So I booked this holiday for my wife and daughter and me. We had been to Costa teguise a few times so it was last minute and Bluebay seemed a good option then after booking I did that fateful thing of reading reviews so here is my take on the holiday we just came back from Arrival We arrived around 1 and check in was not till 3 so lady behind was very helpful and cheerful gave us our wristbands and allowed us to store our cases and go explore hotel no problems there We went on for lunch as it had just started and thing I liked was you were seated it wasn't a free for all like some places we have been the waiter Yannis made a good first impression which he continued with each time we went to eat making us laugh So have read slot of reviews about state of dining area well I seem no insects in the week we were there there was only 1 chair I sat on where I thought no don't feel right so yes maybe just check all chairs to ensure they are sturdy it will stop any injury claims Food There was plenty to choose from fish, meats, salads, soups rice even for fussy eaters there was always the go to burger and chips and was hot only thing I found was desserts were same daily which was a shame Room We had a ground floor room which was spacious large TV with English channels yes there were a couple of wear and tear things that could be fixed but wasn't anything I was going to complain about shower was good and strong beds comfortable and Aircon was nice when needed Pool bar Never had any issues here never had to queue for drinks and was happy with quality of drinks we always go for honey rum staff were always smiling and helpful didn't see anything regarding food being left lying around as there always seemed to be plenty of staff about picking up and tidying as they went along Pool area We never had any issues getting a bed even though people do leave towels around first thing we did notice if you left them there after pool closed at 6 they were removed and placed in a central location Location Ideal location 15 minute walk from town centre and las cucharas beach or 5 minute from plays bastin beach All in all we had a good week and would have no hesitation booking again going on this week so glad I am writing a positive review for this hotel

Hotel's Favourite
The hotel is a brilliant size with plenty of entertainment each day and night (Includes both adults and children) Diego is an absolute STAR! Breakfast features a large selection of both hot and cold options, between meals the pool bar is open and also has a number of self service beer taps! Pool bar services a selection of snacks such as hot-dogs, burgers, pasta, fish, chicken nuggets along side chips, cold meats and salads. Lunch is a number of meals served buffet style, a selection of cold meats, breads, fruit and deserts are available. For the evening meal the chefs offer a similar style of dining as lunchtime however with specials featuring their own artistic flare! The also cook in front of you to your taste for specials such as steak and freshly caught fish. Kids club runs in the morning, afternoon and a disco with entertainment is put on most evenings. As for adults club, this too runs to a similar schedule as kids club. There's an onsite park for the kids, kids pool and kids club cabin. Each event is different and even the most nervous of children will come out smiling with friends (personal experience with my daughter) As for the adults events, expect to be treated to Pool, Darts, Mini Golf, Ping Pong and of course BEER PONG! The reps run these in a unique way which has the option to involve alcoholic beverages HOWEVER nobody is ever forced to consume alcohol (substitutes are available) Additionally, you'll find some of the adults taking part have their children in kids club, this is a great opportunity to meet other people and families, share meals together and of course reconvene for the evening entertainment - We made new friends and we're keeping in touch with them too. The rooms are clean and pleasant, the cleaning staff are friendly, polite and respectful. Our room had a decent size TV, channels to suit most tastes and even featured BBC 1,2, ITV, C4, C5 plus the Disney Channel. My only niggling problem is the fact you have to pay for wifi if you want to use it constantly (think kids with tablets etc) It's not outrageously expensive but alas you'd still expect it. If you want to watch sports such as football on TV then theirs a bar around the corner called Monica's Sports Bar (2 min walk) - Well behaved children are welcome, they stock some of our brands from back in England and just in general it's a safe and pleasant atmosphere. If you're looking for a local supermarket then there's a HyperDino around the corner (5 mins walk) Highly recommend catching the bus into Arrecife (Route Number 3, Get on at Playa Bastian, Same road as HyperDino) This bus goes to the Lanzarote Open Mall (McDonald along with an arcade, lots of clothing and designer shops too) Get off the bus at Los Alonso lda and walk towards the mall (you'll need to cross the road) Same bus route but opposite side of the road will take you back on route 3. Typically 1.40 Eur Each Way Per Person. There's also an Ikea and Lidl on the same bus route before you get to Los Alonso, the stop is called Ikea. All in all this hotel exceeded our expectations.

We stayed here 11th - 21st October for our anniversary. I emailed several months before our holiday for a ground floor room as my husband is disabled. We were allocated a first floor room (no lift). I explained the situation and was told there was only one ground floor room left and we could view it and if it wasn't suitable we could change it the following morning. The room was just what I'd requested in my email - close to the restaurant, pool and pool bar, so we were happy to stay there. The room (B101) was spotless and cleaned every day except on Wednesdays. Towels were changed every fourth day. The living room/kitchen had a kettle with tea & coffee etc. The sofa in the living room was quite comfortable. The TV had several English channels, but we didn't watch it. Beds were comfortable with extra pillows available in the wardrobe if needed. A safe was in the wardrobe which we had to pay for, but that is common in most hotels. The bathroom had a shower which was good. Plenty of hot water was always available. We had a leak in the bathroom and someone was quick to see to it, although we had to report it again and it seemed that the leak came from a small crack in the toilet, which wasn't fixed by the time we went home. The food was good and we could always find something to eat. Plenty of desserts, which we enjoyed. The drinks were a bit weak, but so are all all-inclusive hotel drinks unless you pay for an upgrade to premium drinks. We didn't see any entertainment so I can't comment on it. The staff were really friendly and always smiling. They all worked really hard. The hotel was a fair walk to the main shops and bars, although there were several within a few minutes walk. On the whole we had a great time at this hotel, and for what we paid, we think it was definitely value for money. We don't usually stay in the same hotel twice, but this one we may do.

Great stay! Ok stayed here for a week and I can not knock it really, our room was always cleaned and very quiet, pool area was relaxing only few children about but they was no bother. Short walking distance away from the beach which is lovely. Only 2 things the hotel need to work on the food is bad! And they need better beds. I also have to do a shout out to the Indian restaurant called the Royal Indian, this place is amazing and it’s right next door to the hotel.

Large comfortable ground floor apartment with comfy beds. Large lounge with tv. Fridge and kettle. Yes we found a couple of cockroaches but we are in a hot country and there was spray left under the sink for such finds so they were quickly dealt with. We had very noisy neighbor's, swearing and shouting and kids crying. There were a few rowdy people there but staff were brilliant. I would probably stay at an adult only hotel next time but foodwise you couldn't complain as something for everybody and children well catered for. Resident cats also.

Location - good for walking along the beach & to the square for the bars & restaurants. Quick transfer from the airport as well. Staff - from reception, restaurant, pool bar, cleaners & grounds maintenance they are all lovely & friendly. Had a couple of issues in our room & these were rectified very quickly with little fuss. Food - slightly below average in quality and variety. Most of it is cold in comparison to the UK but we are told it’s what is acceptable here. Thankfully there is a microwave to heat things up. The fish always had bones in it (more than expected) and the food labels were often generic “grilled meat” rather than specific. The puddings were very limited and pretty much the same everyday. Ice creams from the pool bar were the basic only despite the display having lots of choice but these are chargeable and not part of AI. Drinks - the soft drinks are great as they are branded Sprite, Fanta & Coke Zero. The larger is also of a good standard. But that it’s where it stops. All spirits are local cheap brands and nothing tastes as it should and therefore I went and bought a bottle from the shop round the corner or it would have been a tea total holiday. Rooms - very basic and tired. The walls in our room were very delicate and the slightest brush & the plaster came crumbling away. There are a variety of insects ants, cockroaches & beetles often visit! The most annoying were the minute little any type bugs crawling over every surface all day every day! The room could do with a total makeover. There are not that many electrical sockets available either. Unfortunately we will not be visiting again as overall disappointed.

A lovely hotel for a family! Reception guys were always smiling, very polite and helpful with everything we needed. Restaurant staff were very quick, friendly and always helpful, were always interactive with our little one, even at busiest times. We felt welcomed at all times. Food was nice, you always could find something to eat, considering it's 3 stars hotel. Breakfast was amazing - eggs, bacon, pancakes, veggies, sausages, variety of cheese, freshly baked pastries all were lovely! For lunch and dinner there was a good choice of soups, salads, veggies, freshly grilled meat and fish were very tasty, you could choose pasta and of course burgers and chips. But food was quite repetitive. There was beer and wine on tap which tasted good. Plenty of soft drinks. We really missed the bottled water, the water at the bar didn't taste good, especially if you staying with the baby, we always were buying water ourselves. And some plates were chipped, so need to be careful choosing ones. Also not much use of snack bar. It supposed to be open from 10:30, but even at 11am I was told it's not open yet. Our room was a good size, tidy and clean, loved the little kitchen. Room were cleaned daily, but the the balcony cleaning needs more attention as wasn't cleaned at all. Towels were changed daily. The hotel swimming pool's layout is very nice, always plenty of space, sunbeds available at all times. Large pool with separate kids pool and kids area. Surroundings are very clean, plants very well looked after. The Animation team was great! Entertainment always nice. It definitely didn't disappoint, ignore negative feedbacks! We will be definitely returning next year. I would highly recommend this hotel, especially for the families. We had a great stay and lovely holidays! Thank you very much, Blue Bay Lanzarote!

Had a great family holiday at blue bay . Family of 4 , 2 boys 14 and 10 . No complaints from the kids about the food all week and we were very impressed. There is a great selection especially at breakfast full English , pancakes and fried eggs cooked in front of you pastries , breads , fruit the list goes on . Lunch and dinner pretty similar but still a good selection . Desserts again good selection even had a chocolate fountain with marshmallows a few times during our stay . Staff work really hard and are always busy . Drinks really good , beer nice , cocktails ok not the best . Kids loved the slushies and ask the barman to add your favourite spirits to our slushies making your own cocktails . Pool bar snacks burgers, hotdogs , chips , toasties etc all edible and we're also enjoyed by our kids . Room was basic as expected but done the job , bathroom not the greatest and its not the nicest room we have ever stayed in but it was nice enough. We was in A block on the first floor had no cockroaches in our room although we did see a few around the hotel normally at night . Had a few little ants in the room but no drama. Location is brilliant 15 /20 minute walk to town along the promenade lovely sea views or cab around 3 euro . We enjoyed the town plenty of shops and restaurants around . The Square had a lovely vibe about the place. Walk to jabillo a little bay on the way to the town . Only 15 / 20 mins walk it is incredible. Done snorkeling here we see so many different fish so many including a star fish and even an Angel shark was amazing experience and was absolutely free kids were out there for hours , the water is calm clear and beautiful and packed full of fish . Take some bread they will eat it from your hands . Made some real memories there. Back to the hotel ,pool cold but nice . Hotel overall clean in general. Entertainment just OK We felt like we had a good value for money here , we payed £2,300 and got more than our moneys worth . We was expecting 3 star and that is exactly what we got . Exceeded all expectations in all areas. Kids have asked to go back next year as they had such a good time. We are booking for 11 nights next year . Thankyou bluebay and all your staff for a brilliant holiday we will be back next year .
