We stayed with our children in July. Unfortunately my son and I had a stomach bug en route and so we're not fully able to appreciate Kheang's excellent cooking until day 2. The accommodation is basic with no electricity or running water however the hut is still comfortable with ventilation to help with the heat. Don and Kheang were welcoming... More

We spent 2 nights at Rana Homestay, a short trip from Kratie - it was the best part of our holiday! You'll get the chance to explore the life of Kampong Cham countryside, taking daily tours walking arround the village or by bike. For more background information on Cambodias history you can talk to the owners mother who survived the... More

We stayed at Rana's with our parents for two days as that's their preffered length of stay. They don't accept just one day trip. From all our travels this was the most informative and memorable days so far. When we arrived we were welcomed by Don (our host) and Khean (the owner of the homestay and host), we were shown... Rana Homestay is the only true homestay we stayed in in Cambodia, despite staying at a number of other places that used the word 'homestay' in their title. When you stay at Rana Homestay you are staying with people in their own home ( albeit in your own separate cabin) and you are given the opportunity to see an unsanitized... More

We had great two days with Kheang and Don. We count it as one of the best experiences we had in Cambodia. Kheang is not only an amazing chef she is also great guide and interpreter. They both gave us an insight of the Cambodian culture which we haven't had before. Please keep up with the great work you are... More

We stayed in March 2015. It was a relaxed and informative stay, we left feeling that we had a much better understanding of what life is like for a rural community and the challenges that face this amazing country. We felt very priviledged that peoples lives were shared with us in such an open way. Kheang is such a respected... More

We loved our time at Rana - absolutely loved every minute of it. Kheang is an amazing host and she ensures that everything is as perfect as can be. Life is slow here and its not for someone who has to "do" something all day. You spend your time going around the villages on foot or on bike and talking... More

We stayed at Rana homestay for 2 nights. Kheang is an absolutely wonderful hostess: generous and thoughtful. She worked tirelessly throughout our stay to ensure that all the guests were happy. Her cooking is the best we have sampled in Cambodia and plentiful! She is the interpreter during both the village tours and the evening chats and she does an... More

This was one of my best experiences (if not the best at all) I´ve made in Cambodia. I´ve learned a lot about the cambodian way of living, history, culture. I wish there are more places like this. The food is great, the hut very simple, but you don´t go there to look for luxury. The family is very friendly. The... More

From our pickup at the bus station to our departure 2 days later, this was an incredible experience. Don, an American, & his wife, Kheang, were wonderful hosts. Kheang is a phenomenal cook! The eggplant dish she made over a fire stove for lunch one day was something we talked about for months despite the fact that we don't even... More
