Comfortable, cosy rooms with everything we needed for an overnight stop. The curry night food was very good and extremely welcome after a long day's trekking. Most of all, the team here, led by Lorna, were extremely helpful. There was a real sense they were committed to making our stay as comfortable as possible - as well as adhering to all the necessary Covid precautions and procedures.
This is the very best Sunday lunch for miles around. They are really on top of the COVID issues. The Service was great - friendly and helpful and everything prompt and hot. Beer is good too! Can’t fault it.
We needed a one night stay in a dog-friendly B&B on a Sunday, not far from Ruthin and Denbigh, where my partner would be working on the Monday. The Raven's website - plus the price, to be honest - encouraged our booking, even though they couldn't offer breakfast but a self-catering mini-kitchen. On arrival we were charmed firstly by the location, having driven through superb scenery to the attractive village. The room then surpassed our expectations as, while matching the website pictures, it had much more to offer, particularly a surprise complimentary breakfast of cereal, croissant, butter, jam, orange juice, fresh milk - as well as the usual teabags and instant drinks - AND real ground coffee. It was equipped to a higher standard than we've experienced in far more expensive self catering cottages. The bedroom was well-presented, warm and cosy on this chilly evening, with free WiFi, tv, armchair, table and chairs, a good en suite shower with toiletries, and a very comfy bed. When we read that this is a community inn, run by volunteers, we were astonished - and grateful! We're just sorry we weren't on holiday so we could have lingered over breakfast - and then stayed another couple of days to sample the evening meals!…
This where we catch up with our friends and have a lovely Sunday lunch which was delicious 😋 and it’s lovely to spend on Sunday afternoon. It’s quirky little pub and everyone is friendly and staff are lovely 😊. We will be back 😊
Nice Sunday lunch with friends. The puddings are the better part of the meal. As it is a community run pub the service is limited and sporadic, Be sure to ask staff what the Welsh on the fireplace means - not many of them know!
