I stayed here for 2 nights after a family wedding at the nearby Masseria Baroni ( which was fabulous). I expected my room to be small because it was a single but it was tiny and 20 euros a night more than my junior suite at Masseria Baroni. Prior to the first night I was sent an email to see if I required dinner, I replied that I did and heard nothing. I went for dinner but the restaurant was closed despite the hotel allegedly being full. A lovely member of staff ( who seemed to be the only one at the hotel) rustled up some food from the kitchen. There were very few staff on duty at any one time. It was necessary to hunt someone down to get a drink by the pool for example. Only once during my 2 day stay did someone come to see me to check if I needed anything. I think that there must be some kind of owner/ senior management issue at this hotel. Potentially it could be very good but it seems to be run with minimal staffing and little leadership. The staff I did meet were lovely, the pool fabulous, the environment beautiful and when I did get a meal on my second night it was very tasty. Such a shame and not the fault of individual staff who tried their best with limited resources in my view.

After our wedding in Puglia with 42 family & friends we stayed here for one day and one night in the luxury room before travelling to the airport to begin our honeymoon. Really wished we had just booked an airport hotel in Brindisi. Nothing luxurious, no elegance, no staff, no service… just a glossy brochure. The hotel was reported to be full, but the restaurant was closed, drinks were hard to source, no staff anywhere. The staff when you could find them seemed unhappy and fed up, it really was the worst hotel experience for the money.

We had such a wonderful stay!! Absolutely stunning place, and grounds. Staff were all so friendly and helpful throughout, and brilliant at helping us arrange local day trips too, suggesting some stunning places to take day trips to! Our youngest is a little picky with food and the restaurant happily accommodated something else for her to enjoy at dinner. Rooms very spacious. If you have kids, make sure you take a walk around the grounds and meet the chickens and rabbits!!!

Our new favourite hotel in Puglia. The staff were very accommodating. The two rooms we booked were spacious and spotless. We had unexpected fresh fruit from the Masseria in our room upon arrival. . The elegant structure, gardens and all the fruit trees of the hotel and the beautiful bougainvillaea flowers growing around the Masseria makes this place truly one-of-a-kind. I can’t forget to mention, that the farm-to-table style dining was unbelievably tasty, we even got to pick cherries and apricots growing as we walked around the gardens and lazed by the pool. Already booked my next stay with a group of friends.

What an enjoyable place to stay. The hotel is beautiful and blends in well with the landscape. As you approach the hotel down the drive - an olive grove sits to the left and a peach orchard to the right, this just sets the scene of a peaceful resort. The building has been wonderfully restored and staff are delightful. We ate in the hotel restaurant and on both occasions the food was wonderful (second time was midweek menu was a little limited but the quality of food did not disappoint) . The rooms are of a decent size (we were in a deluxe room) and enough space for the cot for our little man. The pool area was wonderful and with a good selection of day beds and seating. The breakfast was a nice selection of fruit, pastries, hams and cheeses, we also had eggs one morning from the onsite chickens. Over all an excellent week was had - only negatives - pool on the chilly side - but makes you swim faster! and a lack of drawer space in the room - would we come back? -100%. Already planning our return.

The hotel location is nice and the room is pleasant as well. But even if you are in the middle of the nature, don't expect to be somewhere quiet and to be able to rest. The hotel organises parties with loud music almost every night and there are kids running and screaming around the building past midnight. It is overall very noisy and for the manager this seems fine... The restaurant is also of low quality: it was the worst meal we had during our stay in Puglia and we waited for our meal for more than 2 hours... When you try to get explanations from or complain to the hotel manager, she suddenly only speaks and understands Italian without trying to apologise.

My husband and I were looking forward for this much deserved vacation in Puglia and we were confident that we had picked the best place to relax and enjoy some quiet time together. We have to say that the masseria itself was very nice and well maintained, the swimming pool was stunning. Everything picture perfect. The staff was very nice as well. Especially Mauro who was resourceful and knows the region extremely well. Unfortunately, much to my fault, I did not read that pets are welcome and after hearing the dogs of our neighbors howling for hours (they left for the day and locked the dogs in) in the room next to ours, I complained about it and they said that they couldn’t really do anything but that they would let the owners know. We tried relaxing by the pool. Not possible, a bunch of kids were there all the time screaming and splashing around. We were trying to get some rest after a long drive and the manager’s teens were playing, fighting, screaming right in front of our door. Our room was beautiful but right next to the front desk, a place that sounds much like a rail station’s hall starting from 08:00am! Earplugs are a must! They also open the access to the pool to visitors for 10.00 euros per person. We have seen families arriving with kids, grandma, grandpa etc. a bridal shower, birthdays’ celebrations, you name it! It really felt like that was the only place in Mesagne where you can go to host any type of event. There was nothing done for the guests, no bar or room service. You can only get beer or water during the day. On our first night there, we wanted to buy a bottle of wine. Not possible, we had to wait until the guy who opens the restaurant arrival to get one. No gym, no recreational activities. They have bikes... Breakfast was okay but it really felt like they were trying hard filling the table with industrial stuff, no variety, we were there for 8 days and every day they served the same things. Same fruits. Same store bought cheese (only one kind), same store bought cakes, pastries. Not as genuine as they claimed it to be on their site. Before we left, I suggested that they served eggs. They said that I had to ask and that they could prepare them for us. Yet nobody never offered once and it was surely not advertised. The best is yet to come... After 3 days of this nonsense, we decided to book another place and asked the staff to prepare our bill as we wanted to checkout the next morning. The whole management and their mothers came to see us to find out what the problem was! Supposedly in shock (never happened before) and they said they would do anything to make us stay. Regretfully... we did stay... they moved us to another room because we insisted on the fact that we needed quiet. And quiet we got indeed... It was also the tiniest room we have ever seen since my husband and I have been traveling together. Half the size of the previous one. Really half indeed. So to make unhappy customers happy, they moved us from the nicest room on the premises to their smallest. You literally take one step inside and you fall onto the bed! At that point, I seriously wanted to cry my rage out. Maybe that’s an okay room for one person, staying for 1 night, not for a couple with big suitcases, not for five additional nights! We asked for the price and they assured us that it was going to be much different, plus a nice gesture would be made for the trouble. The night before we checked out we found out that their intention was to give us a mere discount of 20 euros per night for the 5 nights in that stupid room. Unbelievable! We went to the front desk and much to our surprise, we found, right there on display, the price list for every room per season. We made a quick calculation and realized that the price we owed, according to the list, was significantly lower than the one they were trying to have us pay. They must have heard me screaming out loud because shortly after we returned to our tiny room, I received a confirmation by email of the exact price we had to pay, which matched our calculation. So no gesture, not a goddamn glass of wine offered. We ate at their restaurant at least 4 times, got 2 or 3 bottles of wine. Nothing, zilch, zero, nada! Oh wait, no I’m sorry... after we paid our bill, the girl at front desk, gave us a pack of homemade pasta... Threw it away as soon as I could. seriously don’t go there! A total scam! Last but not least... don’t be fooled, the real owner of the place is the woman that brings your cappuccino to you in the morning. Cheers!

My boyfriend and I stayed here last week.. The staff were wonderful, kind, hospitable and have some great tips of where to explore in Puglia. The food was divine (I recommend the black noodles with clams & the cheesecake) -the pool is even better in real life, the rooms are very clean. We couldn’t fault it ! We hope to return to Masseria in the near future ❤️

Brand new Masseria near the typical authentical italian village Mesagne. Only 11 luxury rooms and a very large pool in the middle of the fields where you can relax completely in all quietness. Interior design and quality of choice of materials is perfect. They just opened also restaurant La Barique in a splendid glazed box near the pool which is also available for people outside this new resort. Beautifull lightning at night! Nevertheless we were disappointed because the air-conditioning couldn't be fixed: 27C all night and the promised breakfast at 6.30am, because we had to catch our flight back home early, wasn't there...Very pitty to end your perfect holiday like this.

We stayed at the resort from 15 to 17 July, and had a fantastic stay. The place is amazing, clean, comfortable and with the perfekt combination of contemporary and historic features. Our room exceeded our expectations in every way and even had a private jacuzzi. Hugo is an amazing host, and goes above and beyond to fulfil his guests’ every need. The food at the restaurant is great and prices are reasonable. The masseria is placed in the middle of fields with active agriculture, and the restaurant serves local produce. We have nothing to remark and would rate it with more than a 5 if we could. Will definitely come back.
