We stayed here for 2 weeks. Very basic but clean and comfortable. Stella and Nikos were wonderful hosts they couldn't do enough for us. I was unwell for couple days , Stella made me special teas and checked that I was OK She even offered to cook for us. Stella baked beautiful cookies and warm cake to go with our morning coffee. Couldn't ask for better hospitality , lovley people. They gave us a real comfortable home feeling . Stella is my now officially my 2nd Mum . .

Arrived late on a Saturday to be greeted by the owner (Stella) and her husband who informed us the toilet was blocked, in the room we booked, so we would have to spend the night “in her cousins apt’s” round the corner called George’s studio’s & apt’s, but that the plumber was coming on the Sunday to fix the toilet at the Stergia. Didn’t hear from her on the Sunday so we went to the Stergia 2 apt’s as we heard she bases herself there after a certain time, asked her if our room was ready and she said it wasn’t as “there is only one plumber in the whole of Kardamena and he doesn’t work weekends” 🙄. She then asked “why don’t you like the room at George’s?”, told her that no we didn’t, it was dirty, small, there were hardly any electric sockets and the shower not only didn’t have a curtain but you also couldn’t even put the shower head on the wall as there wasn’t a connector. She claimed that the showers don’t connect to the wall in the whole of Kos and you just hold the shower head over you to wash, found this not to be true when we stayed in a hotel in Kos town for the night and the shower head was connected to the wall! 🙄 She then claimed her rooms at Stergia 1 were much smaller than George’s and more basic (you could not get any more basic or small than George’s! 🙄). and that there were much more tourists than usual but we could come and charge our phones etc at the Stergia 2 whilst using her pool and recommended her food also. Aha lightbulb moment! she’d obviously overbooked her own apt’s so was putting the excess in her “cousins” apt’s 🙄. Decided we would not give her any business until she sorted the apt we had booked. Left her for the day on Monday, still having been unable to unpack as we didn’t know what the situation was, and thinking the elusive plumber would have had time to sort the toilet problem out by then so returned on Tuesday. We told her the balcony door would now not lock and asked if our room at the Stergia was ready, she just told us that no it still wasn’t but she would speak to her “niece” about the balcony door as she worked there (it was her cousin who owned them on the other days 🙄), she then tried to pacify us saying she would try and get us a room at Stergia 2. Rubbish!!. Never saw her for the rest of our 2 week holiday. We only paid £20 each a night to stay there but there is no way George’s would have been that much so opened a complaint with the travel company we booked with! Can’t say avoid the Stergia as we never got to stay there but I would never book with these owners again as they can’t be trusted!

This is not 3star apartments more like 0 star. I was not greeted on my arrival 1am ad host was sleeping when they finally woke husband and wife ) they told me they had no rooms and i had to stay in another apartment building 5 mins across road George's apartment.it was filthy. I wiped the sides and the wipes were black with dirt.very noisy with passing traffic and other resisdence coming and going.no safty deposit box.shower cubical is so small you cant wash yourself in there. it is like a homeless hostel . I addressed my disappointment with the owner, she did not seem faised or concerned.this owner should not be allowed to advertise on a tour operator site as a 3 star. False advertising.

We stayed here for 11 nights in July 2018 and enjoyed it so much we are returning this year. The owners Stella and Nico could not have been more kind and helpful along with the rest of their family. The location is very central and tranquil but a five minute walk to the centre. The apartments are basic but clean and very typical of self catering apartments in Greece. The hospitality for us was the main thing and the complex had a family feel which we loved.

This was our ninth time in Kardamena and a friend suggested we try these apartments having stayed there previously, the owners and there family couldn't have been more welcoming, perfect hosts and so friendly. The apartments are just a short walk to the centre of kardemena which was great. Your close enough to the town with all the bars and restaurants but far enough away so that you can get a great nights sleep. We thoroughly enjoyed are stay and can't thank the owners enough for being so helpful, nothing appeared to be too much trouble. Looking forward to going back again. Thanks Nikos and Michalous

Booked with booking.com months in advance . Arrived in the night and fortunately the owner was waiting . However after a long journey and feeling stressed already we were told there was room room for us and we would have to stay in a relatives room overnight to return at 12pm the next day! The rooms we were sent to was very basic but clean and not too far away. No compensation was given ! The next day we went to our room at the Stergia Apartments . Very clean but basic . I was glad they had WiFi access on the rooms ( this isn’t standard on Greece). Balcony , comfortable pillows, towels and a quilt provided . We were told Aircon and safe were chargeable as extras . Took the keys and was quite happy. Like you do, go out all night and decide to sleep in. ..... owner decides to walk in the rooms and start cleaning at 1130am , making a lot of noise and generally annoying me. I asked her to leave as we were sleeping and in bed! Later on she apologised and wondered why I was rude . I apologised for being snappy and then asked her not to interrupt us when we are sleeping and not to clean our rooms when we are in bed. She took that as not cleaning at all and didn’t bother for ten days except empty bins twice . She wanted payment ASAP, so I said I would pay by card . Then she took me into basement and the machine didn’t work and she said there was something wrong with my card ! I think not. I just gave her the cash the next day. She then asked for extra money for tax . it was only 4 euros so I didn’t bother arguing. Had to ask for clean towels after about four days . But we was given them . Again she decided to barge in our room one morning and started telling my daughter off for taking sheets off the bed and leaving quilt on the floor. She basically made her get out of her bed , so she could make it and was a little bit annoyed . Yes we were trying to have a lie in but was disturbed again! The owner thinks she can just walk in the room when she thinks . My daughter was naked!! I didn’t feel like we were given the respect or privacy to enjoy our holiday . The owner is very noisy in the mornings when she is cleaning the rooms and we liked to lie in everyday . Location is great . You only get one key which is a pain . Shop next door. Centre is only a few mins away. Beach the same . No pool . We walked to the Kool Pool everyday as Pete is a good laugh and the pool is spacious and lots of space . Just round the corner . stergia 2 Pool is on the main road which is dangerous if you have kids . Plus it’s tiny . There are plants everywhere which I feel encourage flys and mosquitos . We had to keep our balcony door shut to avoid this problem or you get eaten alive . Would I stay here again . No. It feels like you’re 15 again and living with really annoying parents .
