For somewhere that positions itself as a serious food destination, I'd say that the experience here was underwhelming. The staff were not at all engaged and the food was 'ok' but many miles off the gourmande promise.

This Hotel is unlike anywhere that we have stayed before. There is a gentle feel of quiet and relaxation in quite a remote location. The rooms are set around a quadrangle with cloisters giving the feel of a monastery which it probably once was. Also in its history was clearly once a place where the rich came to take the... More

The place is pretty run down, the rooms were remodeled at least a couple of years (10+), although they have LED TV, CATV and refrigerator, towels always smelled like were moisture. The thermal baths are good without being great, the tubs are made of marble and old (very old! it's supposed that the father of the country used it to... More

We spend only one night at the Termas, but that was all we need to have a complete rest, the staff was very professional, took care of all of our needs and feed us like no tomorrow, my complements to the French Chef, (best Cream of Pumpkin in the world) and the staff in the restaurant was just incredible, we... My husband, daughter and I just spent one night at Termes de Cauquenes. This is one of the strangest most overpriced places I have ever stayed. We were supposed to spend two nights but checked out ASAP the next morning. The hotel is completely run down and dirty. After checking in we found out at dinner that we were the... More

Termas de Cauquenes is the best place to stay and eat that my husband and I have ever been. We are world travelers and enjoyed Chile tremendously with the highlight being Termas de Cauquenes. The rooms are very nice, but it is the food and scenery that makes it the best. It is owned by two chefs who will surpass... More

My boyfriend and I went to Termas de Cauquenes for a Saturday night, expecting a very nice time given the relatively high tariff. However, if it wasn’t for the fact that we tend to make the best of every situation we are in, even if it’s bad, and that we are very much in love, we would have had a... More

This hotel with thermal baths was reviewed favorably in Frommer's so we booked a "standard river view room" for two nights. The property is most famous for it's cuisine and is owned by a Swiss chef and his daughter. We also looked forward to swimming in the attractive pool featured on the website as it was late summer and very... More
