This hotel is very nice and clean, the staff are VERY helpful, accommodating, and flexible. Rooms are clean and modern and have all the amenities that you might need, the breakfast was very delicious and the amount of food was very good, various drinks to satisfy all tastes. The location is PERFECT only 1 minute walking to the bus stop that takes you to the downtown Mykonos/little Venice and only 3 minutes walking to the beach. The hotel gives you beach towels and a bag, as well as a nice discount for the sunbeds on the beach with the restaurant affiliated with them. We booked private transportation with the hotel to and from the port of arrival and the driver was there waiting for us upon arrival with a sign of our names on it. The driver was super friendly and recommended a lot of nice spots to us. The Overall experience was very very positive.

Hotel's Favourite
Only stayed here for one night before our flight home, lucky enough to be given the 2 storey apartment which was absolutely stunning inside - so much space for 4 of us. Beautiful hotel, very polished with lovely staff. Gorgeous pool area over looking the mountains. Amazing breakfast with loads of choice. Location wise, a short 3 minute stroll down the hill to the beach which is far too busy and pretentious for us, the whole beach is plastered with sun lovers all the way to the shore. Expensive restaurants who are competing for custom. Would recommend getting up early to watch sunrise on the beach where the beach is still and quiet.

This was paradise for me. We were scheduled to stay at a hotel next door (which I cannot compare). The room, distance to the beach, breakfast, bus stop to town, etc. were all very manageable. Every single staff member went out of their way to make sure we were taken care of. This hotel was my favorite of all the ones on our trip through Athens, Mykonos, Santorini, and Crete.

We decided to stay in this hotel during our recent stay to Mykonos after good research and will recommend this place 100 percent. I never had such a great experience in my 30 years of travelling international locations. Right from the check in to the departure there was a personal touch and care.. just like I was staying with my family. Breakfast was very good and fresh . We left our passports in the vault and realized after reaching Santorini. There were euros and some expensive jewellery and it was completely our mistake as we were rushing to take morning Ferry and did not take stuff out of the vault . When we contacted the hotel Stavruls from the hotel immediately took action, went in the room and secured our passports and other stuff. We called few times to discuss best way to get our passports and finally decided to go and pick up personally. Stavruls was so caring and helpful and she sent hotel driver Teodosl who initially dropped us to the port to to deliver the package/ passport to the port as had to go back on the same ferry to Santorini. I am not giving 5 starts for the reason of getting my passports back but the overall experience, care and personal touch we felt during our stay. Their restaurant at the beach has great food. Thanks once again to Argo staff and specially Stavruls & Teodosl for your help and care in ensuring delivery of passports/ valuables at the port safely. Never seen such hospitality and care in any of the hotels I have stayed.

Paradise on earth! I can NOT express with enough enthusiasm how sad we were to have to leave! The staff is there to move mountains if you request anything, the food is top-notch, the rooms are spacious, white, and squeaky clean every day. Two cold water bottles in our fridge every morning, and plug adapters for any conversion you may need at front desk. They MOP the floors of your room every morning. I’ve never seen that in my life and I pretty much live out of hotels for my work. The shoreline is maybe 100 yards away, with the bus stop and convenience stores even closer. We got espressos and cappuccinos anytime we asked, plus a Nespresso machine in the room. The people are the type of people that make the world a better place simply by existing. We are ready to move to Mykonos because of this experience. And don’t forget, the shuttle driver will give you a memorable drive to the airport if you like. He is party-ready with a neon lights and a karaoke mic on hand! I almost don’t want for everyone to know how great this place is because I’m worried the price may triple and I’ll never find an available room again, but they deserve every bit of credit I can give. :)

2nd stay at the Argo. Once with our two Teenage boys May 2022 and this time just my wife & I for a 4 night mini break Early Oct off this year. Firstly The location of the Hotel is perfect. A short 100mtr stroll to the stunning cove of Platis Gialos beach that’s lined with great bars & restaurants and more. There is also a 10 minute bus ride just steps away from the hotel. This service that is so great and very inexpensive @£1.50pp. It runs every half an hour straight into the hustle bustle of the stunning Mykonos Town & the last bus back was 1am which was just perfect. Mykonos Town is a must visit but not a stay location for us & The one thing the Town doesn’t possess is a stunning beach vibe like Platis Gialos has. There’s Luxury cabana style sun loungers and great food and summer drinks to be enjoyed especially at our favourite beach side restaurant “Avli” It turns out that this Is owned by the Hotel Argo also. The Hotels owner Thanasis and tbh All of his team, are some of the most welcoming and genuine people you could ever wish to meet. The service and attention to detail that they have brought to not only the Hotel, but there restaurant and there bakery that they also run on site Is first class. Always when we go away one big consideration is to indulge in the local cuisine and wine & The standard of food here In the resort and more importantly at the hotel is exceptional. The breakfast at Argo is soooo good and eaten poolside which is a lovely way to start each day. Everything was just so well presented and fresh and that certainly holds true when dinning with A sunset sea views at Restaurant Avli. There beach loungers that sit in front of there restaurant even convert into beach dinning tables dimly lite for the more intimate and romantic experience. There is an Amazing variety of local dishes served by a super slick team of fun loving servers, just perfect In our opinion and great value for money as well. I know we may sound like a total fanboys of this hotel in this review & that’s probably because we genuinely cannot fault it. The Argo hotel at Platis Gialos ticks so many boxes. Location, Cleanliness, comfort, service and All the staff especially the lovely Stavroula who runs the front of house reception work so hard to make your stay so very special. Thank you Thanasis your a wonderful Host. We shall return. And that won’t be long in the making. Yamas!! Justin & Nikki x

It has been 5 years since my wife and I visited Mykonos, some years for obvious reasons some years for not so obvious reasons, but we were really looking forward to going back to the Argo and we were certainly not disappointed. A lot has changed, it is now a much more upmarket hotel in my wifes view and as she works for a major US hotel chain in the UK, I am happy to agree with her council. The staff have changed from 5 years ago and Thanasis's sister Stavroula now manages the front desk, and what a lovely lady she is, by the way. The main pool area has been upgraded and the downstairs area has a lovely nice new plunge pool along with upgraded sun loungers. There is now three new shops built where the old car park was, a boutique, an eatery and a bakery. (My wifes fav being the bakery of course) The pick up and drop service is still there and is a real plus point on an island with very few taxis. As a final observation, this was our 16th visit to the Argo but we were shamed by a couple from Liverpool who were on their 41st visit to the hotel and first visited before there was a pool, try and beat that !!
