It's beautifully locked in the mountains, but beware that it is a narrow road road to get there. The receptionist puts on the 3th floor, but to my surprise there was no elevator, only 50+ steps. I've got a junior suite (room7), which had no added value for me, room with a terras would be better. The restaurant has a... More

We booked this hotel at the last minute and although the hotel is not easy to find, especially with a road closed, there are plenty of signposts. It is a lovely hotel in a beautiful position. We enjoyed an excellent dinner and a generous breakfast.

Hard to find, but absolutely magnificent views. We made reservations at the last minute not realizing how hard it was to find, and think we might have paid a pretty high rate. Also arrived very late after getting seriously lost 3 or 4 times along the way. But it is a magnificent setting, and breakfast the next day was just... More

It is a lovely place, with excellent food and very friendly service. It is also a hotel with good amenities, the rooms are very comfortable and spacious. We have had many guests staying there and every single one loved it, a quiet wonderful setting. A place also for families with children for they have a playgound and on Sundays they... More

Normally we stay in Alsace, France en route to Italy, but felt like a change. Based on the reviews this seemed to fit the bill. It was a little out of the way but we found it and the setting is stunning. Check in was haphazard to say the least as they appeared pretty disinterested. We then got an attic... More

This hotel is wonderful. Excellent value for money. The hotel has three floors, but no elavator. Might be a problem for older people if there is no room available on the ground floor. Room was spacious and comfortable.

10 minutes up the gallery from Steinen this hotel is in a lovely peaceful spot. The hotel is spotless with all rooms of a very high standard for a 3 star. I've stayed in plenty of 4 star hotels which are of a worse standard. My room on the third floor was large with good amenities and a good view... More

Having driven round what seemed most of the Black Forest, the sight that greeted us could not have been more welcome. A typical german country hotel with geraniums everywhere. The accommodation was comfortable and restful, good value, and the food and service were excellent.Add to that a jovial host and you have a most memorable experience.

The whole family enjoyed the stay in this somehow remote place in the Black Forest. Our familyroom (suite) was fantastic, confortable and beautiful. Food was delicious. Service perfect. What else can one ask for? We will definitely go back!
