks fresh and clean. The bathroom ruined my stay. It’s so tiny and the layout is so badly thought out. The toilet is right next to the shower which is decorated in very hard to clean pebble style tiling which look so gross. The shower curtain is not long enough which means inevitable flooding. The worst thing is that when you step out of the shower you almost bump into the toilet or worse, the bin which is supposed to contain soiled toilet paper (as you apparently STILL can’t flush toilet paper down the loo in Greece after all these years of EU investment and funds)! How are you supposed to feel anything other than gross after a shower in a bathroom of this poor layout and dated style? The breakfast was ok-ish. Nothing to write home about. I stayed in 2 other hotels in my stay in Santorini and their breakfasts were far far superior in terms of options and freshness and overall quality. The “hotel” has a very motel feel about it. It is on the flight path so quite noisy. If you’re a plane spotter, it’s interesting. Also convenient for the airport if you have an early flight. The pool is fine. The hot tub was fine. The staff are friendly and helpful with carrying bags and booking airport transfers. The beach and the main strip of bars and restaurants is just a minute away so if that’s what you’re looking for, it’s super convenient. I really wanted to give it a better review because I want to support small businesses. Please update your bathrooms to secure better reviews and presumably pricing. The rooms are large enough to compromise some of the size to accommodate a bathroom extension.…

Lovely location friendly & very helpful staff Mariah Roxana pedro & another two gentleman who were excellent as well ! Very spacious room ! Two minutes from the beach & to the restraints & bars, only one fault is there seemed to be visitors who were not residents who thought nothing of using the sun beds ? I know my family visited but in main it was before we went out for evening meals ! But on the whole a lovely stay & have recommended this location to my friends ! Thank you for a great experience.

Five stars is the less I can do! When you think about the word hospitality not nowadays but literally I think of my experience at kalya suites in Santorini!! Everything was beyond wonderful from the accommodation to the staff and etc. Savvas was very kind and accommodating trying to help us to make a nice tour at the island and highlighted us some spots ! The room from very comfortable and the bed mattress like sleeping in clouds comfy asf ! When I come back I will truly book there again !! Special thanks to the whole staff for the amazing kindness and professionalism !

I travelled here with my husband and two young children and stayed in the family suite. I couldn’t have been happier with our choice of hotel for our stay in Santorini. The breakfast being delivered to the balcony takes away all the stress of dragging a toddler to a breakfast buffet every morning. The rooms are spotless and cleaned daily. The staff are fantastic and nothing is too much trouble. Just returned from a weeks stay at Kalya Suites. There was myself and 2 other friends. We stayed in a beautiful, clean, spacious duplex suite which would accommodate up to 4 adults overlooking the pool. Absolutely stunning property with a beautiful breakfast served on your balcony/terrace. Kalya Suites have 12 in total so a lovely quiet intimate feel. Location could not be better. 2 mins walk (not even) to the beach with plenty bars and restraints to choose from. This really is a hidden treasure but what makes this a really great and fun place to stay is Savvas, Maria and all his wonderful staff. They made our stay so very memorable. Cant recommend highly enough. You wont be disappointed.

I’ve just returned from a 7 night stay at Kalya Suites with 2 girl friends. We stayed in a duplex suite that had twin beds and a mezzanine level floor with a super king bed. The room had a good sized balcony (ours overlooked the pool ) a lovely shower with toiletries, a fridge with soft drinks, water and beers, a selection of snacks, kettle with tea and coffee, hair dryer, bath robes, slippers and pool towels, very efficient air con and a flat screen tv. Everything was beautifully elegant, tastefully decorated and spotlessly clean but the best thing that makes it worth every penny is the staff! Savvas (owner maybe or at least General Manager) was there pretty much all the time and was so friendly and welcoming, gorgeous Maria who was on the front desk and looked after us so well, Jem who delivered breakfast to our balcony every day and Peter who manned the pool bar (their white wine at Euro4 a glass is very good as is their pool bar menu - they don’t have a restaurant hence having breakfast delivered to your room) The location of the suites is pretty good too. A short, 2 minute walk to the beach where all the bars and restaurants (of which there are many) offer complimentary sunbeds and parasols if you buy a drink (the bonus of doing that is you get to use their “facilities”) plus you have a large choice of places to eat at on your door step without having a long journey home!! We were staying in Kamari because we were flying out the next day, so we only booked for one night. Next time we will stay longer! First we arrived early hoping we could leave our bags. Everyone was so nice there - they apologized (!) because our room wasn’t ready and had it ready in about 5 minutes….but because they were sorry for the room not being ready (again we were early) they asked us to sit by the pool and offered a complimentary drink or coffee. The room was so pretty, open and airy with a balcony overlooking the pool, with pristine linens and nice toiletries and robes. The room had a fun gift basket with goodies and there was also a complementary breakfast, but we needed to leave early. The hotel is about a block from the beach so everything is walkable. We brought a car and found parking on the street - not sure if they have private parking. We would definitely book again and felt very well taken care of! …

Well as our BA flight has been delayed and we have missed our slot due to traffic control strikes, I thought I may as well write this review while sat on the runway! Having stayed in many great places and 5 star hotels, you can never get as good a quality service as from the smaller independent hotels. Kayla suites has only 12 rooms with a small bar and no restaurant, although you can have pool meals during the day, but what they may lack in amenities they make up for service and guest relations. We have never stayed anywhere that greets you on arrival as you get out of your taxi and is ready to take your bags and show you around. Introductions to staff, where everything is located and then on into your beautiful room. Maria on reception was so bubbly and happy and explained everything in detail. Breakfast is served at your time choice on your balcony, and that experience was lovely. Savvas, the general manager, is an absolute gem 💎. His sense of humour is amazing and he has such a great manner about him. You can really tell that he is wanting all that stay with them to have a very special time. Within a 2 minute walk you are amongst all of the restaurants and bars that line the beach front, perfect for stumbling back of an evening to your room. All of the staff are so polite, there are only 6 in total, and they all made us feel very welcome. But sadly all good things come to an end and we had to leave. Savvas and Maria both saw us off with such warmth that it definitely makes you want to return. Keep up the great work 👍. Word of advice, definitely try to get an upper level room for the typical santorini vaulted roof.…
