We stayed at the Comodoro apartments for 9 days for my 30th Birthday. The apartments are very well located, with easy access to the promenade and pool area. There is a very large pool at the complex, which was always very quiet with ample sun loungers.
The apartment is close to all amenities, with bars and restaurants within a 2 minute walk, and a taxi rank located at the entrance.
We stayed in room 206 which was located on the second floor. The room itself was slightly outdated, and did require a deep clean and freshen up, the pictures online do not really represent the apartments. However the balcony as pictured was large, and caught the sunset every evening which stopped us from asking for another room. This was a real highlight of the apartment, we enjoyed watching the boats coming and going at the ferry port opposite. Please note the ferrys start operation around 8am with loud horns/ engines this did not bother us however would if you wanted a sleep in.
The apartment was cleaned every couple of days to a basic adequate standard. We did also find that the shower only stayed hot for a couple of minutes, so you had to be quick!
We did not cook in the apartment so can not comment on the kitchen facilities.
In conclusion this apartment is ideal if you want a base to explore the Los Cristianos area, however be prepared for basic living areas but great views and good location.

These apartments are in a perfect location and are basic but more than adequate for an enjoyable holiday. The staff are friendly. One downside is that the pool doesn't open until 10 and there are only around 17 sunbeds which leads to a queue first thing in the morning. The sunbed charge is 1 euro per bed per day and personally I would have been happy to pay more if the business purchased more beds. The pool area is clean and water temperature isn't too bad.

The location is ideal, right in front of the beach & yet has a good sized pool which was lovely to swim in and never too busy (at the beginning of November).
Yes you have to get subbed at 10am but 3 of us never once missed out on them. A lot of people who live in these apartments have their own.

Staff are friendly and helpful.

Happy hour 4-6pm was brilliant with 2 for 1 cocktails and sangria. You can take them round the pool if you ask for paper cups.

The apartments are dated like the reviews say but the kitchen was more than adequate. No air con but there seems to be very few bugs so we slept with the patio door open all night and that was nice.

The beds are hit and miss for example 1 bed in our apartment was memory foam and very comfy while the other was springs and you could feel every one.

Walking distance of loads of bars and restaurants, little supermarkets etc and just down the road is a massive market on Saturday (not sure what other days). and highly recommend the seafood restaurant right in front on the beach, it was outstanding.

Overall, I would definitely go back because it was so cheap and close to the airport.

Awful. The photos in the advertisement do not correspond to reality. Worn and yellow appliances. Dirty kitchen utensils and even food remains from the previous tenants. There is only a used cauldron and a lid that does not even correspond to it. The pan is dented and there is no more. Interior shelves and hinges full of wear and rust. In the white and noisy refrigerator at night there was a pill of knowing what medicine or substance.
Horrendous bathroom with a sewage smell, without even a toilet roll holder with 5 rolls on the basin.
Sinks without a sad soap to wash your hands and the glass worn around the edges and lighting fixtures with unprotected halogen bulbs. Plastic shower curtain torn and stained without a shelf to put bath gels.
The entrance wall full of wet and blown paint. The beds with spring mattresses that are already outdated and too soft. The TV remote does not work since the batteries are crushed or bitten, nor do I want to know why they were like this. The furniture is not close to that of the advertisement and the access door to the terrace with the rails full of dirt that is even difficult to open. They give you a cleaning set (brush, dustpan, mop and blade), but they do not give you products to keep the room clean.
The outdoor area looks like a hotel from the 80s. The area adjacent to the pool is under construction, unmarked and covered with boards that clearly have not been touched for years. Access to the pool is correct but the best of all is that the hammocks are chained and you have to pay €1 per day per person to get a hammock, of course self-service since there is no one there to control except to charge you for That's what they are paying attention to.
In short, 3 horrible nights that I don't even plan to return.

The Comodoro accommodation was not the best in my experience. I won’t advise anyone to go there as I paid for a studio apartment back in 2023 and the studio looked very nice, it had a good view until I slept in the bed which contained bedbugs – pictures attached.

Me and my partner were moved to another room which was completely different layout as the previous room to which, we were more focused on enjoying the holiday and with that in mind, we agreed to stay in the new room. Unfortunately, around 1 o’clock in the night when we were sleeping, someone came and tried to get into our room and broke the door handle in the trying. So, we ended up again worried about what was happening in there and ‘unknowing at the time’ it happened that a staff member had given a couple the wrong room key to which was due to a lack of communication. That night we slept in a room with the potentially damaged door handle that couldn’t perform its design to properly to secure the room.

After all those events the staff apologized, and we had received a complimentary voucher to come back to the hotel.
We decided to give it a second opportunity to see if we would have a better experience but unfortunately this wasn’t the case as we received a studio which we did not know the condition of. No one deserves to pay for a deteriorating room even though when booking the pictures were showing a good condition again - pictures attached. We both don’t need to say much. Anyway, after arriving in the building are thoughts were as, we had paid for it and our sacrifices to get money to pay for a good holiday I believe hotels like this shouldn’t be allowed to have guests put in these conditions. Another note to point out is I asked to extend the stay prior to booking out for a further two hours because of our flight and offered to pay the small difference but we were met with the approach of you will have to pay the full amount of 30 euros and for a place that has poor conditions. Really?

The only thing good it’s the receptionists they have a good customer service.

First of all, I will start with the positives. The location of Commodore is excellent, and a very convenient base for Los Cristianos. The reception staff are also very friendly and helpful. Also, the pool area and outdoor space is very well maintained.

The problem is the rooms that are owned by the main office. These are typically dated and run down. I booked one of these rooms directly with the company, and paid around 115 euros per night, so by no means a cheap stay.

The room I was allocated was 201T. This was on the second floor and tucked away in the corner, with the balcony facing into another apartment. No real view at all, which is the main selling point for commodoro. That was disappointing, but the luck of the draw.

What was the worst thing was the apartment had cockroaches in the bathroom and in the main living area. I know Tenerife is a warm climate and cockroaches are present, but this seemed like a bigger problem. What seemed like the WiFi router was actually a large industrial size pest repellent wired into the lounge area. It didn't work though, as during the night over several nights I saw cockroaches roaming about. It was really odd putting and I didn't sleep well as a result. I also brought absolutely no food into the apartment in an attempt to keep them away. Not ideal if your plan was to cook meals and snacks, but I just couldn't risk encouraging them

The apartment itself was clean, but everything is just old. The bathroom in particular needs a full refurbishment. The toilet wouldn't flush and when fixed by maintenance, it started running constantly. Chipped tiles and a cracked mirror and just generally old and worn.

These apartments are tired and are in need of refurbishment, and it really is scandalous to be charging such high prices for such poor quality.

Our 5th (I think) stay at the Comodoro and it is ideal for what we want! Our room 303A was spotless, nicely decorated with a fantastic view over the harbour...the best sunsets ever! Comfortable beds, small shower which sometimes ran out of hot water. Basic toiletries (shampoo and soap) but washing up liquid, tea towels etc provided. Lovely balcony, big fridge with freezer. Receptionists always helpful and friendly. Taxis outside the door, short walk to the bus station. Steps from the seafront and restaurants and bars. Great for a fairly basic base in a great location.

Just back from another week's break in Los Cristianos, we have visited the area many times so have a good understanding of what to expect. Booked through easyJet this time as their accommodation photos looked really nice and modern - sadly, the reality of room 303A bears absolutely no resemblance to what was sold to us. Very old fashioned kitchen, no oven or microwave - it's a self catering apartment! Beds were rock hard, shower tray ingrained dirt. Good sized fridge freezer, although be careful not to put glass bottles in the door shelves as they will fall out.

Pool and gardens were very good, well looked after and only €1/day for sun bed hire. Was peaceful and not too busy. Location is excellent - opposite the crazy golf and bowling if you know the area. Staff were very friendly.

We'll be back to Los Cristianos, but definitely not these appointments.

This hotel is clean, all the facilities in this hotel are quite efficient, even a freezer and a washing machine and to top it all you have your own boiler so hot water all the time and the staff are absolutely brilliant. The view is stunning from our balcony, where it's situated is perfect room 204A, can't say a bad word. We were here for 7 beautiful days. Thank you Comodoro and all the staff. Room cleaned twice couldn’t ask for anything better beds really comfy memory foam pillow. 30 yard from the beach.

We have just spent 8 nights at these apartments. We stayed in a one bedroom apartment 701T and although the apartment was basic it had everything we needed and the balcony was massive. The location is amazing right on the front. There was some traffic at night having the windows open but not too bad. The bedding and towels were changed regularly and we managed to get a late check out for €20 on our last day which makes all the difference for your last day. Will definitely be back
