Just spent a week here and I must say it's a lovely hotel. The food was fantastic considering it's just a buffet restaurant (amazing pizza) and the variety was fairly reasonable across the week. The room was great we had an apartment my only complaint would be the beds were slightly annoying very noisy and shifted around easily but across my whole experience of the week that was my only issue. The staff were fantastic very friendly and always smiling. We only watched the one night of entertainment as we spent all day out and about so we were knackered and in bed before it most nights. It's definitely worth a stay here in my opinion.

We are leaving this hotel today after staying for 10 nights and if I can advise anything to those who are booked to come here it would be, ignore the negative reviews. I mistakenly read reviews on this hotel before we arrived which made me question.
After spending 10 days here, I have barely anything negative to say. The food caters for everybody, even if you’re a picky eater there’s something for you. The animation team always go above and beyond. The rooms are spacious, and the cleaners always keep on top of changing bedding and towels. Entertainment on a night was great, always something that both kids and adults enjoy watching. The beach is a 5 minute walk down the road and the square which has all bars, restaurants and a gorgeous beach is a 15 minute walk or a €3 taxi ride.
On our second day, we requested a room change as our neighbours to the side and above were extremely noisy, the staff reception couldn’t be more helpful and where quick to resolve our situation by relocating us, for this we couldn’t be more grateful.
Down side to this hotel is, the walls are so thin so you can hear everything your neighbours are doing, not ideal when you have young children.
We would 100% book to come here again.

Wow from the start of our holiday we were met by the friendliest of staff in reception our room wasn't quite ready so we were told we could leave our bags in the storage room and enjoy some lunch in restaurant or pop to the pool bar. Pool and air hockey available for 1€ each shop in hotel is okay and they have a gym and spa Kids loved the tennis and football pitches. Now entertainment well the Reps Luis Andrea Anna Johnny you made the holiday the best one abroad we have ever had our kids loved you all and teaching you dances like cotton eye Joe and you teaching them Ram Sam Sam they work extremely hard getting everyone involved with fun and games from ping pong to crazy golf boules darts pool tournament beer pong all these were a good laugh. Evening entertainment in theatre was mini disco for kids which they loved then adult entertainment from flamenco dancers to magician singers and an animal show all good fun drinks cold wet and great bar staff friendly nothing to much trouble. Of you like sports check out Monica's bar round corner from hotel 2 min walk great drinks and loads of screens to watch the sports. Nearest supermarket is hiper Dino 5 min walk and opposite this is a path that leads down to play Bastian beach 10min walk lovely restaurant overlooking sea for a drink or food. Carry on walking around the cove to a fantastic sun trap beach with rocks stopping waves coming in and calm waters where you can feed fish that swim right up to you feet we fed banana as was told they love this they went made for it. The Good: location The Bad: the pictures are a misconception, of the hotel and are not a current representation of it. The hotel is worn, dated, tired and in parts broken. I appreciate the hotel is open 365 days a year, but a refurbishment is in need in my opinion. Rooms are not cleaned on a daily basis and towels are only changed every 3 days. A beach towel from the hotel will cost you €20’s upfront with €10’s of this being a refundable deposit on return. The Ugly: dirty glasses, going through multiple glasses to find a semi clean glass or plastic cup. The ‘restaurant’ didn’t really eat much in here to be fair but what I did see was your typical all inclusive food. Dirty broken seats and chipped glass table tops are not ideal to be fair.
It’s a shame if this hotel was refurbished to a good standard, it would make it an ideal hotel due to the location, although don’t get misconceived sea views as shown in the pictures are only available by a selected number of rooms.
Overall would not recommend and would not return, to this hotel, based on the above

Returned today Booked for family of 10 had 5 rooms honest view this hotel needs to close and have a full deep clean Food not great often to burnt to eat Dinning room needs broken chairs removed entertainment staff great Rooms dirty , bar staff need customer service training 1 Young man with ginger hair needs lesson in manners and politeness so rude honestly will never know how he has a job , pool icy cold , sunbeds are beyond dirty , told clean towels every 3 days yet you are still asking days later and all you get told there are issues with the laundry not good enough , personally , I would sugguset going anywhere but here for a holiday we travel at least 8 times a year and have never felt the need to write a review about a hotel but if this saves anyone the awful experience of this hotel I will be glad , not 1 of our 5 rooms were clean ants in rooms which no surprise as there so dirty , I think the hotel needs a total close to allow a good clean , if late flight home you can not pay to keep room there is no shower to use or room to change in there is nowhere to plug your phone in to charge as you have to be out your room at 12 , so keep in mind if late transfer your told to use the toilet to change in reception area which are small not very clean , quite a few of my family got unwell , just hope you don’t get poorley late at night and need water as reception tell you to go find a shop to get water !! You can not even buy a bottle of them so if poorley don’t ask reception as no help what so ever I would avoid this hotel at all cost all our issues were reported to the rep on site who have it all logged , there was a jelly baby on the path lights which was there before we got there and still there when we left we find it quite funny as think someone has put there to see how many months it will take to clean them there is so much wrong with this hotel the list is endless

On first impressions the hotel looked quite nice until we walked through to our room then our opinion changed. The food was good although you have to wait to be seated at a table and are queing outside for the restaurant to open breakfast doesn't start until 8.00am lunch 1.00pm and evening meal 6.30pm. The cleanliness of the rooms not good at all. All that they do in your room is make the bed and change the towels every 3 days but they do not work on Wednesday. The hotel in all area's including the pool area could all do with an overall upgrade. Beware of not being advised that if you use the safe there is an €5.00 deposit (which is fine) but then you are charged €3.30 per day. Although situated close to the sea front and shops (which is probably the only good thing about this hotel) We stayed here 16.11.24 - 22.11.24 which we were glad it was only a week. We would not return.

The location is great, not right in the middle of the resort so you don't have alot of noise to contend with.
My room was a top floor, with a large balcony, and when I opened the door I was really pleasantly surprised. I'd read the reviews and had seen they were a mixed bag, but I wanted to make my own mind up.
Upon check in, 8.40pm, I was told to got to the restaurant and get some food, literally ushered there which was nice as it had been a long day.
The restaurant is large and bright with alot of seating and it never felt busy or crowded. I have to give compliments to Manuel, Berto and Dionne who were all super welcoming and friendly, but as were the whole team. The meals sometimes felt like it was a random combination of foods, but there was always a good amount of food, and where there were things being cooked fresh, there was always a good amount.
Pool Bar serves snacks, and has ice-cream which you can help yourself to, the beer and soft drinks were self service which means there are no queues for drinks.
Plenty of sunbeds, and the pool area was lovely, also a lifeguard on duty keeping an eye on people which is reassurring.
The apartment was lovely, spacious and clean. The only down side is there was no mirror in the bedroom, there was a lovely dressing table area, but no mirror - as a woman this is a big thing and a small change which would make alot of difference.
There was shampoo/body wash in the shower, and handwash by the bathroom sink a big plus - a hairdryer!
My room had a folding bed in the lounge, which was strange as it was just me in the room, I did ask if this could be removed - thinking it was a mistake and was toldn it was probably there for the next guests -small niggle but I don't care about the next guests, I was there now. It wasn't removed during my stay.
No lifts in the complex, so if you ask for a high floor remember you have to get your case up the stairs!
This holiday was just what I needed - a destress break. I would return to the this accomodation in the future - so that should speak for itself in terms of my thoughts about the Blue Bay.

Definitely will not be returning back to this hotel. Some of the reception staff were rude and not very helpful in particular the lady with the short blonde hair. On arrival we were greeted by cockroaches in our room, all over the worktop in the kitchenette. This continued for serval days. The Jet2 rep was helpful and managed to send someone round to block up a hole behind the fridge. We were told that the hotel prides themselves on their cleanliness, however we never saw any cleaning staff and our room was only ‘Cleaned’ twice. Not sure what cleaning was done though apart the beds had been made. Our towels were changed only once. The night time entertainment wasn’t the best, the mini disco was the same every night and on one occasion the mini disco didn’t go ahead, the room where the mini disco and entertainment happened never had music playing, and there definitely wasn’t enough tables and chairs for everyone. If you wanted to stay up later than 10:30 you can sit out round the pool bar, but no music was played. As for the pool, it was difficult to get sun lounges, people where out early doors, reserving their loungers, there wasn’t enough for everyone in the hotel. Which one a couple of occasions we were forced to go out for the day because of this. The pool was always freezing cold, the pool toilets weren’t the cleanest, and on one occasion a lady got stuck in one of the cubicles due to the lock on the door. We felt the food was poor, the kids always had the same stuff, there was no verity, and not a lot of choice. The dinning room was always packed out and on a couple of occasions the chairs were wet and dirty. 100% not worth what we paid for it. We won’t be going back to this hotel. I’d give this hotel a MASSIVE wide birth. It looks nothing like the photos. Stay away!

And not to mention that one of the towels had yellow spots... But even the bed sheets had holes in them. - English atmosphere, 100%, we only found a couple of Spaniards on the last day of stay -one of the beds had its leg twisted and every time I moved at night, towards such a noise that I thought it would break No do not disturb sign in the rooms, you were presented with the girl to clean just at nap time Dinner ended at 9.15 but we saw how at 8 o'clock the food started to be withdrawn. You couldn’t even eat what little they offered, because it either ran out fast and didn’t refill, or they’d take the food straight away before the end of the hour. For the same price I have gone to much better hotels. It has been a great disappointment especially because I felt cheated by not having the services they offered. We didn't even have TV to entertain my daughters on break times.

As many as you want. There's no restriction here at all and during my time there no-one went over the top. they were all sensible drinkers - its not a "party" hotel.
There are more places to choose from in the Costa Teguise area.
